Leah M. Balmer, 74, of 960 Daniel Dr. Stevens, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning.
Born in Brecknock Township, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Ada (Sweigart) Musser. Leah and her husband Glenn E. would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on March 16th. Also surviving are their children; Gary L. at home, Linda K. wife of Quin Jones of Sinking Spring, Deborah J. wife of Donald Meckley of Reamstown, and Russell L. husband of Kathy of Lititz; 2 grandchildren; brothers, William Musser of Adamstown, Martin husband of Helen Musser of Denver, and Henry husband of Bonnie Musser of Stevens; sisters, Shirley wife of Leon Lausch of Ephrata, and Betty wife of Dan Stoyer of Denver. Leah was predeceased by a brother Emerson Musser.
Last employed by the former Colonial Lodge of Denver, she was a member of Holiness Christian Church, Denver. Leah enjoyed baking and spending time with her family.
Viewing Tuesday 7-8:30pm, Funeral Wednesday 10:00am, in the Roseboro Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver with Reverend Kermit Fidler officiating. Interment in Memory Gardens, Ephrata. Howard S. Sweigart
Howard S. Sweigart, 83, of 105 Willow Street, Adamstown, Lancaster County, PA, died Friday morning at 2:04 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital where he was a patient one day. Born in Adamstown, he was a son of the late John and Carrie (Snyder) Sweigart. His wife, Elbina B. “Ellie” (Lorah) Sweigart, died July 16, 1980. He was employed as a baker for 30 years by Bordens, Inc., Mohnton, Berks County, retiring in 1985. Sweigart was an Army Sergeant during World War II and was a member of the Adamstown VFW. Howard had raised beagles for many years and was a life member of the Pocono Beagle Club. Surviving is a daughter, Barbara A. (Sweigart), marriage to George W. Haynes, Stevens, PA; 2 sons, Jay H. Sweigart, Shillington, PA; and Barry L., marriage to Cynthia (Levandowski) Sweigart, West Lawn, PA; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Catherine (Sweigart) Kochel, Adamstown, PA. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Floyd and Earl Sweigart.
A viewing will be held on Monday, June 21, 2004, from Noon to 1:00 PM from our parlors. The service celebrating Howard's life will begin at 1:00 PM with The Reverend William E. Hoch officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown, Lancaster County, PA.
Margaret B. "Peg" Price
Margaret B. "Peg" Price, 86, of 33 Green Acres, Akron, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, January 1, 2003, at 11:35 AM in the Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Born in Chester, PA, she was a daughter of the late Frank V. and Marguerite B. (Mushler) Bibby. Her husband, Richard A. Price, died in 1980. She was of the protestant faith. Peg was a 1937 graduate of Temple University School of Nursing, Philadelphia, and completed her graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania in 1957. She was a member of the alumni association of both institutions. She was a registered nurse serving private duty and a psychiatric social worker with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Welfare for many years. Mrs. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Adams & Ramona Avenues, Philadelphia, where a graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM.

Maggie Adair
Maggie Adair, 80, of 36 Saint Adrew Court, Lititz, Lancaster County, formerly of Reamstown, Lancaster County, died Wednesday, December 29, at 9:02 PM in Luther Acres. She resided in the retirement community since December 1984. Born Dec. 17, 1924, in Fivepointville, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Emerick and Ellen (Kessler) Zerbe, and was the wife of Kenneth C. Adair, Sr., for 61 years on June 12. Maggie was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, Swartzville. She had been employed many years ago by Walter W. Moyer, Inc., Ephrata. Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Carol Ann Adair, Hummelstown, PA ; 2 sons, Kenneth C., Jr., husband of Debra (Royer) Adair, Melbourne, FL ; and Gregory D., husband of Patricia (Shober) Adair, Reinholds, PA ; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Z. (Zerbe) Huber, Adamstown, PA ; and Ellen N. (Zerbe) Kern, Mohnton, PA.
A viewing will be held on Monday afternoon, January 3, 2005, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM from our parlors with the service beginning at 2:00 PM. Her pastor, The Reverend Joyce A. Seip will officiate.
Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Akron, Lancaster County, PA.
Beulah E. Adair
Beulah E. Adair, 86, formerly of Stevens, Lancaster County, died Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at 5:38 PM in Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron, Lancaster County, where she resided the past 6 months. Born February 22, 1919, in Denver, Lancaster County, PA, she was a daughter of the late George T. and Lillian (Lutz) Messinger. Her husband, Harry G. Adair, died October 20, 1980. A member of Mohler Church of the Brethren, Ephrata, she was a licensed practical nurse for over 25 years. She was employed over the years by Parkside Manor, Stevens; Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron ; The Hassler Home, Shillington; The Wetzler Home, Blue Ball; and Denver Nursing Home, Stevens. Surviving are 5 sons, George A. Miller, Denver, PA; John Ray Miller, Mohnton, PA; ElRoy M. Dietrich, Lebanon, PA; Mark N. Dietrich, Jr., Reamstown, PA; and Eugene N. Dietrich, Jackson, NJ; 2 step-daughters, Julia Hartranft, Lititz, PA; and Nancy J. Gilbach, Roseville, CA; numerous grand, great-grand and great-great -grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Monday, January 30, 2006, from 9:30-10 AM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2006, at 10:00 AM from our parlors with Pastor Phil Reynolds officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Denver.

Anna F. Adams
Anna F. Adams, age 91, formerly of West Wyomissing, Berks County, died Tuesday, August 9, 2005, at 10:20 AM in LutherCare, Lititz. She had resided at Luther Acres since 1987. Born April 11, 1914, in Knauers, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Walter E. and Frances (Zinn) Fitterling. Her husband, Harry A. Adams, died in 1953. Anna was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Swartzville, and the ladies auxiliary of both Lititz VFW and Adamstown VFW, where she had served as chaplain. She was employed many years ago at Hope Hosiery, Adamstown, and had last worked as a seamstress for Betty’s Bridal of Robesonia. Surviving is a son, James A., husband of Robin (Heffner) Adams, Reinholds, PA ; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard S., husband of Leonora (Kegerise) Fitterling, Adamstown, PA. She was preceded in death by an infant son, John, a son Frederick, a great-grandchild, and a brother, Pierce.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 10 AM from the Chapel of Luther Acres, 600 East Main Street, Lititz, PA 17543, with her pastor, The Rev. William E. Hoch, officiating. Inurnment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Adamstown, PA.

Kathryn A. Legge
Kathryn A. Legge, 74, of 75 Rose Drive, Reinholds, Lancaster County, formerly of Hazleton, PA, and Lindenhurst, NY, died in her residence Friday morning at 11:00 AM under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County. Born in Queens, New York, she was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Haewecker) Dittrich. Her husband, Marvin H. Legge, died March 14, 1997. She was a member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Ephrata, Lancaster County, and a former member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Lindenhurst, NY. She belonged to the Christian Mothers. She was a 1946 graduate of Bishop McDonnell High School in Queens, New York. Kathryn was a tax adjustor with the Internal Revenue Service in Lindenhurst and had been employed later by Diesroth’s Department Store and Caldwell Supply Company, both of Hazleton. She was an avid bowler and golfer and loved shopping. Surviving is a daughter, Susan M., marriage to Ronald R. Grant, Reinholds, PA; 5 sons, Stephen M., marriage to Michele (Tarantino) Legge, Toms River, NJ; Robert H., marriage to Anita (Ottiaviani) Legge, Mountain Top, PA; Matthew J., marriage to Joan (Kopachy) Legge, Freeland, PA; Christopher J., marriage to Kathleen (Vassalo) Legge, Palm Harbor, FL; and Kenneth W., marriage to Diane (Colamussi) Legge, Lake Grove, NY; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Dittrich, Dallas, TX. Two grandchildren, Gina Legge and Jarred Borst, preceded her in death.
Kathryn's viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from our funeral parlor with recitation of prayers at 7:30 PM. Friends may also call at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Church & Pine Streets, Ephrata, on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Private inurnment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
