Martha Marie Condron, 90, of Smicksburg, died Thursday, April 17, 2003 at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville. Arrangements are in care of the McCabe Funeral Home.
Richard L. Newcome, 59, of 982 Burkett Hollow Rd., Punxsutawney, died Monday, April 28, 2003 at his residence.
The Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, is in charge of the arrangements.
Bruce Baughman Bullers, 67, of 4042 Brookville St., Hawthorn, died Friday, July 11, 2003 at Clarion Hospital, Clarion. Arrangements are in care of the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home.
Mary E. States, 79, died Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at the McKinley Health Center, Brookville. Arrangements are in care of the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
Edward E. Vrobel, 87, of Henderson Township, died Thursday, July 10, 2003, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital. Arrangements are in care of the McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
Isa Mary Weaver, 90, of 228 Davis St., Uhrichsville, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at Twin City Hospital, Dennison, Ohio. Arrangements are in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home, Dennison, Ohio.
Services for Frances Joan Frankie Derrick were held December 30, 2003 at Richardson s Mortuary in Benson, Arizona.
Frankie was born June 22, 1931, in Lebo, Kansas. She passed away December 22, 2003 at her home in Benson, Arizona.
Frankie married John L. Kelly in 1952 in Flagstaff, Arizona. They had two children, John and Mary. After her husband s death, she married Mike Derrick, Sr. in 1958 and moved to Tucson.
They had two children, Mike Jr. and Rodney. She worked as a telephone operator for U S West for a number of years. After her divorce, she remained in Tucson and worked for the State of Arizona in the Department of Mines and Mineral Resources.
She also worked as a caregiver for terminally ill patients in their homes. Up until the time of her death, she owned and operated AA Mobile Home Park in Benson, Arizona.
Frankie was one of the most beautiful and kindhearted persons you would ever know. Every person she knew was touched by her generosity, love and hospitality.
She was a wonderful mother, even during the worst of times. She always protected and cared for her children and grandchildren, She always put others needs before her own.
She had many friends and family, who will miss her and her loving spirit.
She is survived by her children, John L. Kelly (Shirley), Mary Kelly-Cake (Harvey), Mike Derrick Jr. (Joy), and Rodney Derrick.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lauren and Allysen Kelly, Leon and Leah Cake, Jessica, Christopher, Mikey, and Adam Derrick, her former husband, Mike Derrick, Sr., and her good friends, Judy Rossell, Edna Smith, Mary and Vanessa Ventura, and special companion, Charlie Anderson.
Burial was held at Calvary Cemetery in Flagstaff, Arizona on Tuesday, December 30, 2003. Pastor David L. Daffern officiated.
Lenore C. Michaels, 80, of Glendale, passed away on December 21, 2003.
She was born on October 16, 1923 to William T. and Agnes Ostdick (nee Kroeger) in Elgin, IL. Before her retirement in 1985, Lenore was employed with the Santa Fe Railroad as a Train Order Operator.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty (James) Caldwell and Diana Tribbey; son, William J. Michaels; brother, William T. Ostdick; sister-in-law, Gloria Ostdick; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a faithful dog, Bart, whom she loved dearly. Lenore was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William W. Michaels, whom she married on Oct. 1, 1949; a brother, Larry; and three sisters, Jeanette, Lois and Agnes.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at St. Xavier Catholic Church, 4715 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix. Graveside service followed on Saturday, December 27, 2003 led by Father Dan Hussey of the Catholic Community of Winslow. Interment was at Desert View Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the care of the Chapel of Chimes of Phoenix along with Greer s Mortuary of Winslow.
Wallace Waylon Slowtalker, 41, of Winslow, passed away Jan. 1, 2004 in Kingman. He was born on March 30, 1962 at Birdsprings to John and Zonnie Slowtalker.
Wallace loved horses, enjoyed horseback riding and listening to country music. His other hobby was doing Arts & Crafts projects and making kachina dolls.
He liked teasing people of all ages and joked around with friends and relatives.
He is survived by his parents, John and Zonnie Slowtalker; five brothers, Wilso Slowtalker, Jerry Slowtalker, Norman Slowtalker, Jimmy Slowtalker and Dan Slowtalker; four sisters, Susie Ramirez, Virginia Yazzie, Elizabeth Dudley and Vina Mann. He is also survived by a granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews
Funeral Services were held Monday, Jan 5 at First Baptist Church in Winslow. Burial followed at Desert View Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Norvel Owens Mortuary of Winslow.

Services for Jason Aaron Cody, 19, were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Jan. 9, 2004 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Leupp Branch, in Leupp, Pastor Joe Cody officiating. Viewing was held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Interment was at Round Cedar Cemetery.
Cody was born on Dec. 18, 1984 in Scottsbluff, Neb. He passed away on Jan. 2, 2004 in Leupp. His hobbies included drawing, model cars and listening to music. He loved to tease and joke around. He will be greatly missed by everyone.
His survivors include his father, Jack Cody Jr. of Leupp; mother, Marie Janus Cody Luther of Cow Springs; son, Rondell Kenneth Nez Cody of Birdsprings; girlfriend, Marshella of Birdsprings; sisters, Lolita Janus Cody (Terry Foster) of Leupp, Janicee Janus (Adrian) Charley of Flagstaff, Carmelita Janus (Robert) Manygoats of Kaibito, Jacqueline Janus Cody of Leupp, Leighanne Williams of Cameron, and Robin Jensen Cody of Tempe; paternal grandfather, Jack Cody Sr.; two aunts, Nellie Cody of Winslow and Lillie Cody of Flagstaff; uncles, Joe Cody of Vander Wagon, NM, Eugene Cody of Leupp, Leonard Cody of Leupp, Larry Luther of Leupp, Billie Luther and Bobby Luther, both of Cowsprings, and Eddie Luther of Winslow; grandmothers, Rena Foster and Mannie Cody, both of Leupp; and Clan brother Tom Foster of Leupp. He had many cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, grandparents, friends, and brothers- and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Helen Cody; maternal grandparents, John and Lula Luther; uncles, Nedgene Cody and Henry Luther; two aunts, Dollie Cody and Lula Cody; and great-grandmother, Bah Cody.
Arrangements under the care of Greer s Mortuary of Winslow.
