Carol A. (Kendig) Wallace, 66, of Lititz, died peacefully at 8:25 PM, Monday, March 1, 2010 at LGH.
She was the wife of Lawrence "Larry" R. Wallace with whom she was marriage 20 years last May 6.
Carol had retired from Swatch Group, Ltd., Lancaster (formerly Hamilton Watch Company).
Born in Lancaster and raised on Cabbage Hill, she was the daughter of the late Theodore G. and Mary Elizabeth (Krushinski) Kendig. Carol enjoyed her Teddy Bear collection, crossword puzzles, reading and her family. She was of the Catholic faith and a 1961 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three children, Kathy A. Lowe-Welch, of Atlanta, GA, Monika B. Lowe, of Rio Rancho, NM, Erik H. Lowe, of Monticello, IN; two stepchildren, Lawrence R. Wallace, II, husband of Jen, of Mount Joy, Linda M. Strubel, wife of Thomas E., of Lititz; eight grandchildren; four siblings, Mary K. Swift, wife of James, of Alta Loma, CA, Deborah J. Axe, wife of James, of Germania, PA, Marilyn L. Singleton, wife of late Robert, of Garden Grove, CA, Margaret "Peggy" Magargal, wife of Rick, of Souderton, PA. She will be missed by her extended family and friends.
A Christian Prayer Service will be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA, 717-872-2266 on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 10 AM with Rev. Joseph C. Hilbert officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview Burial Park, Lancaster, PA. Friends may view at Scheid's on Thursday evening between 7 and 9 PM and also on Friday 9 and 10 AM. Claude J. Mowrer Jr.,46,Army veteran
Claude J. "Ted" Mowrer Jr.,46, of 300 Mowrer Lane, Stockport, Ohio, formerly of Lancaster, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at home.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Claude J.Sr. and Julia Bowers mowrer of Lancaster.
He was marriage 24 years on March 31 to Cathy Sue Stiers Mowrer.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are a son, Claude "Joe" III of Stockport; a sister, Julia A. Houser of Lancaster; and a brother, David O. of Columbia.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel.
A Mass of Christian burial from ST. Joseph's Catholic Church, 440 St. Joseph's Street, Lancaster, PA on Friday at 11:00 AM with Msg. Thomas H. Smith as Celebrant. Raymond Hill,93,cabinetmaker
Raymond Hill, 93, of 211 Willow Valley Square, died Monday at essay Flory Hospice Center after a brief illness.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William E. and Anna Sloss Hill.
His wife, Evelyn B. Hill, died in 1997.
Surviving are two daughters, Catharine H., marriage to F. Perry Love of Lancaster, and Susan H., marriage to John M. Makara of Havertown; three grandchildren; and a sister, Anna H. Wosiski of Cinnaminson,N.J.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ellis Q. and Gordon.
A memorial service will be held at the C. Jack Orr Auditorium at Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA on Wednesday, October 8,2003 at 1PM with the Rev. Dr. Randolph T. Riggs officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the Memorial Service.
Charles T. Starling, Armstrong Retiree
Charles T. Starling,76, of 2253 Seitz Dr., died of natural causes Tuesday, at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Autreyville, N.C., he was the son of the late Gaston and Fannie Starling.
He was marriage 56 years to Mary Jane Ritchey Starling.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Suzanne S. Long of Lancaster and Virginia S., marriage to John Myers of Ashland, VA; a grandchild; two brothers, Bailey of Autreyville, NC and David of Farmville, NC; and four sisters, Claire Starling of Greeley, Co., Geraldine Kistler of Autreyville, NC, Ruth Melvin of Rocky Mount, NC; Alice marriage to Jake Plummer of Concord, NC. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jesse, Archie and James.
The funeral will be held at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St. Lancaster, PA on Friday, at 2:30 PM with Daniel G. Leaman officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday, from 1:30 Pm until time of service.
Jacob Reapsome, 86, founded dance club
Jacob J. Reapsome, 86, of 3001 Lititz Pike, died Tuesday at Brethren Village.
Born in Maytown, he was the son of the late Benjamin F. and Nettie Morrison Reapsome.
His wife, Bertha Neff Reapsome, died in 1995
Surviving are two daughters, Iris R., marriage to James V. Frey of Annapolis, Md., and Beth R., marriage to Roger Carlton of Miami; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Kauffmann of Allentown and Helen Kauffman of Lancaster.
The memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster, Pa, on Saturday at 1:30PM with the Rev. J. Calvin Wenger officiating. Interment will be Private. The family will meet will relatives and friends following the memorial service.

LeRoy M. "Bud' Campbell, 82, formerly of Lancaster, died Tuesday evening at Cornwall Manor, Cornwall, of cancer.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Roy and Elizabeth Neiman Campbell.
He was marriage 59 years on June 26 to Marion rotunda Campbell.
surviving in addition to his wife are son, Gene C., marriage to Cynthia Campbell of Lancaster; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Spicer of Millersville.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jack R.
The memorial service will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church, corner of Queen and James Streets, Lancaster, Pa. on Saturday at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Stephen P. Verkouw and the Rev. William Cluely officiating. Interment in Riverview Burial Park on Saturday at 1PM. The Family will meet with relatives and friends following the Memorial Service.

Edith Breen, 90, of 1828 Beverly Drive, died Tuesday at Brethren Village after an illness of several weeks.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Elias wise and Dora Tillbrook Parmer.
She was marriage 63 years on April 8 to William E. Breen
Surviving in addition to her husband are three daughters, Barbara M., marriage to Paul Nichols, and Cynthia J., marriage to Mark Vogel, both of Lancaster, and Sally J., marriage to Robert Vincent of Quarryville; and a grandson.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Palmer and Raymond Parmer; and three sisters, Kathryn Mattern, Dorothy Parmer and Miriam Beltz.

Paul Ray Arms, 81, of 300 willow Valley Lakes Drive, Willow Street, died Saturday at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Delta, Iowa, he was the son of the late Russell J. and Ada M. Wallace Arms.
He was marriage 62 years to Helen A. Lacour Arms.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Ronald P., marriage to Julie Arms of Alexandria, Va., and Randall R., marriage to Romy Arms of Iquique; a daughter, Judy E., marriage to Kenel Antoine of Syracuse, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Opal Ettl of Pasadena, Calif.
A Funeral will be held at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home on Friday at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Dr. Kent E. Kroehler officiating. Interment will be Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear Delaware. Friends may call at he funeral home on Friday from 9:30 Am until the time of service.
