James F. “Bear” Costello, 55, of 44 South King Street, Stevens, Lancaster County, died Tuesday morning at 10:45 AM in the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, South Lebanon Township, Lebanon County, where he was a patient one day. His death followed a 2 year illness. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Mabel M. (Chambers) Costello, and was the husband of Nobuko (Yohena) Costello for the past 28 years. He was a Marine Corps Corporal in the Vietnam War and was of the catholic faith. Costello last worked as a quality control inspector for Kalas Manufacturing, Inc., Denver, PA, where he worked for 10 years. He was a 1964 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School, president of the Vietnam Motorcycle Club Chapter X, member of VFW Post 1690 of Lancaster, member of Ephrata AmVets Post 136 of Ephrata, and avid Harley Davidson fan and loved and had many body tattoos. Surviving in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Jane M. Costello, at home; 2 sons, Michael D., marriage to Kimberly (Martin) Costello; and William E., marriage to Beverly (Anderson) Costello, both of Lancaster; 4 grandchildren; and a brother, Donald, marriage to Shelda Fay (Bitner) Costello, Lancaster. A son, Donald J. Costello, died in 1992.
James' memorial service will be held from our parlor on Saturday, February 2, 2002, at 12:00 Noon with Chaplain Dennis Young officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the service time. There will be no viewing.

Marjorie Turney Chenet
Nov. 3, 1916 - Sept. 29, 2001
Marjorie T. Chenet, 84, of 64 Muddy Creek Church Road, Denver, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, formerly of New Jersey, died Saturday evening at 10:20 PM in Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron, PA, where she resided since August 2nd. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was a daughter of the late Walter B. and Helen (Fiske) Turney. Her husband, Paul J. Chenet, died in 1980. Mrs. Chenet was a past recording secretary for the Somerset Republican Party, Somerset, NJ, and was active in the The Meadows Historical Society also of Somerset, NJ. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She is survived by a son, Paul J. Chenet, Jr., Hamilton, NJ; a daughter, Kathleen C., marriage to Michael A. Fink, Reinholds, PA; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-granchildren. A sister, Julia Larson, preceded her in death.

Marjorie's memorial ceremony will be held SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2001, at 2:00 PM, from Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church, 275 Swamp Church Road, Reinholds, PA, with The Rev. Dennis L. Trout officiating. There will be no viewing. The family requests that flowers not be sent, however, you may remember her with contributions to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
Mrs. Chenet's cremains will be interred with privately by the family in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, New Jersey.
Chad D. Crawford
February 19, 1971 - April 24, 2006
Chad D. Crawford, 35, of 350 Pineview Drive, Denver, Lancaster County, died Monday, April 24, 2006, in his residence surrounded by family, friends and his fiancée, Tonya S. Leonard, with whom he resided, following a courageous battle with colon cancer. Born February 19, 1971, in Ephrata, Lancaster County, he was a son of Stanley “Jake” and Thelma J. (Irvin) Crawford, Denver. Chad was a foreman with Woodland Concrete, Brownstown, Lancaster County, where he worked for 17 years. He enjoyed restoring hot rods and woodworking. Surviving in addition to his fiancée and parents is a sister, Kristi L., wife of Timothy L. Martin, New Holland, PA, and a beloved niece, Katelyn Elizabeth Martin.
Services will be held on Friday, April 28, at 2:00 PM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc. of Reamstown, with Rev. Daniel W. Shahan officiating. Burial in Zeltenreich Cemetery, Earl Township, Lancaster County, PA. A viewing will be held on Friday from Noon to 2:00 PM.
Stanley Cybulski
Nov. 3, 1955 - July 31, 2001
Stanley Cybulski, 45, of 65 Village Spring Lane, Reinholds, Lancaster County, PA, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon in the emergency room of Ephrata Community Hospital after being transported from his residence. He was the husband of Catherine P. "Cathy" (Hanafin) Cybulski for the almost 20 years. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of Mildred (Zimmerman) Cybulski, Lindenhurst, NY, and the late Charles Cybulski. He attended Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Ephrata. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are a sister, Mildred Cybulski, Lindenhurst, NY; and a brother, Charles Cybulski, New York State. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas.
A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 4, 2001, at 10:00 AM from Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Church & Pine Streets, Ephrata, PA. Final commendation and farewell in the Our Mother of Perpetual Help Section of Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata.
Viewings will be held from our parlor on Thursday and Friday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 PM with a prayer service on Friday at 8:00 PM.
The casket will be open briefly on Saturday at the church immediately prior to the mass.
Hazel B. Dagen
February 21, 1914 - August 26, 2005
Hazel B. Dagen, age 91, formerly of Ephrata and Millersville, died Friday morning at 8:00 AM in Ephrata Manor, where she had been a resident since February 8, 2002. Born February 21, 1914, in Lancaster, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Ida (Lafferty) Bomberger. Her husband, Morgan D. Dagen, died July 4, 1958. Hazel was employed for over 20 years as a manager and sales clerk with Sears, Roebuck and Co., Park City, Lancaster. She was an active member of the Lincoln Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, Ephrata, especially assisting in cooking. A member of the Friendly Circle of Lincoln, Ephrata, she enjoyed bingo, crocheting, bowling, reading and playing cards, mostly pinochle and Rummy. In earlier years she enjoyed flying with her husband as pilot. Surviving is a daughter, Patricia E. Dagen, Ephrata. She was the last of her family.
A viewing will be held at our funeral home on Tuesday, August 30, 2005, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
Funeral ceremonies celebrating the life of Hazel will be held from our parlors on Tuesday, August 30, 2005, at 10:00 AM with The Reverend Jeffrey Pretz officiating.
Burial will follow in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA.

Robert G. Davis, 71, of 152 Boulder Hill Road, Mohnton, died Thursday, January 19, 2006, at 11:45 AM in St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Reading, where he was a patient 8 weeks. Born June 26, 1934, in Reading, Berks County, he was a son of the late Clair George and Myrle M. (Miller) Davis, and was the husband of Patsy A. (Schroeder) Davis for 44 years. He regularly attended Pine Grove Mennonite Church, Bowmansville, and retired after 37 years with UGI Utilities, Inc., Reading. An army veteran of the Korean War, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and model train collecting. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Sheryl L. ( Davis ), wife of Woodrow M. Twiford, Shillington, PA; and Beryl A. (Davis), wife of Robert C. Grasser, Reinholds, PA; 2 grandsons, Joshua & Jacob Grasser; a sister, Nancy (Davis) Clifford, Reading, PA; and a brother, Ronald A., husband of Brenda Davis, Mohnton, PA.
A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34-38 North Reamstown Road, Reamstown, PA 17567-0094 and at the church Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from Pine Grove Mennonite Church, 1194 Reading Road, Bowmansville, PA 17507. with his pastor, The Reverend Jonathan E. Yoder, officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining Cemetery.
William "Bill" Hopkins

William "Bill" Hopkins, age 83, of 275 South Eighth Street, Columbia, PA, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center after a lengthy illness. He was marriage to Nina Lockard Hopkins who died in April of this year. Born in Hopkins Mill, Drumore Township, PA he was the son of the late William and Margaret Moore Hopkins. He was the Owner/Operator of Hopkins Bros. Sawdust and Shaving, Lititz, PA. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Wilkins Flat Hunting Camp, Tioga County, PA. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and taking long drives.
A daughter survives him: Sandi wife of Terry L. Crumbling of Columbia, PA, a sister Jayne Royer of Schwenksville, PA, a brother James Hopkins of Hamburg, PA, 2 grandchildren: Jason Crumbling of York, PA; Stacie Crumbling of Philadelphia, PA, and a great granddaughter Emily Crumbling of York, PA.
Memorial Services from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut Street, Columbia, PA on Wednesday at 3 PM with the Reverend Kenneth F. Lawrence officiating. Private Interment will be in Chestnut Level Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 2 PM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
