Anna M. Althouse
Anna M. Althouse, 79, of 1802 North Reading Road, Stevens, Lancaster County, died Tuesday morning at 8:30 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital, Ephrata, Lancaster County, where she was a patient since November 5th. Born in Mifflin County, she was the widow of Richard W. Althouse, Sr., who died August 3, 1990. Anna was a member of Stevens United Zion Church, Stevens, Lancaster County . A visiting nurse earlier in her life, she was employed for the past 20 years as resident manager of Locker Room Mini-Storage, Reamstown, Lancaster County . Surviving is a son, Richard W. Althouse, Jr., Florida ; and a granddaughter, Lucianne.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Anna will be held from our parlor on Friday afternoon, November 19, 2004, at 2:00 PM with her pastor, The Reverend LaMar L. Zimmerman, officiating.
Private inurnment will take place in Hahnstown Cemetery, Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, PA.

Lorraine A. Anderson
Lorraine A. Anderson, 76, of 754 Mohn’s Hill Road, Sinking Spring, Spring Township, Berks County, died in her residence Sunday afternoon of natural causes. Born in Spring Township, Berks County, she was a daughter of Annie C. (Texter) Moyer, a resident of Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron, and the late Howard C. Moyer. Her husband, George M. Anderson, died July 21, 1973. She was a member of Mohns Memorial Evangelical Congregational Church, Spring Township. Retiring in 1988, she was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for Moyer’s Stationery and Book Mart, Reading. She was a 1944 Graduate of Wilson High School and had graduated from business school. Lorraine was a member of the Bowmansville Senior Citizens Group, enjoyed all types of needlework and was an avid reader. Surviving in addition to her mother are two daughters, Beverly L. (Anderson), marriage to Stephen M. Dobbs, Sinking Spring, PA; and Georgia L., marriage to Dennis L. Kerschner, Akron, PA; 2 grandchildren; and a brother, Howard E., marriage to Claire E. (McFadden) Moyer, Stevens, PA. She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl A. Moyer, in 1998.
Lorraine's viewing and funeral will both be held from her church, Mohn's Memorial Evangelical Congregational Church, 780 Mohn's Hill Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. The viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2002, with the funeral ceremony beginning at 11:00 AM. Her pastor, The Reverend Barry E. Rebert, will officiate with Fern Welker as organist.
Lorraine will be buried across the street in Mohn's Memorial Cemetery following the service.
The family has requested that flowers not be sent, however, you may remember her with contributions to the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Avenue, Reading, PA 19605.

Lillian M. Althouse
Lillian M. Althouse, 86, of 116 Center Avenue, Terre Hill, Lancaster County, died in her residence Monday morning at 3:00 AM under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County following a 6 month illness. Born in Adamstown, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Albert and E. Susan Brendle. Her husband, Harry E. Althouse died in 1977. She was a member of St. John’s (Center) Evangelical Lutheran Church, East Earl, Lancaster County. Mrs. Althouse had co-owned and operated with her late husband Ye Village Restaurant, the Terre Hill Hotel and the Terre Hill Snack Bar from 1947 to 1977. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. Surviving are 2 sons, Robert G. Witmer, Terre Hill, with whom she resided; and Harry M. Althouse, Berwyn, PA; and 5 grandchildren. A sister, Anna E. Matz Witwer, preceded her in death.
Lillian's viewing will be held from our parlor on Thursday, January 3, 2002, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Her pastor, The Reverend Vicky G. Schaffner, will officiate. Burial will follow in Allegheny Union Cemetery, Alleghenyville, Berks County, PA.
The family requests that flowers not be sent, however you are asked to remember Lillian with contributions to Hospice of Lancaster County, Post Office Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.

Gonsalves, Tamsin, L.
Tamsin L. Gonsalves, 21, of 10 Western Avenue, Temple, entered into rest on Thursday, July 6, 2006 at home.
Born in West Reading, she is a daughter of Ricky P. and Lisa A. (Dierolf) Gonsalves, Temple.
Tamsin just completed her Junior year at Kutztown University, where she was majoring in History and was a member of the History Club. She was employed in the Service Department of Mente Chevrolet, Kutztown, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kutztown, was a graduate of Oley Valley High School, 2003, and enjoyed studying Civil War history.
Surviving in addition to her parents are a sister, Tai E., wife of Ian P. Buser, Temple; a half-sister, Amy M., Reading; a maternal grandmother, E. Louise (Stafford) Seidel, Carson City, Nevada; aunts, Barbara, Kathy, Linda, Cheryl, Stacey, Dorothy, Susan and Karen; and uncles, Donald, Terry, Ray Jr., Eric, Melvin and Arthur.
The Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, July 12 at 11:00 AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 357 West Main Street, Kutztown, with Reverend Keith Rhorbach officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Tamsin's memory to the Oley Valley Community Education Foundation, PO Box 331, Oley, PA 19547.

Carl R. Ansel
Carl R. Ansel, 74, of 20 Rock Road, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at 6:30 PM in the VA Medical Center, Lebanon. Born March 27, 1931, in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Harry G. and Edna (Sweigart) Ansel, and the husband of Dorothy J. (Messner) Ansel, at home, for 52 years. A graduate of East Cocalico High School, Reamstown, he was employed for many years by the Ephrata Area School District in the custodial department. Ansel was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 sons, Rick L. Ansel, Adamstown, PA ; Michael H., husband of Jane (Gehman) Ansel, Denver, PA; and Scott W., husband of Donna (Brobst) Ansel, Myerstown, PA; 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Eric, Joshua, Mark, Wendy, Stephanie and Julia; 2 great-grandchildren, Westley and Isabella; a sister, Marguerite, wife of Lavern R. Mohn, Akron, PA; and 4 brothers, Donald Ansel, Stevens, PA; Clair, husband of Allegra Ansel, Terre Hill, PA; Kenneth, husband of Arlene Ansel, Stevens, PA; and Marvin, husband of Florence Ansel, Ephrata, PA. A brother, Vincent Ansel, preceded him in death.
Private memorial services will be held by the family. Private inurnment in Fairview Cemetery Annex, West Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, PA.

Vincent M. Apuzzo
Vincent M. Apuzzo, 57, formerly of Ephrata, Lancaster County, PA, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at 5:15 PM in the VA Medical Center, South Lebanon Township, Lebanon County, PA. Born May 30, 1948, in Brooklyn, NY, a son of the late Vincent Mario and Marian (Fischetti) Apuzzo, he was a maintenance worker for the New Jersey Parks Department for many years. He is survived by a sister, Christine Apuzzo, New York, NY.
A graveside service with military honors will be held from Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Lebanon County, PA, on Friday, March 31, 2006, at 1:30 PM with The Reverend Robert W. Smock officiating.

Leon W. Artz
Leon W. “Wimpy” Artz, 84, of 106 Raybill Drive, Bowmansville, Lancaster County, died in his home Wednesday morning at 12:10 AM under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County following a lengthy illness. Born in Bowmansville, he was a son of the late Walter G. and Mary M. (Bowman) Artz, and was the husband of Violet G. (Sweigart) Artz, for 63 years on June 11, 2001. He was a member of Pine Grove Mennonite Church, Bowmansville. Artz retired in 1982 after 45 years with Bollman Hat Company, Adamstown, where he last served as supervisor. He was also a route salesman and deliveryman of the Reading Times Newspaper for 37 years, retiring in 1998 after building his client list to over 400 customers in the Southern Berks Region. “Wimpy”, a name given him in childhood for his love of hamburgers and the association with the popular cartoon character, was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Adamstown and Reinholds VFW and was an avid baseball fan, especially following the Philadelphia Phillies. He had been a pitcher for the Detroit Tigers Farm Team and other local teams many years ago. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Patricia A. Artz, Bowmansville. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald LaMar Artz, in 1960, and a sister, Florence Sensenig.
Leon's viewing will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2001, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in our parlor. The casket will also be open prior to the services at the church on Monday.
The funeral will be held on Monday, December 10, 2001, at 10:00 AM in Pine Grove Mennonite Church, 1194 Reading Road, Bowmansville, PA 17507, with his pastor, The Reverend Jonathan E. Yoder, officiating.
Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring, Berks County, PA.
If desired, contributions in Leon's memory may be sent to his church at the above address or to Hospice of Lancaster County, Post Office Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
