He worked for the Lower Merion School District and F.C. Feice Tennis Courts Builders. He played professional football with the Philadelphia/Pittsburgh Steaglescq in the early 1940s.

He was a 1942 graduate of Wyoming Seminary and 1949 graduate of Yale University, with a degree in economics. He and his wife of 49 years, the former Anne Stenach, were partners in the John Stenach Ford Co., Plymouth, and were recently honored for 50 years as a Ford Dealer. He was a U.S. veteran of World War II, serving in the China, Burma, India Theater for three years. She completed eighth grade at Hollenback School, was a 1918 graduate of Wyalusing High School. She was active in school activities including debate and basketball and earned perfect attendance awards. She attended Asbury College, Kentucky. She was a 1930 graduate of Bucknell College, where she played tennis and was on the basketball team and was elected to be the first president of student government. She attended summer schools in Towanda and Mansfield, becoming certified to teach in a country school. She attended Bloomsburg State Normal School, majoring in English and science and earned a Normal Certificate. She taught at the Wyalusing Area School District, including Wyalusing Valley High School, where she taught English, math, and history, and served as a Junior High Student Council Adviser. Sh
