At 4:15 on the morning of December 9, 2005, Denise Renee (March) Foltz ended her 3 year battle with cancer to join her dearly departed mother, Nancy Ann (March) Thompson; blessed, beloved “Nana”, Eleannor Irene (Shaffer) March; brother, Warren Thompson; and her infant granddaughter, Hailey Nicole Werner. A member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Reading, Denise was a former Reamstown Girl Scout Leader, and retired as co-owner and administrator of several family businesses including the Subway, Adamstown. An accomplished homemaker, noted for her baking and culinary talents, she also enjoyed flower gardening, planting many around her home. Decorating with seasonal flowers was a passion, especially with poinsettias for her favorite holiday, Christmas, when she spent joyful, festive times with family and friends. She patiently waits for her loving and ever supporting husband of 33 years, Dennis E. Foltz, daughters, Heather Lynn (Foltz) Werner, Reading, and Holly Jane (Foltz) Clark, Charlotte, NC; precious, loving granddaughter, Marley Jane Werner, who knew her as “Meme”, with whom Denise placed her hope in the future and; sister, Jody Lynn (Thompson) Keen, Culville, WA; 3 aunts, 2 uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
A Celebration of Denise's Life will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2005, at 3:00 PM from our parlors with The Rev. Verle C. Schumacher leading family and friends in the sharing of her life stories and memories. A visitation with the family will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.

Gladys D. Flory
June 28, 1917 - July 15, 2002
Gladys D. Flory, 85, 201 North State Street, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died in her home Monday at 12:45 PM under the care of Hospice of Lancaster County. Born in Ephrata, she was a daughter of the late Earl H. and Marie (Horst) Myers. Her husband of 60 years, Paul F. Flory, died July 13, 1999. She had worshipped in the Brethren faith. Gladys was employed for over 25 years by the former Husin Manufacturing, Ephrata. She had worked at several other Ephrata area textile factories earlier. She enjoyed her family, as well as, quilting, embroidery, cooking and sewing handy crafts. Surviving are 3 daughters, Sandra M. Good, Reamstown, Lancaster County; Paula F., marriage to Jay L. Lininger, Dillsburg, York County; and Sharon L., marriage to Richard L. Sherk, Ephrata; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Gladys' funeral will be held from our parlor on Friday morning, July 19, 2002, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Stephen E. Hollinger officiating. The casket will be open just prior to the service. The burial will follow in Memory Gardens Memorial Park, East Cocalico Township, PA.

James P. Foltz

James P. Foltz, 70, of 549 Chapel Lane, Denver (Brecknock Twp.), Lancaster County, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006, at 6:07 PM in Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Derry Township, Dauphin County, where he was a patient since Friday. Born April 15, 1935, in Lancaster, he was a son of the late James and Annie (Zerbe) Foltz, and was the husband of Ruth L. (Fry) Foltz for 48 years. Foltz retired as a sales representative with Pitt Auto, Pittsburgh, and had previously been a station manager on the turnpike at Valley Forge with Gulf Oil Corporation for 20 years. He was a 1953 graduate of Wilson High School and was an Army veteran. James attended Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland, and was an avid hunter, trap shooter and outdoorsman. Also surviving is a son, James Michael, husband of Carla E. (Benham) Foltz, San Angelo, Texas ; a daughter, Susan Ruth (Foltz), wife of Martin L. Fickes, Denver, PA ; 4 grandchildren and a great-grandson.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2006, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc., Reamstown, and on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 at the church.
Services in celebration of Jim's life will be held on Monday, February 27, 2006, at 10:00 AM from Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland, PA 17557, with The Rev. Aaron W. Webb and Rev. Dr. William Finnigan officiating.
Burial will follow in Terre Hill Cemetery .
Martin B. Heistand

Martin B. Heistand, 89, of 3734 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, died Monday afternoon at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Rapho Twp., Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Martin K. and Elizabeth S. Brinser Heistand. The loving husband of Mary Siegrist Heistand, they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary March 15th, 2004.
Mr. Heistand was a member of Risser's Mennonite Church in Elizabethtown where he was a trustee for many years. He also served as treasurer of Risser's Cemetery Association for 32 years. Prior to retiring in 1980, he owned and operated a farm in Rapho Twp. for nearly 40 years.
Mr. Heistand was a former member of PA Farmers' Association. In addition to growing vegetables for his family's enjoyment, he enjoyed picking black raspberries that grew wild in the fence rows of his farm and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth B. Hynicker, and Anna E. Martin.
He is survived by: his wife, Mary Siegrist Heistand of Manheim; two sons, George D., husband of Sandra L. Collins Heistand of Bainbridge, and J. Lester, husband of Elizabeth K. Kreider Heistand of Manheim; a daughter, Elsie A., wife of Jay E. Witman of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Brinser B., husband of Janet Lehman Heistand of Rheems, and Ira B., husband of Barbara Martin Heistand of Elizabethtown.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, with Pastors Ralph G. Ginder, Gerald M. Heistand, Larry E. Ginder, and James S. Zimmerman officiating. Interment will be in Risser's Mennonite Cemetery, Elizabethtown.
Friends may call at the Frank S. Miller Funeral Home, 130 North Market Street, Elizabethtown, PA on Friday evening from 6-8:00 PM and at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Wilma Yoder

Wilma Yoder, 69, of Manheim, formerly of New Milford, CT, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at her home. She was the wife of the late Norman Yoder, Sr.
Mrs. Yoder was born in Decatur, New York, September 12, 1935, daughter of the late Walter and Sadie Dauley Jeffers.
She retired as a sales clerk with CVS Pharmacy in 2002. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW.
Mrs. Yoder is survived by: 2 sons, Norman A. Yoder, Jr., of Newport, NC and Peter B. Yoder of Manheim; 7 daughters Dixie Bryant of Amenia, NY, Peggy A. Ford and Judy E. Shrack, both of New Milford, Suzanne L. Neu of Dover, NY, Lori E. Neu of Ephrata, Terry L. Yoder of Manheim, and Jennifer J. Yoder of Ephrata; 1 brother, Frederick Jeffers of Davenport, NY; 2 sisters, Laura Laplant of East Worcester, NY and Marie Becker of Richmondville, NY; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at the Center Cemetery, New Milford, CT.
Friends may call at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge Street, New Milford, CT on Friday, from 7 to 9 PM.

Frank D. Sears

Frank D. Sears, 68, of Gap, died on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at his home after a long battle with cancer.
He was the husband of Mary L. Pierce Sears with whom he shared 38 years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, he was raised from an infant by the late Vernon and Rhova Violet Bair of Parkesburg.
He graduated in 1954 from Scott High School of Coatesville and later served in the US Army. Frank was employed by the former Lukens Steel Co., retiring in 1987 and he also owned and operated his Sanitation and Septic Business since 1968.
He attended the Limeville United Methodist Church and was an active member of the Skerrett Masonic Lodge, #343, F&AM of Cochranville where he served twice as Past Master. He was also a member of the Consistory Valley of Reading, Royal Arch Chapter #267 of Coatesville, Continental Commandery #55, Knights Templer of Coatesville, Goodwin Council #19 of Lancaster and Life Member of the Gap VFW Post #7418. Frank also enjoyed go-kart racing for the past 30 years and was an avid Nascar fan.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by two daughters, Jodie L., wife of Ronald Groff of Gap, Stacey L., wife of Daniel Strickland of Greenville, NC; five grandsons, and three sisters, Doris Tricoski of Pottstown, Fern, wife of Ben Wertz of Ohio, and Evelyn, wife of Allen Herr of Christiana.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 11AM from the Limeville United Methodist Church, 5783 Limeville Road, Gap, PA 17527. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call at the Church on Friday evening, December 17, from 6PM to 9PM, and also Saturday morning from 10AM to the time of the service. A Masonic service will be conducted on Friday evening from the Church at 9PM by the Skerrett Masonic Lodge #343 F&AM of Cochranville.
