Diana Adams Hall, 86, entered into rest Tuesday evening at Moravian Manor, Lititz.
She will be sorely missed by her daughter Sheri Lubkemann and husband Chris, her three grandchildren, Stephen, Sharon, David and their spouses and her great-granddaughter Sophia.
A quiet family funeral will be held to honor and celebrate her life.

Mount Joy
Beatrice A. "Bea" Stoner, 79, formerly of 121 West Main Street, Mount Joy, died Tuesday September 14, 2004, at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, after a lengthy Illness. She was the wife of the late Harvey R. Stoner who died on August 19, 2004.
A life long resident of Mount Joy, she worked as a cafeteria employee at the former Seiler School in Mount Joy, and retired as cafeteria manager of the Riverview Elementary School in Marietta. Previously she worked for the former Gerberich and Payne Shoe Company of Mount Joy.
Mrs. Stoner was a 58 year member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Mount Joy. She served as a children's Sunday school teacher prior to 1970.
Born July 27, 1925 in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late Perry and Minnie Garber Bates.
She is survived by two children, Sharon K. Stoner Brown, of Hagerstown, MD, and Robert D. marriage to Cynthia Herman Stoner of Mount Joy. 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004 from The Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc., 16 East Main Street, Mount Joy PA at 11 AM with the Reverend Dr. David W. Pierce officiating. Interment in the Henry Eberle Cemetery, Mount Joy. Friends may call at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc., Mount Joy, on Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM and again on Saturday morning from 10 AM until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in memory of "Bea" may be directed to the "Riverview Student Assistance Fund." Memorial contributions should be made out and addressed to Donegal School District, Attention: Laura Davis, Asst. Principal 1179 River Road, Marietta, PA 17547-1628.
Elizabeth B. Ward

Elizabeth B. Ward, 83, of 296 Sun Valley Drive, Leola, died Wednesday at the Essa Flory Hospice Center after a three-month battle with Cancer. She was a 1940 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. She later served as a telephone operator and administrative secretary to the president of the Bearings Company. Retiring in 1957, she became a fulltime housewife and mother. Born in Lancaster, she was preceded in death by 7 brothers and 5 sisters. She was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Bloom.
She was a member of the Park City Twalkers, Barnes Bible Study Group and the Forties Club. She was a Sunday School teacher and choir member at St. Luke s United Church of Christ, Lancaster.
She was well known for her card ministry, faithfully sending birthday cards and holiday cards to family and friends throughout the United States, England and Africa.
Always lending a helping hand to whomever needed it, she was affectionately known as Betsy, Liz or Aunt Nuner.
She was marriage for 56 years to Alfred James Ward.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are a son, Richard C. Ward of Carlisle, three grandchildren, James R., Corrin E., and Bennett A. Ward, all of Carlisle, and a great grandson, Kason A. Ward of Carlisle.
A memorial service will be held Friday, September 24 at 11:00 AM at St. Luke s United Church of Christ, 719 Marietta Ave. Friends will be received at the church from 10:00 until time of service. Interment in the St. John s Episcopal Church, Carlisle at the convenience of the family.

Mary Alice Sturgis, 78, of 2065 Miller Rd., East Petersburg, PA died Wednesday at the Essa Flory Center of Hospice of Lancaster County. Born in Ephrata, PA, she is the wife of Wilbur E. and the daughter of the late Elias and Clara Frankfort Leisey. She graduated from Ephrata High School in 1943 and the former St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She worked at the former St. Joseph Hospital in the Maternity and in the Nursery Units.
She and her husband celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on November 9th. She is a member of the Lancaster Moravian Church. Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters; Cynthia A.,wife of James Lambert; Nancy Jane Sturgis, Elaine Marie Sturgis, Jean Sturgis and Frances A., wife of Keith Sangrey; two sisters; Fern Ammon and Helen Worley; 4 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. Three brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Lancaster Moravian Church, 1460 Eden Road,Lancaster, PA on Saturday, September 18, at 11:00 am with the Rev. Dr. William M. Hosking Jr. officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service. Margaret M. Gerfen, 96, of 2101 Wabank Road, Millersville, PA died on Wednesday evening of natural causes at Essa Flory Hospice Center.
She was a Punch Press Operator at Kerr Glass for 30 years after retiring in 1973.
She loved dogs and was very independent.
Born in Washington, D.C. she was the daughter of the late John and Edith Kline Mackey.
She was marriage to Howard F. Gerfen who died in 1985.
Close friend is Terry Christofic of Lancaster.
She is the last of her immediate family.

Norma Frances Crowl

Norma Frances Crowl, 80, of Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community and formerly of Quarryville died Tuesday evening at the Retirement Community. Frances was an antique dealer in Lancaster and prior to dealing in antiques she was a tax office clerk in Long Island, NY. Also after retiring she ran a Amish taxi service. Frances was a past Deaconess and Elder of the Little Britain Presbyterian Church where she was a member. She was the President of the Drumore Flower Club and also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, Ware Presbyterian Village Auxiliary, Solanco Historical Society and the Fulton Grange. Also she enjoyed helping the Robert Fulton Birth Place, serving as a tour guide.
She was born in Long Island, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Pearl Smith White. Her husband, Dwight Crowl died in 1986. She is survived by a sister, Margaret Brower and nephew, Donald Brower both of Baldwin, NY and also a niece, Marjorie LaDieu of Liverpool, NY.
Services will be on Monday at 11:30 AM from the Little Britain Presbyterian Church with Pastor Michael Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday morning from 10:00 until 11:30. In lieu of flowers, Frances request was for anyone that would like to make a donation could make it to the Little Britain Church Building Fund, 255 Little Britain Church Rd., Peach Bottom, PA 17563. William Verne “Andy” Anderson

William Verne "Andy" Anderson, 74, of 1107 Maple Street. New Providence died at Lancaster General Hospital on Thursday morning of natural causes. He and his wife, Joyce Dickson Anderson celebrated 38 years of marriage. Born in Drumore, he was the son of the late William Ed and Edna Graham Anderson. Early in life he worked on the family farm. He was then employed as a truck driver for Agway for 34 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Wrightsdale Baptist Church, Peach Bottom. Andy was an avid bowler and hunter. He also enjoyed all types of sports.
Surviving beside his wife are a sister in law, Anne Anderson; two nieces, Donna, wife of Samuel Pennington and Dorinda, marriage to William Taylor; 2 great nephews and 1 great niece. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald E. Anderson.
Memorial services will be held from New Providence Baptist Church, 155 Beaver Valley Pike, New Providence, PA 17560 on Monday at 3:00PM. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.
