Alex R. Dombroski Jr., 59, of Kingston, died Monday shortly after admission to the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Kingston, he was the son of the late Alex, Sr. and Frances (Kabara) Dombroski. He received his bachelor of arts degree in history and government from King's College and master's degree in elementary education from Wilkes University. He taught in Auburn, N.Y. School District, before retiring in 1984, and most recently, he was self-employed in Real Estate Rental Service throughout Wyoming Valley.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Alex, III.
Surviving are his wife, the former Christina Nieczykowski; sister, Diane Treslar, Kingston; one nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Hedwig's Church, Kingston. Interment will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Larksville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Joseph Koronkiewicz, of Birchwood Estates, Exeter, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Jan. 30, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of the late Stanley and Verna (Koval) Koronkiewicz. He attended Coughlin High School. He worked in the local garment industry for many years. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving is his sister, Joan Matuszak, Exeter.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family from the Walter W. Lisman and Son Funeral Home, 233 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Raymond Mundgetski, 90, of West Side Manor, Plymouth, died Tuesday at the manor.
Born in the Glen Lyon section of Newport Township, he was a son of the late Walter and Anna (Ruminski) Mundgetski. He attended Newport Township High School. He was a parts manager for O'Karma Motors, Ford dealership, Nanticoke, for 25 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Adalbert's Church, Glen Lyon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Stella Stapanski; brothers, Clem, Stanley and Edward; and sister, Charlotte O'Karma.
Surviving are his daughter, Arlene Rushin, Southport, N.C.; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday from the Grontkowski Funeral Home P.C., 51-53 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Adalbert's Church. Interment will be in the parish Cemetery, Glen Lyon. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Evelyn Mae Evans, 85, formerly of Tioga Avenue, Kingston, died Monday at Balanced Care, Kingston. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Daisy (Hoensheld) Reap. She attended Scranton schools. She lived at the Westside Personal Care Home, Plymouth, and formerly on Tioga Avenue, Kingston for over 50 years. She was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston.

Amelia Mary Donahue, 74, of Nanticoke, died Tuesday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born Aug. 15, 1927 in Wapwallopen, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Amelia (Young) Readler. She lived in Nanticoke for the last 10 years. She worked for the former RCA Corp., Mountaintop, for 26 years, retiring 10 years ago.
McGrane, Marjorie

Marjorie McGrane, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died Dec. 17 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Phoenix.
She was born June 23, 1911 in Forty Fort. She was a graduate of Bryn Mawr College with a master's degree in social work. She retired from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Social Services in an administration position in the early 1970s. She was active in Arizona Social Services, a board member of the Phoenix YWCA, Assistance League and Las Rancheras Republican Club.
Surviving are her husband, John F.; and sister, Muriel T. Evans.

Ida Curcio, of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Edwardsville, died Monday.
Born in Potenza, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosina (Marino) Fumagalli. She worked in the area garment industry, before retiring. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre, and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union of America.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, Sam; grandson, Nicholas; and sisters, Flora Ryman and Yolanda.
Surviving are her daughter, Joann Brague, Plains Township; son, Frank, Larksville; three grandchildren; and sister, Maria Hyder, Wilkes-Barre.

Albert C. Shemonis, 86, of Pond Hill, formerly of the Dorrance area, died Tuesday at Berwick Hospital Center. Born Feb. 28, 1915 in Plymouth, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Yellonis) Shemonis. He was a graduate of the former Nescopeck High School. He worked in the mines 23 years, and later at Zeiser Vault Co., Nescopeck, and Consolidated Cigar Co., until retiring. He was a life member of Pond Hill-Lily Fire Co.
Cottrell Sr., LeRoy

LeRoy C. Cottrell Sr., 81, of RR 1, Forest City, died Tuesday at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale.
Born Feb. 2, 1920 in Burnwood, he was a son of the late Ernest and Minnie (Smith) Cottrell. He worked at the General Electric Co., Vestal, N.Y., for 23 years, before retiring. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with Company E of the 110th Infantry and was wounded in Huntgen Forest. He received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Worth Baptist Church, Jermyn, life member of the Clifford Township Fire Co., and volunteer at its annual picnic.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Claude and Harold; and sisters, Dorothy Cottrell, Lila Hoskins, Bernice Martin and Beatrice Frye.
Surviving are his wife, the former Florence Reynolds; daughters, Donna Harding, Wilkes-Barre; and Lori Cook, Olyphant; son, LeRoy "Skip," Jr., Jackson; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother, Elwin, Binghamton, N.Y.; four foster children, nine foster grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday from the Worth Baptist Church, RD 1, Jermyn, with the Rev. James Major officiating. Interment will be in Sand Bank Cemetery, Jermyn. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday from the Shifler-Parise Funeral Home, 102 Dundaff St., Clifford.

Sharon M. Dunlap, of Maple Street, Laceyville, died Tuesday at Community Medical Center, Scranton.
Born June 1, 1955 in Scranton, she was a daughter of Betty (Lancaster) Oslin, of Nicholson, and the late Raymond Oslin. She was a 1972 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. She was a custodian at the Procter & Gamble Plant, Mehoopany.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Debra.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her son, Robert B. Malandri, Colorado Springs, Colo.; daughter, Jennifer Parkhurst, Laceyville; three grandchildren; brothers, Robert, Springville; Raymond, Auburn; and Ronald, Nicholson; and sister, Linda, Factoryville.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Meshoppen United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Bitler officiating. Arrangements are by the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, 73 W. Charles Kazokas, 88, of North Street, Luzerne, died Tuesday at home.
Born in Luzerne, he was a son of the late William and Elizabeth (Balonis) Kazokas. He attended Luzerne schools. He was a coal miner for most of his life. He worked for Jack Williams Tire, Kingston, before retiring. He bowled for all of his life in many different leagues throughout Luzerne and the Back Mountain. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Paul, Anthony and William; and sisters, Albina Kazokas and Helen Zurinski.
Surviving are his sisters, Mary Leandri and Julia Bednar, both of Luzerne; brother, Frank, Swoyersville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Parish in St. Ann's Church, Bennett Street, Luzerne. William Russell Moyer, 95, of East County Road, Sugarloaf, died Tuesday at St. Luke Pavilion, Hazleton.
Born Sept. 13, 1906 in Dorrance, he was a son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth E. (Brown) Moyer. He lumbered, farmed, drove truck and school bus, until retiring. He was a beekeeper and was known as the "honey man," selling door to door. He was a member of Faith United Church of Christ, Hazleton, and the Teamsters Union.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Alice I. Thrash; brothers, Harold, Harry and Alvin; and sisters, Ruth, Mary and Grace.
Surviving are his nieces and nephews.

James C. Pauster, 67, of Matson Avenue, Parsons section of Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday at his home.
Born Oct. 8, 1934 in Parsons, he was a son of the late Steven and Rose (Katchmar) Pauster. He was a graduate of Coughlin High School. He was a lifelong resident of the area. He worked for many years for Trane Co., Wilkes-Barre. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Alice Whitecavage and Helen Neuman; and brother, Michael Poster.
Surviving are his sister, Anna Kossakowski, Parsons; brothers, Stephen Poster, Coos Bay, Ore.; George Poster and Edward Pauster, both of Parsons; nieces and nephews.

Aldo A. Ferretti, 82, of McKinley Street, Exeter, died Wednesday at the Hospice Community Care at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Italy, he was a son of the late Joseph and Alvira Ferretti. Before retiring, he was a coal miner at the Knox Coal Co., Exeter, and machinist and welder at Tamburo Machine Shop, Wyoming. He was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Exeter.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Geraldine Novak and Rita Merenda; and brothers, Nello, Guido and Sam; and sister, Alda Zurla.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, the former Margaret Chaivanik; son, Joseph "Buster," Exeter; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Bruno, West Wyoming; nieces and nephews.

Rev. William Price, The

The Rev. William L. Price, 86, of Pine Street, Berwick, died Wednesday at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Jan. 29, 1915 in Shamokin, he was a son of the late John and Sadie (Derrick) Price. He was a 1932 graduate of Shamokin High School and later engaged in the United Methodist Church Course of Study through Westminster Seminary.
He managed the American Stores, Shamokin, later known as Acme Markets. He served the United Methodist Church for more than 40 years. He was a part-time minister in Helfenstein and served Methodist churches in Huntington Mills, Town Hill, Waterton, Register, New Columbus, Southdale and Cambra. They merged under his leadership to form the current Town Hill United Methodist Church, which he pastored for 38 years. During his pastorate, he received over 900 people into the church, setting a record for the Central Pennsylvania Conference of United Methodist Churches, of which he was a member.
He attended the First United Methodist Church, Berwick, serving in many capacities, including Sunday school teacher and was a member of the church's Wesley Sunday School Class. He was past president of the Huntington Mills School Board of Education, involved in the 1956 jointure of schools known as the Northwest Area School District, where he was on the school board for 12 years and was president. He helped form plans for the Westside Vocational Technical School and was a founder of the Luzerne County Community College. He was awarded the Bishop D. Frederick Wertz Award for Outstanding Service to the Church from Lycoming College.
He was preceded in death by brothers, LaFayette, John, Harold, Herbert and Abraham; and sisters, Phoebe Shipe, Hazel Coalson and Sally Strausser.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, the former Bertha S. Kaseman; son, William E., North Brunswick, N.J.; daughter, Beth E., Perkasie; three granddaughters, three great-granddaughters; and sister, Martha Mossinger, Wilmington, Del.
Private graveside services will be at held for the family in Scott Cemetery, Waterton, Huntington Township. Public memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Feb. 24 from the First United Methodist Church of Berwick, 200 Market St., Berwick. The Rev. Glenn C. Limbaugh Jr. will officiate. Audrey A. Sweppenheiser, 66, of Rayelene Drive, Vestal, N.Y., died Tuesday at Blount Memorial Hospital, Maryville, Tenn.
Born Sept. 12, 1935 in Hobbie, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Mabel (Eroh) Stein. She was a graduate of the former Nescopeck High School. She was an administrative assistant for Rieger Advertising Agency, Vestal, and a decorating consultant for Home Interior Decorators, Vestal area. She was a member of Living Hope Community Church, Nescopeck.
She was preceded in death by her son, David.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, David; daughters, Sherry McCarthy, Liberty, N.Y.; Lori Cooper, Maryville; and Kristi Owings, Summerville, S.C.; three grandchildren; and sisters, Delores Wright, Berwick; and Irene Womelsdorf, Hobbie.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from Living Hope Community Church, Warren Street, Nescopeck. Interment will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Berwick. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
