Dorcia 'Dot' Kilby Diehl, 75, of Quarryville, died at home on Friday evening after a battle with cancer. Dot was born in Lancaster County, she was the daughter of Della Testerman and Louis Kilby. She was marriage to Donald K. Diehl for more than 50 years. He proceeded her in death in 1998 as did a son Garren in 1965.
Dot was a home maker who supported her husband and family with work, church and school activities. She was the matriarch of the Kilby family and was always surrounded by her family. Her favorite pastimes were fishing, hunting and sewing. Most of the family have something either on their bed or hanging on their wall that was made by Dot.
She is survived by three sons Ronald, (Judy) of Galax, VA., John, (Donna) of Salt Lake City, UT and Kevin, (Debbie) of Lititz and loved her Grand children Jonna, Angie, Meek Ann, Kristie, Amie, Donnie, Mandy and Ryan, plus 13 Great Grand Children.
Thanks to all our family, friends and Heartland Hospice who loved, prayed for and supported Dot during this difficult time. A memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 9th at 7:00 PM at the Rawlinsville Methodist Church, Truce Road Holtwood. Light refreshments will be served after the service. Esther Fry Eckman
Esther Fry Eckman, age 87, of 39 Eckman Lane, Conowingo, Md., died Thursday evening (9 February 2006) at Clavert Manor Nursing Home, Rising Sun, Md. She was the widow of Leo A. Eckman who died February 18, 2001.
Born in Fulton Township, Lancaster County, she was the daughter of the late George Harvey and Attie Steele Fry. A homemaker, she was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Peach Bottom.
Surviving are two sons, Leo Allan, marriage to Joan Eckman Jr. and Robert Eckman, both of Rising Sun, Md.; a daughter, Faye Eckman, with whom she resided; a grandson, Michael, marriage to Jennifer Eckman of Rising Sun; and one great-grandson, Jake Eckman; a brother, George, marriage to Dorothy Fry of Conowingo. Esther was preceded in death by a brother, James Fry and a sister, Helen Benjamin.
Funeral services will be from Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Pilottown Road, Peach Bottom, Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Cheryl J. Zegers officiating. Interment will follow in Little Britain Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Kindly omit flowers. Robin L. Clark
Robin L. Clark, 56, of 31 Marie Drive, Quarryville, PA went to meet her Lord on April 8, 2006. She was the beloved wife of Gary L. Clark. They had celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary.
Robin was born in Norfolk, VA, the daughter of June D. Alexander of Kirkwood, PA and the late Curtis R. Alexander. She graduated from Solanco High School and Millersville University. Robin was a member of Shiloh Community Church, Quarryville. She was an active member of Noah’s Ark Nursery School and was employed at Solanco Video. Robin enjoyed Penn State Football, and spending time with her three grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters; Jocelyn, wife of Christopher Unger of Quarryville, and Ashleigh Clark, a student at Penn State University; sister Sandra, wife of Lesley Fuller of Basye, VA and three grandchildren; Teague, Kate, and Hannah.
Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at St. Paul’s Church, 1 West Fourth Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:00 P.M. Jacqueline J. Cole
Jacqueline J. Cole, 67, known to many as 'Memaw', died on Monday, October 10, 2005. Jackie resided at 2004 Ford Lane in Drumore, PA with her husband and companion of 24 years, Franklin D. Hensley.
She had been employed most recently at Ferguson & Hassler of Quarryville as a cashier. Prior to that she had worked at Burger King and Buck Iron Co. Memaw was a life time member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, going to the mountains and traveling to Florida. Born in Lancaster, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles O. and Elsie P. McClure Booth Sr.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Ronda Eshleman of Quarryville and a son, Kevin Cole, husband of Debra of Drumore; 2 brothers, Roger L. and Charles O. Booth Sr.; 2 sisters, Janet Evans and Rebecca Rineer; 1 granddaughter, Jessica Eshleman. Memaw was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Cole Jr.
Funeral Services will be conducted from the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 1530 Slate Hill Road, Peach Bottom, PA 17563 with Pastor Cheryl Zegers officiating, on Friday, October 14, 2005, at 11:00 A.M. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service on Friday at the church and a viewing on Thursday, October 13, 2005, from 6:00-7:30 P.M. at the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 E. Donna S. Crawford
Donna S. Crawford, 49, of 122 Pond Road, Quarryville, PA, died February 4, 2006 at Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster. Born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Donald S. and Shirley A. Keen Crawford, Donna had served in the U.S. Army from 1977-1984. She had been employed for over 20 years for Amtrak, Harrisburg office, where she was a train inspector and had also served as the Local Union Steward. She was a member of the Lutheran faith. Donna enjoyed the outdoors, where she loved hiking and camping. She was an avid fan of NASCAR, ice hockey, and football. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and her prize possessions, her pets.
She is survived by her sister; Debra L. marriage to William Findley, Jr., brother Gary J. marriage to Hope Crawford, nieces; Heather, marriage to Leon Trager, Jr., Page Brady, nephew; Nolan Crawford and great niece Brooke Trager, all of Quarryville, PA. She is also survived by her friend Jim Alexander of Enola, PA.

Alma Higgins Daniel
Alma Higgins Daniel, age 78, of 108 Kensington Lane, Oxford, P A died Sunday morning at Ware Presbyterian Retirement Home, Oxford, P A. She was born in Mt. Lakes, NJ a daughter of the late Gilbert H. and Margaret Henderson Higgins. After graduation, she marriage Walter J. Schmidt, Jr. and was a homemaker and did volunteer work until his passing in 1959. She later marriage Donald W. Daniel who died in 1992. She and her second husband founded and operated Daniels Liquors, Inc. in White Meadow Lake, NJ.
After retirement she moved to South Carolina then to Delaware before coming to Oxford. She was a member of Episcopal Churches in New Jersey, South Carolina and at last St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Oxford. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at local libraries, was interested in wildlife, nature and loved outdoor activities, she was an avid golfer and also enjoyed bowling. Alma was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and also served on the Grounds and Landscaping Committee at Ware Presbyterian Village. She is survived by a son Peter V. marriage to Laurie death by a step daughter Karen Daniel Miner and two brothers, Gilbert Higgins and Dudley Higgins. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25,2006 at 2:00 PM at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 116 Lancaster Pk., Oxford, P A. Burial will be private at The Greenwood Cemetary in Boonton, NJ.

Ida Louise Davis, 71, of 90 Stuart Run Road, Quarryville, died on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at her home. Louise was the wife of the late Reginald C. Davis who died in 1989. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, country music and dancing and her garden. She was born in Colora, MD, daughter of the late William and Bertha Caldwell Sheets.
