Anna Farris, formerly of Larksville, died Sunday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Luzerne, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie Yenalevitch. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Larksville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam; brothers, Joseph, John, Frank, Edward, William, Thomas and Albert; and sister, Florence.
Surviving are her son, Thomas, Shavertown section of Kingston Township; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Helen Baltruchitis, Duryea.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. today fro~m the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville, with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Larksville. Interment will be in the parish Cemetery, Courtdale. Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until time of service today. Mary S. Giamber, 83, of Allied Terrace, Scranton, formerly of Pittston, died Monday at Community Medical Center, Scranton.
Born Aug. 7, 1917, in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Phillipa (Angelo) Cumbo. She was a member of St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and brothers, Michael, Anthony, Sam and Thomas Cumbo.
Surviving are her son, Sam, Pittston; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jennie Montagna, Pittston; and Carrie Buter Falcone, Cortland, N.Y.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 700 Pittston Blvd., Pittston Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church. Robert W. Heck Sr., 67, of Waller Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Sunday at Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.Born June 17, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Basler) Heck. He was a 1951 graduate of GAR Memorial High School. He was a truck driver for the Sanitary Laundry, Wilkes-Barre. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre, and Catholic Knights of St. George, Branch 75.

Mary Kanarekiewicz, 84, formerly of the Glen Lyon section of Newport Township and Hazleton, died Friday at Carpenter Care Center, Tunkhannock, where she was a resident.
Born July 28, 1916, in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Nette (Skivinsky) Kanarekiewicz.
Surviving is her sister, Agnes Barone, Seaside Heights, N.J.
Private funeral services were conducted Monday. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the McLaughlin Funeral Service.

Manoski, 83, of Steve Street, Hanover Green section of Hanover Township, died Monday at the Inpatient Unit of Hospice Community Care, Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.Born April 16, 1917, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Kuderski. She attended Marymount School. She worked for the Penn Tobacco Co., Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, Buttonwood section of Hanover Township, and was a founding member of its Confraternity of the Christian Mothers Society.

Emily McIntire, 83, of Blue Elder Drive, Mountaintop, died Monday at Davis Manor, Mountaintop.
Born in Chalfont, she was a daughter of the late Susan and Stefan Pavlovic. She was a graduate of Union High School, Turtle Creek. She was a secretary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin H.
Surviving are her sons, Daniel D., Mountaintop, with whom she resided; Martin G., Mount Laurel, N.J.; David, Yorktown, Va.; seven grandchildren; and sisters, Susann Bauder, Monroeville; and Marge Malinowski, St. Augustine, Fla.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Christ Lutheran Church, Forest Hills. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, North Versailles. John F. Mihalchik, 83, of Nicholson Street, Wilkes-Barre Township, died Sunday at the Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit of Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born June 30, 1917, in Wilkes-Barre Township, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Yencha) Mihalchik. He attended Wilkes-Barre Township High School. He was a miner for the Glen Alden Coal Co. in the Huber Colliery, Ashley. He was a member of the Civil Conservation Corps as a cook, and member of Holy Rosary Church, Newport Street, Hanover Township and Ashley.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Andy, Frank and Michael.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former Veronica Klauss; daughters, Marion Paul, Wilkes-Barre; and Debbie Turinski, Laurel Run; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, George, Ashley; and sisters, Mildred Rosencranccq, Marshall, Texas; and Mary Beradini, Iowa.

Metro G. Postupak, 89, of Bethlehem, died Monday at Manorcare Health Services 1, Bethlehem.
Born June 17, 1911, in McAdoo, he was the son of the late George and Anastasia (Sukena) Postupak. He was a brakeman at the P.B.&E. Railroad at Bethlehem Steel Co. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of the Byzantine Rite, Bethlehem.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; brothers, Nicholas, Sylvester and Michael; and sisters, Anna Karkutski and Elizabeth Palak.
Surviving are his sons, Robert, Bethlehem; and Larry, Hamburg; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Julia Makstutis, Levittown; and Josephine Watson, Everson, Wash.
Panachida will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Connell Funeral Home Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, with a Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. at SS. Gerald D. Vaxmonsky, 63, of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., died Nov. 3 at home.
Born in the Port Griffith section of Jenkins Township, he was the son of the late Andrew and Sophie Vaxmonsky. He was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Maria "Anita"; sons, Andy and Jerry, both of Florida; daughter, Kimberly, Florida; six grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Griglock, Old Forge; and Lucy Gelatka, Pittston; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at Ascension Catholic Church, Melbourne, Fla. Funeral services and interment were conducted by the Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, Melbourne.

She was the daughter of the late Asa and Myrtle (Payne) Hallmon.
Surviving are her children, Shawn, Toni Phillips, Sheldon and Cheryl, all of Owego; four grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Ryan, Gladys Taylor and Laureen Hallmon, all of Wilkes-Barre; and several nieces and nephews.

Alice Antonchick, of Wyoming Avenue, Exeter, formerly of New Jersey, died Friday at Manorcare Health Services, Kingston.
Born June 10, 1917, in West Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Sharksnus) Alksninus. She attended Exeter High School. She was a licensed practical nurse at Children's Hospital, Peapack, N.J., and worked at Hoyt Nursing Home, Scranton. She was a member of St. Casimir's Church, Pittston.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Menavich; second husband, Stephen Antonchick; brothers, John and Vincent Alksninus; and sister, Anna Lipka.
Surviving are her daughter, Virginia Degilio, Exeter; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.

Alfred J. Beccaloni, 77, of Old Forge, died Friday at Mercy Hospital, Scranton.
Born June 28, 1923, in Old Forge, he was a son of the late Enrico and Zelinda (Isopi) Beccaloni. He attended the Old Forge schools. He was a coal miner, worked for several coal companies in the area and the Chamberlain Corp., and was a heavy duty welder for Sullivan Trial Manufacturing Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving as a motor machinist's mate third class in the South Pacific. He received the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and received NYA Vocational training from July 8, 1940 to Dec. 5, 1940. He was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Old Forge, and Giovanile Maderna Society.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Mario, Americo, Nello and Peter; and sister, Catherine Andreoni.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, the former Leona Narogovich; sons, Fred, Jr. and Gary, both of Old Forge; and Richard, Clarks Summit; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 N. Main St., Old Forge, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Ida (Mercadante) Rodano. She was a 1951 graduate of GAR High School. She was a cafeteria aid for the Wilkes-Barre Area School District. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Seeders; and brother, Joseph Jr.
Surviving are her husband, Charles; nieces and nephews.

(Roberts) Galterio, 81, of East Dennis, Mass., formerly of Pelham, N.Y., and Chester, N.Y., died Thursday at her home.Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Margaret (Challis) Roberts. She was a 1941 graduate of Skidmore College, with a degree in physical education and received her master's degree from the State University of New York, New Paltz, N.Y. She taught at Northfield School for Girls, Northfield, Mass., and in Harrison, N.Y., taught physical education, kindergarten and first grade at the Pleasant Ridge School and the Harrison Avenue School. She was a member of the Rye Presbyterian Church, Port Chester, N.Y., taught Sunday school there, was active with the Girl Scouts in the area, and was a member of Dennis Union Church, East Dennis.

Born in Luzerne, he was a son of the late John and Elizabeth (Roberts) Hoffman. He was a 1949 graduate of West Wyoming High School. He co-owned and operated The Hoffman Brothers Construction Co. and worked for the Bechtel Power Corp. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He attended Shoemaker United Methodist Church, West Wyoming, and was a member of Carpenters Union Local 514.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Lillian Pearn; daughter, Barbara Kryger, Kingston; son, Robert S., Jr., Exeter Township; four grandchildren; brothers, John and Donald, both of Exeter Township; sisters, Emma Ragugini, Wyoming; and Betty Buchman, Trucksville section of Kingston Township; nieces and nephews.

He was a 1932 graduate of the former S & S Memorial High School, Wilkes-Barre. He was a manager of Ace Dupont Cleaners, Wilkes-Barre, and worked at Owens Illinois. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Maternity, Wilkes-Barre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Tillie Page; brothers, Adam and Frank; and sisters, Mary Moss and Bertha McDaniels.
Surviving are his son, Gerald, Wilkes-Barre; daughter, Arlene Gola, Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Jennie Lalus and Nellie Plantamura, both of Wilkes-Barre; and Anne Remington, Tunkhannock; and several nieces and nephews.

Born July 22, 1929, in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Lenio) Strumski. She was a graduate of New Brunswick High School, New Brunswick, N.J. She worked in the quality control department of RCA, Mountaintop. She was a member of Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Drums.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J.
Surviving are her sons, Wayne, Gary and Richard, all of Drums; four grandsons; and brother, Gerald Strumski, Wilkes-Barre.

He was a machinist at Carborundum Co., Niagara Falls. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jenny; and son, Jan.
Surviving are his second wife, Betty; sons, Anthony, Jr., John, Peter, Billy and Carl, all of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; Bobby, Watertown, N.Y.; and Tommy, Bradenton, Fla.; daughters, Mary Bryan, Niagara Falls; Janet McNamara and Carol Gillenwater, both of Bradenton, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Levy, Wilkes-Barre; and brother, Peter, Petaluma, Calif.
A Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday at the Griffith-Cline Funeral Home Manasota Chapel, 1221 53rd Ave. East, Bradenton, Fla. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
