Stella Ann Lucosky Vukmanic, 71, of Mather, who was born in Smock, Pa., died Monday, May 28, 2001, in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She is survived by her children: Michael Vukmanic of Waynesburg, Pa., and Rebecca "Becky" Vukmanic Piatnek of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia; grandchildren: Jennifer Piatnek, Nicole Piatnek, Andrew Piatnek, Michael Vukmanic, Kelly Marie Vukmanic, Brian Yorko, G. R. Yorko; sisters: Helen Lucosky Kraszewski of Clifton, New Jersey, Mary Lucosky Calderio of Garfield, New Jersey, Alice Lucosky Gorski of Wallington, New Jersey, Irene Lucosky Juran of East Millsboro, Pa.; and brothers: John Lucosky of Rockaway, New Jersey, and Joseph Lucosky of Wallington, New Jersey.

Catherine Blanche Shoemaker Watson
Catherine Blanche Shoemaker Watson, 93, of Scottdale, who was born in Twilight, Washington County, Pa., died Sunday evening, May 27, 2001, in Harmon House Convalescent Center, Mount Pleasant.
She is survived by four daughters: Lucy I. Watson of Pittsburgh, Pa., Lois M. Watson Lynn and her husband, Franklin D. Lynn, of Scottdale, Lorraine F. Watson Wells and her husband, James Wells, of Scottdale, and Luella J. Watson of Philadelphia, Pa.; grandchildren: Frank Lynn Jr. and his wife Nancy, Jeanne Lynn, David Lynn and his wife Barbara, James Wells Jr. and his wife Barbara, and Thomas Well and his wife Sandra; and seven great-grandchildren. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.
Family and friends will be received at the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring Street, Scottdale, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 30, until 10:30 a.m.
Evelyn Michaux Welsh
Evelyn Michaux Welsh, 79, of Footedale, Pa., died Saturday, May 26, 2001, in Beverly HealthCare Center, Uniontown, Pa., where she had been a resident for the past year.
Born in Point Marion, Pa., on January 6, 1922, and raised in Stewartstown, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Fernand Michaux and Lily Morris Michaux.
She was a member of Point Marion Apostolic Church.
Her husband, Sylvester K. Welsh, died September 14, 1978. Also deceased are two sisters, Dorothy Harden and Virginia Harden, and her parents.
Surviving are three daughters: Wilma J. McMinn of Morgantown, West Virginia, Barbara Wade of Footedale, and Carolyn Stanley of Waynesburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Augusta Ware of Point Marion; and a brother, Fred Michaux of New Jersey.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Visitation continues Wednesday, May 30, in Point Marion Apostolic Church from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Services will then be held with her grandson, Rev. James Sanders, officiating.
Interment follows in Eden Cemetery, Stewartstown, W.Va.

Ann E. Williams, 71, of Rowes Run, Pa., died Monday afternoon, May 28, 2001, in West Penn Allegheny Health System, Allegheny General, Pittsburgh, Pa.

George Yusko, 76, of Fayette City, who was born in Bentleyville, Pa., United States Navy Veteran of World War II, died Sunday, May 27, 2001, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
He is survived by his children: Carol Yusko and Debbie Yusko, George Watson at home, Diane and her husband, George Shaw, of Grindstone, Pa., and Angela and her husband, David Perrichetti, of Webster, Pa.; brother: Joseph Yusko and his wife, Ellie, of Goose Creek, South Carolina; sisters: Helen and her husband, Larry Morozek, of Fayette City, Pa., Nancy and her husband, Mickey Mucci, of Perryopolis, Pa., Mary and her husband, John Kossol of Florida; grandchildren: David, Julee, David, John, Jason, Ryan; and great-grandchildren: Kristen, Jacquiline and Gabriel.

Emma Ruth Donley Zimmerman, 88, of Mount Morris, who was born in Bald Hill, Dunkard Township, Greene County, Pa., was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 27, 2001, from Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg.
She is survived by two sons: John Wesley Zimmerman of Orlando, Florida, and James Harry Zimmerman of Winter Park, Florida; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.

His parents, David W. and Marianne Kalp Bates of Latrobe; his wife, Jennifer Beranek Bates; a son, Alex L. Bates; two daughters, Samantha M. and Sarah E. Bates; two brothers, J. Scott Bates of Greensburg and Brian D. Bates of Latrobe; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Bates of Greensburg and his maternal grandmother, Olive Kalp of Latrobe, survive him.

Veronica C. Chekosky
Veronica C. Daniel Chekosky, 81, of Greensboro R.D.1, Pa., passed away Monday, January 29, 2001, in Rolling Meadows Long Term Care and Rehabilitation Facility, Waynesburg, Pa.
She was born April 5, 1919, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, daughter of Stephen Daniel and Mary Przybysz Daniel.
Veronica spent most of her life in Greene County but in her youth she had lived and worked in New York City for several years.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Greensboro.
On September 2, 1940, she married Peter Chekosky. He died January 27, 1996.
Also deceased are a sister, Mary Daniel, two brothers, Joseph Daniel and Stephen Daniel Jr., and her parents.
She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Thomas (Rose) Popernack of Hampton, Virginia, and Mrs. Joseph (Mary Lou) Billetz of Cleveland, Ohio; one son, Paul Chekosky of Carmichaels, Pa.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five sisters: Mrs. Orville (Regina) Fry, Hays, Virginia, Mrs. Edward (Mary) Gilbert, Carmichaels, Pa., Mrs. Harry (Ceil) Shocket, Orlando, Florida, Mrs. Charles (Sophia) Stoner, Palm Bay, Florida, and Mrs. Charles (Agnes) Clark, Tallmadge, Ohio; two brothers: Lawrence Daniel, Detroit, Michigan, and Frank Daniel, Dilliner, Pa.; also several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Greensboro, with Rev. Fr. Lawrence V. Holpp as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro.
Parish Vigil Service will be held in the Funeral Home today at 2 p.m.

Irene D. (Ondik) Costel, 85, of West Mifflin, died Friday, Jan. 26, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Her son, Eugene Costel of West Mifflin; two daughters, Marcella Jaskulski of West Mifflin and Patricia Bernd of Monroeville; six grandchildren; one great-grandchildren and two brothers, George Ondik of Mount Pleasant and Albert Ondik of Connellsville, survive her.

Carolyn Lowry Graham
Carolyn Virginia Lowry Graham, 58, of Chester, Virginia, died Monday, January 15, 2001.
She was a native of Dunbar, Fayette County, Pa., and was born to Solon D. and Blanche R. Lowry.
She worked at McGuires Veterans Affairs Hospital for over 19 years.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Graham; one son, Steve Graham and his wife, Michelle; one daughter, Kim and her husband, Eric Chase; seven grandchildren: Solon Graham, Kiley Graham, Cody Chase, Joshua Chase, Logan Chase, Megan Chase and Luke Chase; four sisters: Louise Vasilou of Long Beach, California, Naomi Camp of LaGrange, Indiana, Lois C. "Katie" Hillegas of Scottdale, Pa., and Ella J. Baumbauer of Spokane, Washington; two brothers: Dearl J. "Bud" Lowry of Weltytown, Pa., and Emery Lowry of Long Beach, California.; many nieces and nephews.

Curtis C. Haith, 21, of Connellsville, died Saturday, at his residence.
His mother, Vicki Lee Haith Fitzgerald of Connellsville; a brother, William H. Fitzgerald Jr. of Connellsville; two sisters, Nichelle Lynn Haith of Detroit, Mich., and Veronica Ann Fitzgerald of Connellsville and maternal grandparents, Wallace (Spanky) and Patricia Haith of Detroit, Mich., survive him.

George Elmer Lenhart
Captain George Elmer Lenhart, United States Marine Corps (Retired), 75, of Beaufort, South Carolina, died Saturday, January 27, 2001, at his residence.
He was born March 2, 1925, in Confluence, Somerset County, Pa., son of Harry W. Lenhart and Alice E. Smith Lenhart.
He retired a Captain from the United States Marine Corps after serving in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.
Following retirement he owned and operated Paralegal Services Inc. in Beaufort.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beaufort, Somerset Lodge 358 F.&A.M., and Pittsburgh Syria Shrine.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Smith Lenhart; a daughter, Susan E. Lenhart of Beaufort, South Carolina; and sisters: Miriam L. (Lenhart) Glessner of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Carolyn Lenhart Cook of District Heights, Maryland.
