Warren H. "Blicky" Beamesderfer
Warren H. "Blicky" Beamesderfer, 85, of Denver and formerly of Adamstown, died unexpectadly Monday at home.
Born in Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Harry and Gertrude (Wolf) Beamesderfer. Warren and his wife Elva C. (Sweigart) celebrated their 63rd anniversary on August 16. Also surviving are their children; Sally A. (Melvin W.) Williams of Lancaster, W. James (Elisabeth Jones) of Hartly, DE, Thomas L. (Sue E. Himmelberger) of Denver, Craig A. (Ann R. Hartman) of Akron, Donald E. of Shillington, Gary S. (Denise Reinhold) of Ephrata, Tracy L. (Paul F.) Miller and Michael T. (Sheri R. Leid) both of Denver; 19 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Jean) of Liverpool and Lloyd of Lancaster; sisters, Sara Fetter of Richland and Christine Matthew of Newmanstown. Warren was preceded in death by grandchildren Melissa F. Beamesderfer and Scott P. Miller, 11 brothers and sisters.
A graduate of the former Schaefferstown High School, 1937, Blicky was a self-employed brick layer, a member of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, Swartzville where he was a former member of Church Coucil, and former Secretary-Treasurer of the Sunday School program. He was active in the former Boy Scout Troop #116, formerly played baseball and softball and played dart ball for the church. An avid outdoorsman, Warren enjoyed hunting, fishing,and spending time in Union County with his sons and grandsons. He like bird watching, and on Sunday revived an injured Woodpecker that had flown into his patio door. He was a member of the Northern Lancaster County Sportsman's Club, Cloister Post #429 American Legion, Ephrata, and the Brendle-Coleman Post #8795 VFW, Adamstown. A veteran of WW II, he was an Aviation Cadet in the Army Air Corps. A cancer survivor, Warren participated each year in the Cocalico Area Relay For Life. Although legally blind, he attended classes at the Lebanon VA Hospital to cope with his lack of sight and to become self sufficient. Warren made hundreds of beaded snowmen, trees, angels and candleholders that were ordered by people all over the country. Warren was an example to his children and acquaintances both in life and athletics.
Viewing Thursday, 2:00-3:00pm and the Celebration of Warren's Life at 3:00pm in Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11 S. Muddy Creek Church Rd., Denver with Reverend Kirk Marks officiating. Jonathan H. Boyer
Jonathan H. Boyer, 83, of Ephrata Manor, formerly of Stevens, died Sunday at the home.
Born in Reinholds, he was a son of the late Riley and Eva (Hartman) Boyer. Jonathan and his wife Bernice I. (Steffy) celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on November 16. Also surviving are his daughters; Barbara F. wife of Paul E. Brubaker Jr. of Ephrata, and Constance M. Boyer at home; 2 granddaughters, Angela Minnich and Amanda Brubaker; sisters, Lydia Hagy of Bernville, and Edith Stafford of Morris. Jonathan was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.
A Custodian with the Cocalico School District, retiring in 1983, Jonathan was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Reamstown, Cocalico Valley Post # 3376 VFW, Ephrata, and the Cocalico Sportsman's Club. A veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Army, Jonathan loved hunting, fishing and bowling.

Mamie F. Weber
Mamie F. Weber, 87, of Denver, died Wednesday evening at home.
Born in Ephrata Twp., she was a daughter of the late William and Cora (Flickinger) Zimmerman. Her husband Jacob A. Weber died August 5, 2001. Surviving are her children; Mary Jane wife of Lee Haines of Ephrata, Stella wife of Clarence Redcay of Denver, Grace wife of Harvey Sauder of New Holland, Mabel wife of Daryl Shupp of Denver, Allen and Carl husband of Mary both of Harrisonburg, VA; 19 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; brother, William Zimmerman of New Holland.
Mamie was a member of Hahnstown United Zion Church.

Adam W. Burd
Adam W. Burd, 83, of Denver, died Thursday morning in Ephrata Community Hospital.
Born in Reinholds, he was a son of the late Henry A. and Emma (Hartman) Burd.
He and his wife Annabelle (Wagner) celebrated their 54th anniversary on July 4.
Surviving are their children; Roy W. husband of Sandy of Reamstown, Kathleen A. wife of Darrell Marks of Stevens, and Adam W. Jr. husband of Tammy of Schoeneck; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Adam was preceded in death by 4 sisters.
A plasterer and drywaller, Adam worked at Flying Hills retiring in 1986.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Denver, and a Life Member of Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed birdwathching, woodcarving and fishing.
A Veteran of World War II, Adam served in the United States Army, receiving 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.

Paul L. Hess Sr.
Paul L. Hess Sr., 79 of Ephrata died suddenly Sunday evening February 27, 2005.
He was marriage to A. Elizabeth (Hess). They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on October 21, 2004. In addition to his wife he is survived by children, Paul L. Jr. of Denver, marriage to Beverly (Horning), James R. of Longmont, CO, marriage to Linda (Hassler), Stanley W. of St. Peters, marriage to Mary (Zook), Barbara A. of Lyndonville, VT, marriage to Timothy Hash and Henry R. Hess of Ephrata. He was preceded in death by his son Floyd N. and his wife Kimberly (Spurigo) Hess. Paul has 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, sisters Edna Zimmerman, Esther marriage to Kenneth Sensenig, Mildred marriage to James Hoffman and Ruth marriage to Sonny Weaver.
Paul was born in Stevens, PA to the late Elis S. and Macy (Longenecker) Hess. A devoted husband and father he enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing and working in his yard. He loved growing roses to share with others.
Paul was a lifelong "Eggman" enjoying a lifetime of work within the Poultry Industry. Along with his father Eli and brother Earl began Hess Brothers Eggs of Ephrata. He also was co-owner of the Plain and Fancy Egg Ranch of Elizabethtown, and the Hi-N-Lite Egg Farms of Tamaqua. He was a member of the Ephrata Mennonite Church.
Services arranged by the Roseboro Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St. Denver. Viewing Thursday 5-9pm at Roseboro's and Friday 10am at the Ephrata Mennonite Church, 510 Stevens Rd. Ephrata, Funeral service will follow at 11am.

Daniel W. Cormier
Daniel W. Cormier, 62, of Denver, died Monday afternoon in Ephrata Community Hospital.
Born in Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Albert and Helen Montana (Sample) Cormier. Dan and his wife Kimberly D. (Snyder) celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary on July 10. Also surviving are his children; Mark of Williamsport, Jennifer wife of Peter Lochetta of Doylestown, and Amy J. wife of Michael Mattos of Denver; grandchildren, Madeline Mattos, Christopher and James Lochetta, and Colby Cormier.
Dan attended Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reinholds, and enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with his family.

Raymond E. Nolt
Raymond E. Nolt, 89, formerly of Stevens, died Tuesday afternoon in the Denver Nursing Home.
Born in Clay Township, he was a son of the late David E. and Ada (Widmyer) Nolt.
Raymond's wife Hazel I. (Martin) died December 30, 1994. Surviving is a son, Donald L. husband of Donna Lee (Flynn) Nolt of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren, Gayle Cherry, William and Todd Nolt; 4 great grandchildren; niece, Arlene Nolt of Denver.
A Supervisor at F&M Hat Company of Denver, Ray was a member of Bergstrasse Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ephrata, Ephrata Lodge #665 F.&A.M., a lifetime member of Lincoln Fire Company, and the Friendly Circle of Ephrata. Ray enjoyed fishing.
