Charles W. Musselman
Charles W. Musselman, 76, of 70 Mt. Hope School Road, Willow Street, PA died on Monday, January 23, 2006 at Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster. He was the husband of Doris C. Morrison Musselman, and they had celebrated 49 years of marriage.
Mr. Musselman had been employed as a truck driver, for Miller-Hartman, Lancaster, and also for Millersville University maintaining their elevators retiring in 1992. He was of the Christian faith.
Charles was born in Providence Twp., son of the late Harry C. and Effie Keen Mussleman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Susan, marriage to Martin Rineer of Lititz, PA, his 3 sons David, marriage to Faye White of Kirkwood, PA, Mark, marriage to Sharon Musselman of New Providence, PA, Brian, marriage to Sandra Musselman of Pequea, PA, 12 grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, and his brother Dallas Musselman of Strasburg, PA. The Funeral Service will be held at New Providence Church of God, 269 Cinder Road, New Providence on Friday, January 27, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Lawrence Metzler and Pastor Stuart Osborne officiating. Burial will be in New Providence Church of God Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church on Friday from 9:30-10:30AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster PA 17604. Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA.

Larry L. Nissley
Larry L. Nissley, 59, of 1759 Rawlinsville Road, Holtwood, Pa., died unexpectedly on Monday, October 23, 2006 at his home. Larry was a custom farmer, harvesting in both Lancaster and York Counties. He had also worked at Manheim Auto Auction for 35 years. He enjoyed country western music and concerts, ice hockey and the Hershey Bears.
Larry was born in Lancaster, son of Paul and Rachel Newcomer Nissley of Holtwood, PA. He was baptized in the Mennonite faith. In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother; Donald Nissley of Lancaster, PA, his sister Joan marriage to Gary Dean of Strasburg, PA, 2 nephews and 3 nieces.
The Funeral Service will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Friday, October 27, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Tom Lefever officiating. Private burial will be in Willow Street Mennonite Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home on Thursday from 6:30-8:30 PM and on Friday from 9 -10 AM. Memorial contributions in Larry’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.

John Joseph "Jack" O'Brien
John Joseph "Jack" O'Brien, 82, of Elverson, Pennsylvania, formerly of Melville, New York died on September 28, 2005 in Lancaster, PA. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Fisher O'Brien with whom he recently celebrated 53 years of marriage. Born in Brooklyn, NY Jack was the son of the late J. Vincent O'Brien and Louise O'Brien. He graduated from Union College in 1944 with a civil engineering degree. Jack served in the navy during WWII and was stationed on the USS Indiana in the North Pacific. An avid athlete, he was a member of the Great Neck High School baseball, basketball and football teams. Jack worked in the construction industry on Long Island during his career and owned several successful businesses. He was an enthusiastic Boy Scout leader and enjoyed scouting with his three sons. Jack enjoyed a life-long love of golf and spent many winters golfing in Georgia and Florida with Barbara. After retirement, Jack and Barbara relocated to Elverson, P A to live closer to family. Jack was a member of St. Peter's Church, Honey Brook. Jack will be remembered as a caring, compassionate and fun-loving man who greatly enjoyed people. Jack touched many lives with his kindness, spirit and warm sense of humor.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, John Joseph, Jr., his wife DiAnna of Burgettstown, PA, daughter Shannon of Tacoma, WA and son Michael Vincent of Burgettstown, PA; James O'Brien, his wife Patty, daughter Katie and son Michael John of Quarryville, PA; William O'Brien, his wife Sue of Gurnee, IL, son Philip and daughter-in-law Jenny of Davis, CA, and daughter Liz of Gurnee, IL. Jack is also survived by two brothers, Robert O'Brien and his wife Mary Jane of Amagansett, NY and Vincent O'Brien and his wife Cecile of Huntington, NY. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 22nd at at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 1080 North Manor Road (Route 82), Honey Brook, PA 19344. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your school library of choice in Jack's memory.

Elwin L. Osborne
Elwin L. Osborne, 75, of 52 Locust Lane, Willow Street, Pa died on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster. He was the husband of Oma Twileen Hughes Osborne. They had celebrated 8 years of marriage. His first wife, Helen Jane Cain Osborne died in 1997 after 41 years of marriage.
Mr. Osborne was shop foreman for NVF, Inc., Kennett Square, Pa., and retired in 1993 after over 40 years of service. He was a member of Wrightsdale Baptist Church, Peach Bottom, Pa where he had served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. Elwin enjoyed hunting and antiques.
He was born in Peach Bottom, Pa., son of the late James and Amanda Osborne. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 3 daughter’s; Lisa J. Osborne of Christiana, PA, Anita marriage to Dave Hallman of Oxford, PA, Marsha Hanna of Smoketown, Pa., and 4 grandchildren. He was predeceased by 3 brothers; Ray, Glenn, and twin Elmer Osborne.
The Funeral Service will be held at Wrightsdale Baptist Church, 310 Little Britain Road, Peach Bottom on Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Terry Douglas, and Dr. David Pope officiating. Burial will be in the Little Britain Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Wrightsdale Baptist Church on Friday from 10:00-11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125. Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA.

Russell S. Lodge
Russell S. Lodge, 87, of Quarryville, PA went to be with his Lord on September 29, 2005. Born in Greenwich, NJ to Samuel and Addie Lodge, he worked at DuPont as a welder for over thirty years. Russ marriage Betty F. Johnson, also of Greenwich, and they moved to Bridgeton where they raised their two children. While serving in the Army in 1945, Russ was wounded and sent home after a brief stint in Europe. A longtime member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Bridgeton, NJ, Russ served as an elder, Sunday School superintendent, trustee, and member of the building committee. In 1997 he and Betty moved to Quarryville, P A near Lancaster where they resided together at the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community. Russ and Betty became members of the Bethany Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Oxford, P A. Russell is survived by his wife Betty and his two children, Neil and Jane, as well as four grandchildren and one great grandson. Interment is private. A memorial service will be held at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community on October 8, 2005 at 10:30 AM. Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA

Edwin M. Mease
Edwin M. Mease, 74, of 143 Beddington Lane, Strasburg, formerly of South Jersey, died on Monday, February 13, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of Betty K. Durr Mease and they had celebrated 50 years of marriage. Mr. Mease was a Research Technician, for the Mobile Co., Paulsboro, NJ retiring in 1992. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Edwin was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, Lampeter, PA., were he had served as a deacon and usher. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.
He was born in Philadelphia, son of the late Leslie and Eleanor Paul Mease. He is survived by; his wife Betty K. Mease of Strasburg, PA, son David P. marriage to Linda L. Mease of Strasburg, PA, son Edwin M. Jr. marriage to Melissa Mease of Lampeter, PA, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his brother Leslie marriage to Lynn Mease of Thorofare, NJ. The Funeral Service will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. at 2:30 PM on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster PA, 17604.

Douglas K. Palm
Douglas K. Palm, 58, of 85 River Bend Park, Lancaster, Pa., died on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster. He had battled a 3 year illness with cancer. He was the husband of Beverly Groff Palm and they had celebrated 28 years of marriage. Douglas was a machinist for 39 years and had worked for Pfizer in Lititz, PA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his grandchildren.
Douglas was born in Ephrata, son of Hilda Mull Palm of Ephrata and the late Sylvester Palm. In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by; son Michael Palm of Reinholds, daughter LeAnn marriage to Joseph Boose of Denver, PA, 5 grandchildren, 2 nieces, sister Bonnie Palm of Ephrata, and his brother Kirk Palm of Indiana.
A memorial service will be held at Ephrata United Zion Church, 408 East Fulton Street, Ephrata, PA, 17522 on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jay Showalter officiating. The family will greet friends informally immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall. Please join them for a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster PA 17604-4125 or Ephrata United Zion Church.
