Lena Mullen Flesher
Lena Mae Mullen Flesher of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2001, in Uniontown Hospital with her family at her side.
She was born in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Peter S. Mullen and Carrie Richter Mullen.
Lena was a member of Central Christian Church and former member of Madeline Rebekah Lodge.
She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Mother-in-Law.
In prior years she enjoyed gardening, shopping, cooking, baking, and caring for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her phone friends, radio, newspaper, and the comforts of home.
She will truly be missed by many!
Her husband, Robert Earl Flesher, died in 1972. Also deceased are three brothers, Joseph, Donald and James Mullen, a sister, Catherine Mullen Cain, and her parents. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, William A. Robinson, in 1999.
She is survived by two daughters: Carolyn Robinson with whom she made her home and who lovingly cared for her for many years and Karen Cramer and her husband, Randall, of Smock R.D.1, Pa.; and three grandchildren: Shari and her husband, Brad Rogers, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., Scott Cramer of Hopwood, Pa., and Brian Cramer of Dover, Pa.
She is also survived by a brother and three sisters: Edison Mullen of Uniontown, Pa., Sarah Peterson of Smithton, Pa., Mildred Shultz of Butler, Pa., and Viola Shaw of New York.
A private service was held Thursday, March 22, at the SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, with her son-in-law, Randall Cramer, officiating.
Interment followed in Oak Grove Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

Joseph V. Guerra
Joseph V. Guerra, 74, of Coal Center, Pa., died Monday, March 26, 2001, in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc., Carroll Township.
He was born September 8, 1926, in Monessen, Pa., son of Joseph Guerra and Mary Rossi Guerra.
He was a member of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church in Charleroi and Monessen Council No. 954 Knights of Columbus.
Prior to retirement he was an employee of Monessen-South-Western Railroad for 42 years.
Two brothers, Louis and James Guerra, two cousins, Richard Parente and George Rossi, and his parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Skira Guerra; son, Joseph Guerra III and his wife, Ida, of Belle Vernon, Pa.; daughter, Michele Guerra of California, Pa.; son, James A. Guerra and his wife, Patricia A., of Belle Vernon; son, Thomas H. Guerra and his wife, Deborah E., of Long Branch, Pa.; son, Louis J. Guerra and his wife, Sharon, of Long Branch; a brother, Michael Guerra of Monessen, Pa.; and 10 grandchildren: Angel Marie Vogel, Joseph Guerra IV, Jamie A. Guerra, Marcy Lynn Guerra, Alicia Ann Guerra, Christopher Guerra, Anthony Guerra, Daniele Guerra, Brett A. Guerra, and Tyler John Guerra.
Friends will be received at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Boulevard, Monessen, Pa., A Golden Rule Funeral Home, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held Friday, March 30, at Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Charleroi: Panachida Service at 10:30 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m. with Rev. Fr. James Spontak officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Rostraver Township.

Dorothy McBurnie Hixon
Dorothy Mae McBurnie Hixon, 70, of Summerville, South Carolina, and formerly of Clarksville, Pa., who was born in Elizabeth, Pa., died Thursday, March 22, 2001.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frederick (Donna Jean) Skobel, and a son, David William Hixon Sr., both of Summerville, South Carolina; grandchildren: Shawn Skobel, Christsie Jo Skobel, Cassandra Jo Skobel, David William Hixon Jr., Harrison Cody Hixon; great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn "Katie" Skobel, Joseph Skobel, Harley Skobel; and a sister, Barbara McBurnie Reinhart.
A Memorial Service was held Monday, March 26, in the James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel in Summerville.

Helen Koshi Marflak
Helen Koshi Marflak, 87, of Greensboro, Pa., died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at 8:30 p.m. in Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.
She was born December 3, 1913, in Martin, Pa., daughter of George Koshi and Mary Mayluk Koshi.
She was a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Greensboro and S.N.P.J. Lodge.
On August 7, 1933, she married Andrew M. Marflak. He died in 1973.
Also deceased are two children, Margaret Marflak and Andrew Marflak Jr., five brothers, Charles, Joe, John, Mike and Steve Koshi, and her parents.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Mary Ann) Barrish of Greensboro; daughter-in-law, Diana Marflak of Willowick, Ohio; three grandchildren: Andrew Barrish, Debra Delpra, and Tina Marflak; four great-grandsons: Christopher Delpra, Kyle Delpra, Matthew Barrish, and Joshua Marflak; and six sisters: Veronica Buonanno of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Mary Krzyna of Stratford, Connecticut, Katherine Zembar of New Geneva, Pa., Rose Popovich of Masontown, Pa., Josephine Balcik of Monroeville, Pa., and Agnes Kormanik of Masontown, Pa.
Friends will be received at the PAUL MICHAEL LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 28, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Greensboro, with Rev. Fr. Lawrence Holpp as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
Parish Vigil Service today at 8:30 p.m.

Harold R. Martin Jr.
Harold R. "Marty" Martin Jr., 66, of Byron, Michigan, and formerly of Texas, who was born in Fairchance, Pa., died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at Genesys Health Park, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
He is survived by his second wife, Josephine Marguereat Nelson Cool Martin, whom he married October 18, 1995; children: Karen L. Martin White of Washington state and Rowland W. Martin of Byron, Michigan; stepdaughters: Terry Cool Forsyth and her husband, Duane Forsyth, Carol Cool, Dawn Cool, and Janine Cool; grandchildren: Trevor C. Martin, Amy Leyava, and Michael D. Kaufman and his wife, Eileen; great-grandchildren: Caleb Kaufman, Nathaniel Kaufman, Corah Lynae Kaufman; seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; sisters: Mrs. Robert (June) Hulteen of Kerrville, Texas, Mrs. Donald (Lois) Spradlin of Prescott, Arizona, Mrs. Richard (Nora) Wilson of Milford, Michigan, and Enza Martin Bentz of Goldsboro, North Carolina; a brother, Francis W. Martin of Granbury, Texas; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the Streeter Funeral Home Inc., 507 West Maple, Byron, Michigan, today from Noon to 9 p.m. with the family present from Noon to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 28, until 1 p.m. Interment will be in Byron.

Freeda Hanam Morris
Freeda Hanam Morris, 89, of Perryopolis, Pa., died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at 11:10 p.m. in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown.
She was born October 22, 1911, in Perryopolis Borough, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Daniel J. Hanam and Catherine Bistel Hanam.
She was a member of Perryopolis Methodist Church and past Matron of the Dawson Chapter No. 437 Order of the Eastern Star.
Her husband, Calvin E. Morris, son, Leonard M. Morris, and her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by three grandchildren: Kevin Morris of Grindstone, Pa., Jeffrey Morris and his wife, Pamela, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Christopher Morris of Battle Creek, Michigan; four great-grandchildren: Jeffrey David Morris, Kristie Lynn Morris, Lenny Allen Morris, and Georgie Ann Eileen Morris; nieces: Mrs. John (Carol) Brown of Fayette City, Pa., Mrs. Bernard (Nancy) Caruhel of Florida, and Mary Jane Carr of Carlisle, Pa.; nephew, James Carr of Florida; and a brother, Leonard Hanam of Star Junction, Pa.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 28, until 10 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. Brock R. Beveridge officiating. Interment follows in Mount Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis. Eastern Star Service will be held this evening at 7 p.m. by Dawson Chapter No. 437 Order of the Eastern Star.

Agnes Sauers Stauft
Agnes Marie Sauers Stauft, 88, of Sarasota, Florida, and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in Vencor Hospital.
She was born July 19, 1912, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of John Sauers and Catherine Sherry Sauers.
Agnes was a member of St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, Uniontown Country Club, St. Martha’s Roman Catholic Church in Sarasota, and Palm Air Country Club.
She was a devoted worker for the Red Cross and graduate of the former St. John High School.
Her husband, Robert B. Stauft, sisters, Peggy Conway, Betty Pokorski, Rita Sedlak, brothers, Lawrence Sauers, J. H. Sauers, William Sauers, and her parents preceded her in death.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Susan Measelle of Connecticut; grandchildren: Jeffrey Measelle, Laura Measelle Ivins, Susana Measelle Hubbs, Millicent Measelle, and Stephen Measelle; three great-grandchildren: Isabelle Ivins, Gabriele Ivins, and Aidan Hubbs; a sister, Claire Solomon of Deer Lake, Chalk Hill, Pa.; a brother, Don Sauers of New Rochelle, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., on Sunday, April 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Monday, April 2, when a Blessing Service will be held (time will be announced).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, with Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Victor Stickovich
Victor Stickovich, 68, of Marianna and formerly of Dry Tavern, who was born in Pitt Gas, Pa., died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
On January 29, 1955, he married Lucy Marrollo Stickovich, who survives.
Also surviving are seven children: Victor Stickovich and Vincent Stockovich both of Waynesburg, Pa., Mrs. Ronnie (Kathy) Bogdan of Rices Landing, Pa., Mrs. Dale (Sue) Pushey and Mrs. Patrick (Tammy) Knight both of Jefferson, Mrs. Dave (Janice) Carney and Mrs. James (Toni) Hightower both of Winter Springs, Florida; and 12 grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Behm Funeral Home Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 28, from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Edna C. Eicher
Edna Catherine Eicher, 73, of Kingview Road, Scottdale (Upper Tyrone Township), Pa., passed away suddenly Sunday evening, July 29, 2001, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant.
Edna was a loving sister and aunt to her family. She was retired from the Decorating Department at Anchor Hocking in South Connellsville, with 47 years of service.
Edna is survived by her devoted family: her sister, Flora Mae Overly of Kingview; her two brothers, Earl Cramer Sr. of Scottdale R.D. 1, and Kenneth Cramer Sr., of Kingview; numerous nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Don Otto of Kingview.
Family and friends will be received in the Robert B. Ferguson Funeral Home, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, today from 7 to9 p.m., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday at 11 a.m., the hour of service.

James E. Krepps Jr.
James Edgar Krepps Jr., 85, of Bloomington, Ind., died Sunday, June 22, 2001, at 1:25 p.m.
He was born in Merrittstown, Pa., the son of James Edgar and Belle Brown Krepps.
He was an electronic design engineer and held many patents on the parts in color TV
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was an instructor at the Naval Research Lab in Washington, D.C. When he was a First Class Petty Officer, he taught high ranking naval officers the electronic and radar equipment used to aim and fire the Iowa Class Battleships main gun turrets. He was promoted to Warrant Officer.
Survivors include his wife, Opal; a son, Mark of Bloomington, Ind.; a grandson, James III and Clair Krepps of Washington, N.J.
He was a 50-year member of the Uniontown F. & A.M. Lodge No. 228. He also taught school as a young man in Waltersburg, Pa., from 1934 to 1935.
