Thomas James Miller, 46, of 600 West Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, Dauphin County, formerly of Mohnton, died in his residence Friday morning. The Dauphin County coroner’s office has ruled the death a suicide. Born in West Reading, Berks County, he was a son of Norman R. and Elizabeth (Houck) Miller, Mohnton. He was a 1975 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, Shillington, and was an avid chess player. Miller was employed as 2nd shift supervisor for Memmi’s Bakery, Hershey. Surviving in addition to his parents is a son, Michael J. Miller, Hershey; a brother, Ronald J. Miller, Birdsboro, PA; and 2 sisters, Carol Ann (Miller) Moroco), Weston, Florida; and Theresa M. (Miller) Wallace, Birdsboro, PA.
Tom's viewing will be held from our funeral parlor on Tuesday evening, June 24, 2003, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. This will be a time to greet the family and share memories of Tom's life.
There is no service scheduled and final disposition will be private.
Chongvue Moua
May 1, 1915 - July 5, 2005
Chongvue Moua, 90, of 165 Country Drive, Denver, Brecknock Township, Lancaster County, died Tuesday morning, July 5, 2005, at 12:35 AM in Ephrata Community Hospital. Born May 1, 1915, in Xieng Khouang, Laos, he was a son of the late Xauchai Moua and Va Ly. Chongvue was a lifetime soldier with the Army of Laos prior to coming to the United States and was a member of the Lao Veterans of America, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Mai Lee, Denver, PA ; 3 sons, Dang and Vang Moua, both of Philadelphia, PA ; and Kong Meng Moua, Denver, PA ; 3 daughters, Xia Moua, Minneapolis, MN ; See Moua, Green Bay, WI ; and Sao Moua, St. Paul, MN; 40 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 10:00 AM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc. of Reamstown, Lancaster County. Burial will follow in Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery, East Earl, Lancaster County .
There will be viewings and ceremonies held on Thursday, July 7, 2005, from 3:00 to 9:00 PM, and on Friday, July 8, 2005, from 9:00 AM to Noon and 6:00 PM until around 1:00 AM Friday.
Pang Moua
December 23, 1922 - April 22, 2006
Pang Moua, 83, of 16 Hertzog Drive, Leola, Lancaster County, died Saturday, April 22, 2006, at 2:10 PM in Lancashire Hall, Neffsville, Lancaster County, where she resided the past 3 weeks. Born December 23, 1922, in Xieng Khouang, Laos, she was the daughter of the late Cha Yor Moua. Her husband, Song Ger Lor, died in 1966. A member of Hmong Alliance Church, Leola, she was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and gardening. Surviving are 3 sons, Yong Kao Lo, husband of Pa Nhia, Ephrata, PA ; Chai Vang Lor, husband of Shoua, Salem, Oregon ; and Chong Fong Lor, husband of Bee Vang, Leola, PA ; 30 granchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by 2 daughters, Zong and Sheng Lor, and 2 sons, Pao and Doua Lor.
Viewings & Services will be held on Thursday and Friday, April 27 and 28, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM and 6:00 to 9:00 PM from our funeral home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at 9:00 AM with Reverend Pao Her officiating from our parlor.
Burial in Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery, East Earl, Lancaster County, PA.
Yang Moua
August 29, 1952 - July 6, 2004
Yang Moua, 51, of 300 Pine Street Reading, PA, 19602, died Tuesday morning at 9:45 AM in Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading, Berks County, PA. She was born in Xiengkhouang, Laos, a daughter of the late Thxiaj Seng Moua and Pai Vue. Her husband, Shoua Koua Vue, died in 1978. She was a member of The Hmong Alliance Church of Leola, Lancaster County, PA. Surviving are 3 daughters, Moua, Sue and Pakou Vue, all of Reading, PA; 3 sons, Seng Veu, St. Etienne, France, Sou Veu, Reading, PA; and Leng Vue, Reading, PA; 13 grandchildren; a sister, I A Moua, Santa Anna, CA; and a brother, Lee Pao Moua, Merced, CA.
Viewings and services will be held from our parlor on Friday, July 9, 2004, from 9:00 AM to Noon and 6:00 to 9:00 PM; Saturday, July 10, 2004, from 9:00 AM to Noon and 6:00 to 9:00 PM; and Sunday, July 11, 2004, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
The funeral service for Yang will begin on Monday, July 12, 2004, at 8:00 AM from our funeral home with her pastor, The Reverend Joua Pao Her, officiating. Burial will following in Swamp Cemetery, Reinholds, Lancaster County, PA.
Kaxao Moua

Kaxao Moua, 73, of 17 Mockingbird Drive, Denver, Lancaster County,formerly of Coatesville, died Wednesday morning at 11:50 AM in Maple Farms Nursing Center, Akron, PA, where he was a guest since February 22nd. Born in Xieng Khouang, Laos, he was a son of the late Chong Tou Moua and the late Youa Lee. His wife, Chao (Yang) Moua, died June 22, 1993. He was a member of the Hmong Alliance Church, Leola, where he had been active in the Alliance Men and the Senior Group of the church. Kaxao was last employed by Terre Hill Concrete, Terre Hill, PA. Surviving are 3 sons, Lopao, marriage to Neng (Vue) Moua; and Chapao, marriage to May (Yang) Moua; both of Denver, PA; and Vang, marriage to Mao (Lo) Moua, of Gordonville, PA; a daughter, Nhia, marriage to Chia Yang, Stevens, PA; 20 Grandchildren and 18 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kia Moua.
Kaxao's viewings will be held: Thursday, May 16th, 2002, 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 6:00 to 9:00 PM; Friday, May 17th, 2002, 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 6:00 to 9:00 PM, all from our funeral home.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, May 18th, 2002, at 10:00 AM from The Hmong Alliance Church, 9 South Hershey Avenue, Leola, PA 17540 with The Reverend Pao Her and The Reverend Chang-Nhia Kue officiating. Interment will follow in Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, PA. There will be no viewing at the church.
Theodore H. Myers "Motz"

Theodore H. “Motz” Myers, 76, of 316 West Main Street, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died unexpectedly in his van Friday evening at the Green Dragon Farmers Market, Ephrata Township, where he had worked earlier that afternoon. His death was attributed to natural causes. Born in Ephrata, he was a son of the late Earl H. and Marie (Horst) Myers. His wife, Arlene M. (Hufford) Myers, died July 11, 2000. “Motz”, as most people knew him, was the owner and operator of the former Ted “Motz” Myers Floor Covering, Ephrata, for 35 years, until retiring in 1983. He was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ, Ephrata, and an army veteran of World War II. Myers was a member of the Ephrata Post 3376 Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Reamstown Athletic Association and was a former Republican Committeeman of Ephrata’s 3rd Ward. He was an avid woodworking craftsman, fisherman, sportsman, and in the last few years he enjoyed “farming” saffron at his home. Surviving are 3 sons, Lon G., marriage to Gloria (Ober) Myers, Ephrata; Drew A., marriage to Deborah M. (Root) Myers, Ephrata; and Brad J., marriage to Sarah S. (Miller) Myers, Akron, PA; 5 grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys D. Flory, Ephrata.
Ted's viewing will be held on Tuesday evening, October 30, 2001, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM from our parlor. The funeral ceremony will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 31, 2001, at 10:00 AM with his pastor, The Rev. Levina S. Huber, officiating. Burial with military honors will be held from Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata. The Red Rose Honor Guard of Lancaster County will conduct the presentation.
Jonathan A. Moyer "Jonnie"
1985 - 2003
Jonathan A. “Jonnie” Moyer, 17, of 50 Walnut Drive, Brownstown, Lancaster County, was tragically taken from us in 2003. Born July 20, 1985, in Ephrata, Lancaster County, he was a son and step-son of Ronald L. and Patricia (Harter) Moyer, with whom he resided, and a son of Jessie L. Pierce, Ephrata. He was a student at Conestoga Valley High School where he had played midget football. Jonnie enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Also surviving are paternal grandparents, Richard H. and Louise (Smith) Moyer, Denver, Lancaster County; maternal grandfather, John Pierce, Ephrata; and step-grandparents, Jim and Eleanor (Wink) Harter, Ephrata; a sister, Pamela Beckner, at home; 3 brothers, Jeremy, husband of Jennifer (Parker) Moyer, Reinholds, Lancaster County; Josh Moyer, Reamstown, Lancaster County; and Donald “DJ” Beckner, at home. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Nancy (Weachter) Pierce.
A casual memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2005, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the West Earl Township Park, Route 772, Talmadge, Lancaster County.
