Bonnie L. Reber, 50, of 243 East Church Street, Stevens, Lancaster County, PA, lost her year long battle with cancer Saturday, February 5, 2005, at 2:30 PM in the Essa Flory Hospice Center, East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, PA. Born August 20, 1954, in Ephrata, Lancaster County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Betty Reber and Wilbur Mohler of Allentown . She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Reamstown, was an avid reader, enjoyed baking, sewing and spending time with her family. Bonnie was employed by Meke, Inc., New Holland, Lancaster County . In addition to her father, she is survived by a daughter, Jasmine, wife of Kent E. Heberlig, Ephrata; two grandchildren, died Saturday, December 6, 2003, at 7:30 AM in Lancashire Hall, Neffsville, Lancaster County, where he resided since September of 1998. Born in Voganville, Lancaster County, he was a son of the late Amos Martin and Bertha F. (Nolt) Redcay. His wife, Mary E. (Auker) Redcay, died earlier this year. He was a member of Schubert’s Mennonite Church, Bethel. Redcay was employed for many years as a stone mason by his brother, Amos Redcay, Morgantown, and was last employed as a machinist with Boart Hardmetal, Lebanon. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and hunting. He is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Jane (Redcay) Koons, Jonestown, PA; and Mildred (Redcay), marriage to James Immel, Atglen, PA; 2 sons, Leonard, marriage to Andrea (Niccolini) Redcay, Paylmyra, PA; and Reuben R., marriage to Anne C. (Coyle) Redcay, Stevens, PA; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Eva N. Wealand, Ephrata, PA; and Bertha N. Breneman, Lititz, PA; and 2 brothers, Abram N. Redcay, Fairmount Homes, Farmersville, PA; and Amos N., marriage to Ruth K. (Mast) Redcay, Morgantown, PA.
There will be no viewing.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at 2:00 PM from Muddy Creek Cemetery, Swartzville, Lancaster County, PA, with The Rev. John Zuck officiating.

Horace L. Reddig "Brooks"
Horace L. “Brooks” Reddig, 92, formerly of 103 North Reamstown Road, Reamstown, Lancaster County, died Sunday afternoon at 12:30 PM in Ephrata Manor, Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, where he resided since August 1, 1997. Born in Reamstown, he was a son of the late Howard E. and Lydia A. (Wolf) Reddig. His wife, Elva M. (Grimes) Reddig, died November 18, 1990. He was a member, past council member and choir member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reamstown. Brooks was a surgical technician with the 114th Hospital Unit of the Army during World War II, serving in England. He was a member of the Ephrata VFW. He was a graduate of East Cocalico High School and had attended Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster. A full fashion knitter at the former Berkshire Knitting Mills, Wyomissing, for many years, he last worked for Denver Supply, Denver, Lancaster County. Following retirement he served as a crossing guard for the Reamstown Elementary School for many years. Mr. Reddig was the last living charter member of the East Cocalico Lions Club, Reamstown, where he was also a past president. In earlier years he was very active in the Reamstown Memorial Park Association, having been instrumental in the erection of the War Memorial at the park entrance. He was also a baseball fan, having enjoyed the Philadelphia Phillies. Surviving are 2 daughters, Sara L., marriage to James S. Meminger, Emmaus, PA; and Phyllis Vouras, Wilmington, DE; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A brother, G. Arthur Reddig, preceded him in death in 1978.
A viewing will be held on Friday evening, February 8, 2002, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM from our parlors. The casket will also be open on Saturday at the church from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. The service will be held from Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 58 South Reamstown Road, Reamstown, PA, on Saturday, February 9, 2002, at 11:00 AM with his pastor, The Reverend Glenn A. Beard, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Reamstown, with military presentation by The Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard of Lancaster County. If desired, contributions may be sent to the Memorial Fund of Salem Lutheran Church, Post Office Box 262, Reamstown, PA 17567-0262.
Everett E. Reich
December 29, 1918 - March 16, 2002
Everett E. Reich, 83, formerly of 1069 Ridge Avenue, Ephrata, Lancaster County, died Saturday at 1:45 PM in Lancaster General Hospital. He was a resident of the United Zion Home, Lititz, since January 2000. Born in Ephrata, he was a son of the late Rev. Harry W. and Elsie S. (Nolt) Reich, and was the husband of Annie (Swartz) Reich, also a resident of the United Zion Home, Lititz, for 62 years on December 25, 2001. He was a member, 36 year deacon, former Sunday school superintendent, teacher & secretary of Hahnstown United Zion Church, Ephrata, where he was also a former president and secretary of the Young People’s Society of the church. Reich was employed for over 40 years by the former Miller-Hess Shoe Company, Akron, last working in 1979. He was also an avid bird watcher. Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a son, Rev. Marvin E., marriage to Debbie E. (Smith) Reich, Lancaster, PA; and a daughter, Ruth Ann, marriage to Ray M. Halligan, Medford, Wisconsin; 16 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mary Jane Fry, a grandson, Seth Halligan, and a sister, Esther Redcay, preceded him in death.
Everett's viewing will be held from our funeral home on Tuesday, March 19, 2002, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be on Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at 11:00 AM from Hahnstown United Zion Church, Glenwood Drive, Ephrata, PA, with his pastor and son-in-law, Reverend John H. Fry, officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining Cemetery.
The family asks that rather than flowers, contributions in Everett's memory be sent to his church.
Genevieve E. Ressler
December 24, 1926 - March 8, 2005
Genevieve E. Ressler, 78, Ephrata, died Friday, April 8, 2005, at 3:35 PM in Maple Farm Nursing Center, Akron, where she resided since December 2004. Born December 24, 1926, in Ephrata, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel M. and Margaret E. (Peiffer) Hackman. Her husband, Richard G. Ressler, died February 5, 1998. Retiring in 1980, she last worked in the office at Sears Roebuck & Co., Park City, Lancaster . Previously, she had been employed for 22 years as a waitress at the former Howard Johnson’s Restaurant and Zinn’s Diner, both in Denver . Genevieve was a member of the Ephrata Golden Years Club, the Breathe with Ease Club, Lancaster, and the group exercise of the Ephrata Recreation Center . She also enjoyed playing bingo and traveling. Surviving is a son, Ricky L. (Joanne M. Weik) Ressler, Ephrata; grandson, Sean Rollman, Pittsburgh ; great-grandchildren, Justin & Lindsey Rollman, Pittsburgh ; sister, Rhoda Heister, Reinholds; brothers, Carl E.Hackman, Myerstown; J. Ronald and Elwood D. Hackman, both Ephrata; and Jerry L. Hackman, Wernersville. Also preceding her in death: son, Jeffrey Lynn Ressler; daughter, Jee-Anne Bauman; grandchildren, Tanya Anne and Brian Bauman; sisters, Mary Jane Adams and Nancy Trostle; brothers, Samuel P., Franklin P. and Harold Hackman.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at 8:00 PM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc. of Reamstown with The Rev. Mark Johnson officiating. A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

November 27, 1944 - December 11, 2004
Denver Richardson, 60, Post Office Box 23, Denver, Lancaster County, PA, died unexpectedly Saturday morning of an apparent heart attack. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Ephrata Community Hospital after becoming ill at his residence. Born in Monongahela, PA, he was a son of the late Stephen Uram and Luella S. (Peters) Uram, Lancaster, PA. He was a member of Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church, Reinholds. Denver was employed as the controller for Conestoga Country Club, Lancaster. Previously he had worked at Quality Inn, Lebanon, PA, and had been an instructor at the former McCann's School of Business, Reading.. A professional lay assistant of the Central Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, he had served as interim and supply pastor at various Pennsylvania churches. He had also been a longtime synod delegate. Earlier Denver was a professional keyboard artist. He graduated from Rostraver High School in Western Pennsylvania. Surviving in addition to his mother is a brother, Gene A., husband of Donna L. (Aber) Uram, Lancaster.
A viewing will be held from our parlors on Tuesday evening, December 14, 2004, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and at the church on Wednesday morning, December 15, 2004, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Services will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2004, at 11:00 AM from Swamp Evangelical Lutheran Church, 275 Swamp Church Road, Reinholds, PA, with his pastor, The Reverend Dennis L. Trout, officiating.
Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township, Berks County, PA.
Kathryn Marie Rissler

Kathryn Marie Rissler, 82, formerly of Ephrata, died Monday, October 17, 2005, at 7:05 PM in Audubon Villa, Lititz, where she resided for the past year. Born September 2, 1923, in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Cora M. ( Marshall ) Frederick. A member of Bergstrasse Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ephrata, she was an avid fan of NASCAR, horse racing, fishing, camping, gardening, collecting dolls and enjoyed crocheting. She had been employed by Atlas Manufacturing, Ephrata. Surviving is a son, Robert C., husband of Kristie (Pufi) Wenrich, Akron, PA ; 4 daughters, Mary M. Keisling, Denver, PA ; Carol L. Moyer, Ephrata, PA ; Joyce E., wife of Lynn Johnson, Ephrata, PA; and Diane M., wife of James Wolfe, Lititz, PA; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Pauline A. Ulrich, Reinholds, PA; and a brother, John H., husband of Joyce (Budd) Frederick, Newmanstown, PA. A sister, Florence A. Adair, died in 2001.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2005, at 10:00 AM from Good Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, Inc., 34-38 North Reamstown Road, Reamstown, PA, with her pastor, The Rev. Herbert A. Lohr, officiating. A viewing will be held Friday one hour prior to the service.
