Mary J. Motel, of East Green Street, Nanticoke, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born April 19, 1931, in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Wournell Kessler. Before retiring she was employed at Retreat State Hospital and Mercy Health Care Center, Sheatown. She was a member of Nebo Baptist Church, Nanticoke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Linda; sister, Gertrude Grabski; brothers, Robert and William.
Surviving are sons, John, Hunlock Creek; William, Slocum; sister, Florence Haas, Nanticoke; two grandsons; nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bethel Church, Nanticoke, with the Rev. Tim Hall officiating. Interment will be in Nanticoke Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home, 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke.
