Melvin Herman Rogers, 75, of ManorCare, formerly 132 Reo Ave., Lancaster, died Monday morning at his residence.
He retired in 1976 as a Chief from the Navy after 30 years. Recently, he worked at the Lancaster Post Office for 22 years.
He was a Naval Recruiter from 1961 - 1966 in Lancaster. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #18 in Thoms River, NJ and was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Lancaster. He also loved animals.
Born in Williamsport he was the son of the late George and Anna Mae Miller Rogers.
He was marriage to Nancy J. Charles Rogers for 27 years.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters: Robin, marriage to Brent Sauder of Washington Boro and Lisa Nudy of Newburgh, Indiana; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Leroy Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, 719 Marietta Ave., Lancaster on Friday at 11:00AM. Friends may call at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster on Thursday evening from 7:00PM until 9:00PM. Interment in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery. Samuel B. Nafziger
Samuel B. Nafziger, 91, of LaCrete, AB, Canada, passed away April 8, 2005 after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 29, 1913 at Milbank, ON, Canada to the late Elia and Mattie (Boshart) Nafziger. He formerly lived in Christiana, PA. He graduated from Eastern Mennonite College in 1940. He taught at the Iowa Mennonite School. He then spent approx. twenty five years teaching the Old Order Colony Mennonite in Northern, Alberta, Canada Following this they spent seventeen years representing the Canadian Bible Society in the Northwest Territory of Canada. Before retiring they spent three years in Russia teaching English. Samuel and Martha retired at the age of eighty five after serving their Lord in His work.
He is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Martha (Beachy) Nafziger; four sons, Lowell, Rockford, IL, Clair, Portland, OR, David, Harrisonburg, VA and Clifford, High Prairie, AB; one daughter, Linda Nafziger-Meiser, Boise, Idaho and a number of grandchildren. Also surviving, three brothers, Ira, Milbank, ON Canada, Melville, Lititz and Andrew, Bally, PA and two sisters, Catherine Esch and Adeline King, both of Lititz. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Emanuel, Levi, Ephraim, and Ezra, one sister, Lovina Mast.
Services will be held Wed. April 13, 2005 1:30 PM at the Bergthaler Church, LaCrete, AB, Canada with Pastor Bill Kehler.
Robert L. McCumsey

Robert L. McCumsey, 77, formerly of Columbia died early Monday morning at Conestoga View where he had resided for the past year. He was the husband of Doris Ackerman McCumsey who survives.
Born in Wrightsville, he was the son of the late Harry and Elva Kinard McCumsey. He retired from Lancaster Press, where he worked as a proofreader and bindery department worker. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church. An avid collector of antiques, he enjoyed flowers and was a history buff particularly of Columbia and Lancaster history.
Funeral services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Thursday at 11:00AM. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday one-hour prior to the service. If desired, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the Columbia United Methodist Church 510 Walnut St. Columbia PA 17512.
David S. King

David S. King, 72, of 873 S. Railroad St., Myerstown (Jackson Twp., Leb. Co.) died Sunday, 9AM at the Ephrata Community Hospital, where he had been a patient since March 18th (natural causes-heart attack). He was the husband of Annie (Lapp) King.
He was a self employed fiberglass fabricator and a member of the Lebanon District of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 3 brothers, Levi King, Myerstown, Jacob King of Quarryville and Amos King of Drumore, Lancaster Co.; also 4 sisters, Mary (King), wife of Amos Esh, Myerstown, Fannie King, Lebanon, Mattie (King), wife of Aden Wenger, Millintown and Sarah (King), wife of Mahlon Miller, Dover, Delaware.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 10:00 AM at the residence. Burial will be in Lapp's Old Order Amish Cemetery, Heidelberg Twp., Lebanon Co. Friends may call from the time of this notice at the late residence. Hetrick Funeral Home, Womelsdorf is in charge of arrangements.
Rebeka Stoltzfus
Rebeka Stoltzfus, daughter of Omar S. and Martha Beiler Stoltzfus, of 207 Maxwell Rd. Morgantown, was stillborn on April 8, 2005 at Women and Babies Hospital, Lancaster.
Also surviving are a sister Mary Beth Stoltzfus at home; maternal grandparents, Christ and Rebecca Beiler of Bird-In-Hand and paternal grandparents, David K. and Priscilla Stoltzfus of Morgantown.

Malinda K. King
Malinda K. King, 82, of 33-B N. Ronks Rd., Ronks, died Sunday, April 10, 2005 at home after a one month illness.
Born in East Lampeter Twp., she was the daughter of the late David P. and Sarah King King.
Miss King was a domestic worker for various families and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are a brother, Enos, husband of Barbara Stoltzfus King of Paradise and a sister, Mary Beiler of Ronks.
Preceding her in death were her 3 sisters, Annie Lantz, Sarah Lapp and Sylvia King and 4 brothers, John, Ephraim, David and Daniel King.
Services will be held at the late home on Tuesday at 11:00AM (Standard Time). Interment in Beiler's Cemetery.
Friends may call at the late home from the time of this notice until the time of the service.

John S. Eshleman
John S. Eshleman, 52, of Mount Joy, formerly of Lebanon, died Saturday, April 9, 2005 in the Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Janet L. Seyfert Eshleman.
Born in Hershey on April 16, 1952, he was the son of the late John E. Eshleman and Irene M. Carr Eshleman Weiser of Hummelstown. He taught Carpentry for the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center.
He served for 27 years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard retiring as a Master Sgt. He was a 1970 graduate of Hershey High School and received his teaching certificate from Penn State University.
He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was an avid Hunter and Fisherman. He was a member of the 28th Division Artilleries Marksmanship Team for a number of years and also placed first one year.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother is a step-father, Gerrold J. Weiser of Hummelstown; a son, John B. Eshleman and wife, Lee Ann of Benton, PA and a daughter, Jaimie E. Eshleman of Hershey; a step-son, David L. Weiser and wife, Dana of Mount Joy and two step-daughters, Joanne, wife of Christopher Konevitch of Lebanon and Jody I., wife of Jeff Upton of Lebanon; a brother, Gerrold S. Weiser and wife Deborah of Middletown and two sisters, Susan, wife of Steve Ness of York and Patricia, wife of Donald Popp of Palmyra and nine grandchildren, Rachel Eshleman, Samantha Hume, Madeline and Emily Weiser, Arlena and Georgia Upton and Isaiah, Noah and Zachary Konevitch.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St. Annville. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with Military Honors. Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home.
