Edith M. Daye
Edith M. Daye, 89, of 4506 A Ashville Road, Quarryville, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford, PA. She was the wife of the late Lillard E. Daye who died in 1977. Mrs. Daye was a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitch and crocheting. She had been a member of the Friends Sewing Circle. She was also a member of Taylors Valley Brethren Church, VA., and also attended Eastland Friends Meeting. She was born in Taylors Valley, VA., daughter of the late John and Mary Trent Gentry. She is survived by her daughter Joanne Walls marriage to Cecil of Quarryville, PA, her sister Gladys Dennison of Peach Bottom, PA, her brother John Gentry of Damascus, VA, 3 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren 2 step grand children, 4 step great grandchildren, and her daughter-in-law Barb Daye of Quarryville, PA. She was preceded in death by her son Jesse Daye, 4 brothers, and 3 sisters. The Funeral Service will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will be in Eastland Friends Burying Ground. Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home on Monday from 6:30-8:00 PM.

Michael F. DeBerdine, Jr.
Michael F. DeBerdine, Jr., 77, of 110 North Duke Street, Lancaster, Pa, formerly of Quarryville, Pa, died on Monday, September 4, 2006 at his home following a 20 year battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was the husband of Faye Book DeBerdine. They would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on September 29th.
Mike was the former secretary and president of Rhoads Energy Corp., retiring as chairman of the board in 2004. He had been a 50 year employee of the Rhoads Corp. Mike had served as president and director of the Oil Heat Council of Lancaster County and had served on numerous committees with the Pa Petroleum Assoc. He had served his country as a Cpl. in the US Army during the Korean War. Mike was a member of Quarryville American Legion Post 603, and was dedicated and in charge of the flag distribution on veterans’ graves in Southern Lancaster Co. for 50 years. Mike was an avid baseball player, participating in the Southern End Baseball League where he was an outstanding 1st baseman. He is recognized on the Hall of Fame plaque at the Clipper Magazine stadium. Mike was also a member of the Twilight League of the Tanglewood Manor Golf Club. An accomplished vocalist, Mike was well known for his performance of 'O Holy Night' every Christmas Eve at St. Paul’s Church in Quarryville. He and his family enjoyed spending time at their home in Avalon, NJ. Mike was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Lancaster, Pa., and had served as an usher of the church.
He was born in Quarryville, Pa, son of the late Michael and Gladys DeBerdine, Sr. In addition to his wife Faye, he is survived by his daughter; Jennifer, marriage to Tom J. Goldbach of Lancaster, Pa, his son Michael F. III marriage to Debra DeBerdine of Millersville, Pa., grandchildren; Hans Goldbach, Nathan, Brooke, and Emma DeBerdine, and an Aunt; Gladys Shirk of Quarryville.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Rite of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 8, 2006 from the St. James Episcopal Church, 119 North Duke Street, Lancaster, Pa. with Reverend Nathan Baxter officiating. The interment will be in St. Catherine’s of Siena Catholic Cemetery, Quarryville, immediately following the service. There will be no visitation prior to the service. The DeBerdine family will greet friends at a reception immediately following the graveside service at the S.E.C.A. Building, 299 Park Ave., Quarryville. Please omit flowers. Helen Elizabeth Dull
Helen Elizabeth Dull, age 83, of 621 Center Road, Quarryville died Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at her home. She was the widow of Rev. J. Richard Dull, Sr. who died on May 25, 1998. Helen was born in Eden Township, a daughter of the late Willis and Edith Mae Lefever Zander. A homemaker and serving the duties of a pastor’s wife, she was formerly employed at Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community where she worked in the kitchen. Helen was a founder of Wakefield Bible Church, Peach Bottom, PA
She is survived by two sons, David C. marriage to Linda Dull of Peach Bottom, Daniel W. marriage to Debbie Dull of Berea, KY; 6 daughters, Betty J. marriage to Donald Gehron of Peach Bottom, Connie L. marriage to Dr. Roy Wise of Mt. Laurel, NJ, Lynn M. marriage to Larry Wagner of Quarryville, Edith P. Married to Bruce Weaver of Quarryville, Deborah A. marriage to Steven Spangler of Leola, and Rebekah A. marriage to Matthew Haas of Conestoga; 28 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Geraldine marriage to Clayton Shenk of Woodcrest Villa, Lancaster, Dorothy Tout of Quarryville, Elnora marriage to Benjamin Doulin of Willow Street, and Anna Mary marriage to Kim Wagner of Quarryville. Helen was preceded in death by a son, J. Richard Dull, Jr.; a brother, Willis Zander, Jr.; and two sisters, Clara Mae Sheaffer and Miriam Herr.
Funeral services will be held from the Wakefield Bible Church, 2310 Robert Fulton Highway, Peach Bottom on Monday at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in Quarryville Cemetery. Viewings will be held from the church on Sunday from 3:00-5:00PM and from 9:30AM until the time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in Helen’s memory to the Wakefield Bible Church, 2310 Robert Fulton Highway, Peach Bottom, PA 17563. Emma M. Edgell
Emma M. Edgell, 83, of 129 Groffdale Drive, Quarryville, Pa, died on Friday, August 4, 2006 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Emma had been employed by the Totes Factory, Lancaster, as a floor lady in their warehouse and packaging plant. She was a member of New Providence Church of God. Emma was also involved with the Solanco Senior Citizens, Friendship Circle, and the Independent Seniors at S.E.C.A. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Keller Riexinger. She is survived by; her daughter Arlene Bogoslaski of Dallas, TX, son Leo W. Jr., marriage to Sue Tanger Edgell of Quarryville, Pa, son Joseph C. marriage to Vallerie Hall Edgell of Marion, IL, son David J. marriage to Marianne Eisenhower Edgell of Mt. Joy, Pa, son Donald R. marriage to Cindy Edgell of Manheim, PA, son Frank R. and Sandy Edgell of Bausman, Pa, 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and her sister Arlene, marriage to Robert Everhart of Willow Street, Pa. She was predeceased by 2 brothers; Joseph and Earl Riexinger.
The Funeral Service will be held at New Providence Church of God, 269 Cinder Road, New Providence, Pa on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. Friends are invited to a viewing at the Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, Pa on Tuesday from 6-8:00 PM, and also one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the; Solanco Senior Center, 184 South Lime Street, Quarryville, PA 17566.

Eleanor M. Englisch
Eleanor M. Englisch, 79, of 29 Hickory Drive, Quarryville, died on Thursday, August 3, 2006 at Virtua Marlton Hospital, NJ. She was the wife of the late Lt. Col. Henry 'Hank' Englisch, who died in May, 2004.
Mrs. Englisch was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Quarryville, and had served as the secretary of the St. Catherine’s of Siena Women’s Club. She was born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Billington Dickerson. She is survived by her sons; Michael Englisch of Quarryville, Joseph, marriage to Barbara Englisch of Cherry Hill, NJ, Stephen Englisch of Maple Shade, NJ, 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sisters; Dorothy Musey, Elizabeth marriage to William Mack, and brother Joseph marriage to Anne Dickerson. She was predeceased by a brother Charles Dickerson and a sister Carrie Bohn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 955 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, Pa on Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Ronald J. Moratelli, celebrant. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory to the charity of your choice. Reynolds Funeral Home, 144 East State Street, Quarryville, PA.

Chester G. Eshleman
Chester G. Junie Eshleman, age 75 of 318 Arcadia Trace Road, Peach Bottom, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday morning (March 4, 2006) at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the widower of Grace Anna Herr Eshleman who died April 30, 1993. Junie was born in Strasburg Township, a son of the late Chester G. and Elsie Bowman Eshleman, Sr.
He had been employed as a foreman for Buck Iron Company and then as an assistant foreman for High Steel Industries. Junie served in the US Navy during the Korean War as a medic with a rank of HM3. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, Quarryville and the White Oak Hunting Club in Tioga County. He volunteered for the Solanco Meals on Wheels Program and the Robert Fulton Fire Company. Chet was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and trapping. An avid sports fan, he was a big Solanco School District sports fan. He also enjoyed visiting friends and relatives and spending time with his family.
Surviving are 4 children, Kelly L. wife of Neil Howett of Peach Bottom, Keith B. marriage to Martha Shetrompf of Columbia, Linda M. marriage to Clyde Bailey of Quarryville, and Paul W. marriage to Lisa Shetrompf of Delaware; 8 grandchildren, Jordan Howett, Adrienne Howett, Harrison Howett, Jami marriage to Sean Lavery, Kevin marriage to Catherine Shetrompf, Nicole marriage to Jason Romanski, Scott marriage to Lori Bailey and Brad Bailey; 6 great grandchildren, Abigail, Meg, Ella, Ahna, Lukah, and Gavin; a brother, Richard marriage to Sis Eshleman of New Providence; and a sister, Helen marriage to John Kreider of Refton. He was preceded in death by his twin children, Jody and Jon; 4 brothers, Carl, Robert, Art, and Paul; and 4 sisters, Dot, Vern, Arlene, and Carrie. Whether you knew him as Chet, Junie, or Papa he will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held from Memorial United Methodist Church, 109 South Hess Street, Quarryville, PA on Wednesday at 10:00AM with Pastor John Longmire officiating. Interment will follow in Quarryville Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6:30-8:30 PM and on Wednesday form 9:00 -10:00AM, both from the church. Kindly omit flowers. Contributions many be made in Junies memory to a Solanco Sports Booster Club of ones choice. Reynolds Funeral Home, Quarryville, PA serving the family.

Joseph R. Feister
Joseph R. Feister, 43, of 270 Vintage Road, Paradise, died on Saturday at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the husband of Susan L. Kruft Feister. In December they would have celebrated 19 years of marriage. Mr. Feister was a self-employed painter. He was a member of Lancaster Alliance Church, where he served as a trustee.
Born in Paradise, he was the son of W. Ronald and Eileen Shirk Feister. In addition to his wife Susan, he is survived by a daughter Hallie Feister, and a son, Jared Feister, both at home; a brother, Craig Feister, husband of Karen, a sister, LisaVanArsdale, wife of Frank; his father and mother-in-law, David R. and Carol Ann Kruft.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe’s memory may be made to Lancaster Alliance Church, (address below), or to St. Johns United Methodist Church, Box 86, Paradise PA 17562. Viewing and visitation will be held at Lancaster Alliance Church, 210 Pitney Road, Lancaster PA 17601 on Wednesday, November 30 from 12:30-3:00 PM. Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 3:00 P.M. at Lancaster Alliance Church., with Frederick Holler officiating. Burial will be private for the family at St. John's United Methodist Cemetery in Paradise PA. Friends and family are encouraged to share in fellowship and a light super at Lancaster Alliance immediately following the interment, approximately 5:00 P.M.
