Susanna A. Felch, 97, of North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born Aug. 1, 1904 in Wilkes-Barre Township, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susanna (Orsitch) Zubal. She was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township schools. She was one of the oldest members of Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Wilkes-Barre, and was baptized by the Rev. Alexis Toth, who was canonized in 1994 by the Orthodox Church in America as St. Alexis of Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of St. Barbara's Guild and past president of the Russian Orthodox Catholic Mutual Aid Society Ladies Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maxim N. Grabko; second husband, Michael M. Felch Sr.; sons, Nicholas and William Basil; stepson, Michael Felch Jr.; and stepdaughter, Margaret Patrician.
Surviving are her daughters, Olga Kapral, Beech Mountain Lake, Drums, Butler Township; LaVerne Perrotto, Collegeville; and Dolores Grabko, Wilkes-Barre.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the family home at 562 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Requiem service at 10 a.m. at Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville, Kingston Township. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the family home. Parastas services will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, with the Very Rev. Joseph Martin officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cathedral, 591 N. Leonard G. Yatsko, of White Haven, died Wednesday at his home.
Born in Nanticoke, he was a son of the late Joseph and Maria (Bartek) Yatsko. He was self-employed as a produce and meat salesman, before retiring. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a volunteer for Catholic Youth Services.
Surviving are his brothers, Joseph P., Nanticoke; and Jerome, Mountaintop; sisters, Anne Kochanski, Akron, Ohio; and Dorothy, Nanticoke; nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Funeral arrangements are by the Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 22 S. Prospect St., Nanticoke. There will be no calling hours.

Catherine Graham, of Pittston, died Friday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born March 30, 1911 in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late John and Della (Williams) Thomas. She was a graduate of Scranton schools. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Pittston, and former member of its Women's Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; brothers, James and Charles; and sister, Jesse Rhule.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Shandra, Pittston; five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston. The Rev. Harriet Santos will officiate. Interment will be in West Pittston Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

William F. Jesse, 84, of Franklin Street, Edwardsville, died Friday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Larksville, he was a son of the late Charles and Wanda (Doberstein) Jesse. He was a graduate of Larksville High School. He was a conductor for 45 years on the Erie Lackawanna Railroad and Conrail, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Forty Fort United Methodist Church, Kingston Lodge No. 395, F & AM, Caldwell Consistory, Bloomsburg, Irem Temple, AAONMS, Wilkes-Barre, and was a shriner. He was active with the Westside Food Bank and was a member of the Susquehanna Trailers Hiking Club. He formerly associated with the Edwardsville Little League and helped obtain the land where the fields are currently located. He also coached in the Kunkle Little League and Dallas Cowboys mini football.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle (Banta) Jesse; brothers, Albert, Charles and Richard; and sister, Lillian Scott.
Surviving are his son, William L., retired Pennsylvania State Police officer, Dallas; daughters, Beverly Rosengrant, Shavertown; and Sandra Dalon, Edwardsville; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, with the Rev. Donald A. Roberts Sr., pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Carverton, Franklin Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A Masonic service will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Sophia Ann Petro, 58, of Meadowland Drive, Kearneysville, W.Va., formerly of Hanover Township, died Tuesday at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md.
Born Aug. 17, 1943 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Nellie Sodoski. She was a 1961 graduate of Hanover High School. She worked for Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, and Frederick Hospital, Frederick, Md.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas.
Surviving are her daughter, Dawn, Charles Town, W.Va.; son, Thomas, Jr., Woodbridge, Va.; sisters, Martha Letukas, Hanover Township; Agnes Tasco, Boonton, N.J.; and Frances Ryan, Carlisle; and brother, Frank, Wilkes-Barre.

She was a graduate of Kingston High School. She worked for the Bureau of State Employment, Harrisburg, for 45 years. She was a member of St. Hedwig's Church, Kingston.

Donald "Buddy" Morris, 72, of Edison, N.J., formerly of Edwardsville, died Dec. 24 in Edison. Born Dec. 4, 1929 in Edwardsville, he was a son of the late Thomas "Gob" and Elizabeth Morris. He attended Edwardsville schools. He worked for Permacel Corp., North Brunswick, N.J., before retiring. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1947 to 1949.

Thaddeus M. Mazur, of Wilmington, Del., died Thursday at the St. Francis Hospital, Wilmington.
Born in Dupont, he was the son of Pearl (Kolodgie) Mazur, Wilmington, and the late Joseph Mazur. He worked at Georgia Pacific for 30 years, until retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont.
Surviving is his daughter, Beatrice Koveleski, Wilmington.

Rita E. Lunger, 78, of Hilltop Drive, Tunkhannock, died Friday at her home.
Born June 16, 1923 in Endicott, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Wesley I. and Leona R. (Fitzpatrick) Baker. She was a 1942 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. She was an inspector for 34 years for Allied-Bendix Corp., South Montrose. She was a member of Nativity BVM Church, Tunkhannock.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Space.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, James E.; daughter, Sharon Donahue, Columbus, Ohio; one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter; brothers, Paul W., Alexandria, Va.; and Donald I., Holtwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Mass at 11 a.m. at Nativity BVM Church. The Rev. Duane Gavitt, pastor, will officiate. Mary Bonomo, 101, of Plains Township, formerly of the Heights section of Wilkes-Barre, died Friday at the Summit Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born May 11, 1900 in Italy, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Colugenese (Ferraro) Tranelli. She attended schools in Italy. She was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church and The Sons of Italy, both of Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephano; one son, four brothers, and four sisters.
Surviving are her daughters, Pearl Ecrolani, Aliquippa; Lorenzina Ambrose, Mountaintop; and Mary Backo, Wallington, N.J.; son, Lawrence, Plains Township; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.

Martin Demko, 71, of Park Avenue Towers, Wilkes-Barre, died Friday at his residence.
Born Feb. 18, 1930 in Dorrance, he was a son of the late Louis, Sr. and Anna (Prest) Demko. He attended schools in the Dorrance Township public school system. Before retiring, he worked in the maintenance departments of Hanover Village, American Tobacco Co., Frieder & Son Cigar Co. and Leon Ferenbach Textile Mill. He also worked in the mining industry of Wyoming Valley. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, serving as a corporal, and also served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was involved in the atomic maneuvers at Camp Desert Rock, Nevada.
He was a former post commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5267, Sans Souci Parkway, and member of Amvets Post 59, Disabled American Veterans Shawnee Post 32, United Citizen's Club, Nanticoke, National Association of Atomic Veterans and the Korean War Veterans of Wyoming Valley.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Martin Allan; brothers, Nicholas, John and Stephen; and sisters, Helen Cain and Katherine Mackiewicz.
Surviving are his son, Donald, Bethlehem; daughter, Debra Smith, Wilkes-Barre; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; sisters, Anna Motovidlak, Wilkes-Barre; Sophie Bruch, Milton; and Mary Napolsky, Pringle; brothers, Michael, Wilkes-Barre; and Louis, Jr., Wilkes-Barre Township; former wife, Lois Hill Carichner, Wilkes-Barre; and several nieces and nephews.
A military funeral service with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5267 will be conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home Inc., 136 Maffett St., Plains Township, with Archpriest Alex Burak officiating at the Requiem services. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Anthony R. Mattina, 78, of West Eighth Street, West Wyoming, died Friday at the Centre Community Hospital, State College.
Born in West Wyoming, he was a son of the late Stephen and Fannie (Cordaro) Mattina. He worked at Techneglas Inc., Pittston Township, before retiring. He also managed the Italian Corp., West Wyoming. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Because he entered the service during his school years, he recently received his high school diploma from the Wyoming Area School District. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming, Veterans of Foreign Wars Wyoming Post 396, life member of the West Wyoming Hose Co. No. 1 and the American Legion Post 558, Plains Township. He also was a member of the Glassblowers Union Local 243.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl and William; and sisters, Nancy LeBene and Beatrice DiGiacomo.
Surviving are his wife, the former Marie Hutch; daughter, Joann Orlando, West Wyoming; three grandchildren, one great-grandson; brother, Angelo, West Wyoming; sisters, Mary Pallini, Valley Crest; and Sally Pachamovich, Exeter; nieces and nephews.
