William P. Kauffman, 80, of 3 Hill Road, Manheim, Lancaster County, formerly of Reamstown, Lancaster County, died Tuesday morning at 7:20 AM in the Ephrata Community Hospital where he was a patient five days. Born in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Amos E. and Edith M. (Cooper) Kauffman. His wife, Lorraine E. (Usmiller) Kauffman, died September 20, 1997. Last working in 1999, he was employed by the former Pharmhouse, Ephrata, and Redners Warehouse Markets, Ephrata, for many years; continuing part-time after retirement. He had worked previously as an adjustor for various auto repair shops in the area. Kauffman was an Army veteran of World War II, having taken part in the invasions of New Guinea, Morotai and the Phillipines. He was a member of the Adamstown VFW, the Reamstown Athletic Association, was an avid reader, former hunter and a fan of NASCAR. Many years ago he was a Cub Scout Pack Master and coached Midget Baseball both in Denver. Surviving is a daughter, Freda D., marriage to Ken Goetze, Glenmore, PA; 2 sons, William J., marriage to Joan M. (Herzog) Kauffman, Manheim, PA; and Philip P., marriage to Cynthia A. (Garber) Kauffman, Ephrata, PA; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Amos J. Kauffman.
Bill's viewing will be held from our parlors on Thursday evening, October 10, 2002, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. The funeral ceremony will begin at 7:30 PM with The Reverend Dennis L. Trout officiating.
Private entombment will be held by the family from Memory Gardens Mausoleum, East Cocalico Township, PA, with Red Rose Veteran's Honor Guard of Lancaster conducting military honors.

Ella M. Keiffer
Nov. 18, 1914 - Oct. 11, 2001
She loved gardening. Ella M. Keiffer, age 87, formerly of Stevens, died early Thursday morning in the Denver Nursing Home where she resided since October 4th. She had last resided at Colonial Lodge, Denver. Born in Ephrata, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph W. and Ella K. (Econroad) Cammauf. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Ephrata, and was a former member of Carpenter’s Community Church, Talmage, Lancaster County, where she had been a Sunday school teacher and Bible study leader. Retiring in 1960, she was employed for many years at the former A. N. Wolf Shoe Company, Denver; former Hesteco Manufacturing, Ephrata; and last for the former Ba-Ru-Be Co., Ephrata. Ella is survived by a daughter, Romaine, wife of Ronald E. Lorah, Melbourne Beach, Florida; a son, Joseph L., husband of Lucy H. (Hiester) Becker, Stevens; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Melo Cammauf, Denver Nursing Home, Stevens; and Floyd marriage to Jane Cammauf, Ephrata. A brother, Garson Cammauf, preceded her in death.
Ella's funeral ceremony will be held Monday morning, October 15, 2001, from our parlors with Pastor Keith Sweitzer and Pastor Glenn Hoover officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services with interment following the service in Caernarvon Cemetery, Morgantown, PA.

Lila Mae Kiefer
September 20, 1913 - January 29, 2003
Lila Mae Kiefer, 89, formerly of Bowmansville, Ephrata and Denver, died Wednesday morning at 3:15 AM in Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron, Lancaster County, PA, where she resided for the past 6 years. Born in Sault St. Marie, Ontario, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Anna L. (Garber) Gehman, and was the widow of John W. Kiefer, who died September 15, 2000, and Lewis G. Horning, who died November 11, 1979. Mrs. Kiefer was a member of Ephrata Church of the Brethren where she had been active in the Bible Study Group. She was employed for many years by the Servomation Company, Lancaster, working for them at the former Cinderella Knitting Mill, Denver, Lancaster County. Lila enjoyed crafts and attending craft shows. Surviving are 2 daughters, Constance L. (Hornberger) Sweigart, Denver; and Gloria A. (Hornberger) Reider, Schoeneck, Lancaster County; 8 Grandchildren; 11 Great-Grandchildren; 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren; 2 step-daughters, Mary Ann (Kiefer), wife of Barry L. Jacobs, Narvon, Lancaster County; and Mabel (Horning), wife of Harold Good, Blainsport, Lancaster County; 2 step-sons, Jay L. Horning, Denver; and Kenneth S. Horning, Herndon; and numerous step-grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Constantine Mae Hornberger and 4 brothers, Emerson, Ivan, David and Ralph Gehman.
Lila's viewing will be held on Monday, February 3, 2003, from 1:30 to 2:00 PM from our funeral parlors. The service will begin at 2:00 PM with her pastor, The Reverend Galen R. Hackman, officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Salem Union Cemtery, Reamstown.
William A. Koch
December 9, 1914 - February 29, 2004
William A. Koch, 88, formerly of 505 East Main Street, Ephrata, Lancaster County, and Reading, died Sunday morning at 8:20 AM in the Ephrata Community Hospital where he was a patient for 16 days. He had last resided at Audubon Villa, Lititz, since January 2003. Born in West Reading, Berks County, he was a son of the late William and Nora (Fausnacht) Koch. His wife, Ruth G. (Burd) Koch, died July 17, 1999. Retiring in 1967, he was employed for 25 years with Ephrata Manufacturing Company. He was formerly employed by Boose Aluminum Foundry, Reamstown. Koch was a model train collector, a country music fan and enjoyed visiting the Strasburg Railroad. Surviving is a daughter, Eleanor E. (Koch), marriage to Denton J. Coyne, Mt. Penn, PA; a son, Paul D. Koch, Sr., Temple, PA; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Delmar, marriage to June (Grill) Koch, Lincoln Park, Reading, PA. He was preceded in death by a son William H. Koch in 1995; 3 sisters, Pauline Fritz, who died February 22, 2004; Eva Sweitzer and Elsie Lane; and a brother, Clarence Koch.
A viewing will be held from our parlors on Thursday, March 4, 2004, from Noon to 1:00 PM. Services celebrating William's life will begin at 1:00 PM with The Reverend John Hughes officiating. Burial in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township, Berks County, PA, will follow.
Leon B. Krall

Leon B. Krall, 83, of 1281 South Cocalico Road, Denver, Lancaster County, died Tuesday morning at 1:50 AM in Lancaster General Hospital where he was a patient for the past 12 days. Born in South Lebanon Township, Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Jacob and Lizzie (Bomberger) Krall, and was the husband of Tillie E. (Katzaman) Krall for 63 years on February 9, 2003. Prior to retiring, Krall was a woodworker with Plain & Fancy Kitchens, Schaefferstown, Lebanon County, for 9 years. He had also been the head janitor for Eastern Lebanon County School District for 16 years. He was previously employed by E. J. Levino, Sheridan, Lebanon County. Surviving in addition to his wife are 5 daughters, Betty J. (Krall), marriage to Clarence Saul, Stevens, PA; Joyce C. (Krall), marriage to Donald Binner, Schaefferstown, PA; Peggy Y. (Krall), marriage to Michael Layser, Richland, PA; Linda L. (Krall), marriage to Terry Lengel, Shrewsberry, PA; and Suzanne M. (Krall), marriage to Richard Wartluft, Myerstown, PA; a son, L. Robert, marriage to Gail (Gallagher) Krall, Mt. Joy, PA; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 8 step-grandchildren. Also, 4 sisters, Verna (Krall), marriage to Jacob Firestine, Sheridan, PA; Erma (Krall) Light, Robesonia, PA; Esther (Krall), marriage to John Ulrich, Lebanon, PA; and Anna (Krall), marriage to Harold Blatt, Lebanon, PA; and 2 brothers, Warren, marriage to Betty (Miller) Krall, Myerstown, PA; and Grant, marriage to Jean (Webber) Krall, Lebanon, PA.

Anna M. Rentschler Leccese, 96, of Derry Township, Hershey, Dauphin County, died Thursday, December 22, 2005, in Hershey Medical Center where she was a patient several days. Born July 23, 1909, in Reamstown, she was a daughter of the late Nathan and Kate (Snader) Lied. Her first husband, Melvin O. Rentschler, died in 1965, and her second husband, Dan M. Leccese, died in 1993. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Reamstown, and was a homemaker most of her life. Anna is survived by a daughter, Nancy A. Coletti, Hershey, PA ; and nieces and nephews.

Milton H. Leffler, Jr.

Milton H. Leffler, Jr., 81, of 1950 Old Lancaster Pike, Sinking Spring, (Spring Township), Berks County, died Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at 6:35 PM in Reading Hospital & Medical Center, West Reading, where he was a patient 6 days. Born in Spring Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late Milton H., Sr. and Helen (Hagmayer) Leffler, and was the husband of Geraldine (Trupp) Leffler for 59 years. He was employed for 32 years by Frank Ix & Sons, Inc., New Holland. A member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gouglersville, he was a World War II Marine Corps veteran. Also surviving are 2 sons, Gregory H., husband of Sharon L. (Leininger) Leffler, Lower Heidelberg Township, PA ; and Gary D., husband of Susan J. (Springer) Leffler, Birdsboro, PA ; 2 daughters, Sharon L. (Leffler), wife of Barry R. Steffy, Spring Township, PA ; and Sandra L. Leffler, companion of Steven T. Chelius, Reading, PA; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Elwood Leffler, Wyomissing, PA; Fred Leffler, Sinking Spring, PA; and Wesley Leffler, Greenfield, PA.
Services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2005, at 10:00 AM from our parlors with The Reverend Christina Johnsten officiating. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
Burial in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring, with military honors by Ray A. Masters Post #217 American Legion, Topton.
