Lottie G. Kamarauskas, 74, of RR 1, Laceyville, West Auburn, died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital, Scranton.
Born Aug. 6, 1926, in Dupont, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine (Griscavage) Boyanowski. She was a 1945 graduate of Laceyville High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of West Auburn Baptist Church, its Ladies Bible Study Group and South Auburn Grange 1188. She was a Democratic committeewoman of Auburn Township and secretary for the Democratic Executive Committee, Susquehanna County.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Albert; daughters, Nancy Parsons, West Auburn; Linda Taylor, Montrose; Patricia Mowry and Debbie Tyler, both of South Auburn; Judy Fitch, Springville; Diane Baker, Meshoppen; and Susan Bolles, Wyalusing; 24 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward Boyanowski, Doolittle Hill; John Boyanowski, Camptown; Stephen Boyanowski, Weatherford, Texas; Donald Boyanowski, Clarence, Mo.; Arthur Boyanowski, Lake Carey; and Ronald Boyanowski, Mansfield; sisters, Helen Stuart, Erie; and Barbara Marabell, Tunkhannock; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the West Auburn Baptist Church, with the Rev. Tim Barnett and the Rev. Roland Romig officiating. Interment will be in Jersey Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. this evening at the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main Street, Laceyville. James Kelly, of Elizabeth Street, Pittston, formerly of Luzerne and Exeter, died Monday at home.
Born in Kingston, he was a son of Jean (Snyder) Raskwicz, Luzerne, and the late J. Kelly. He was a graduate of West Side Area Vocational-Technical School. He worked for the U.S. Generators Northampton Fuel Supply, Hanover Township. He was a member of St. Rocco Church, Pittston.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jolene Marie Carol Kelly.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, the former Lisa E. Sabatelli; daughters, Jennifer Lynn and Lindsey Beth, both at home; brothers, John, San Antonio; Ronald, South Carolina; Kenneth Prince, Lake Silkworth; and Kevin Prince, Benton; and sisters, Jean Marie Werley, Schnecksville, Denise Kelly, Wilkes-Barre; and Michelle McGee, Larksville.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Metcalfe & Shaver Funeral Home, Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with the Rev. Joseph D. Sibilano officiating. Interment will be in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Larksville. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Rocco Church, Pittston.

Daniel William Koch, 76, of Hemet, Calif., died Nov. 24, in Hemet.
He was born in Wyoming. He was the director of the Logistics Support Group for the F.A.-18 Program, Northrop-Grummon Corp. He served in the United States Navy Submarine Service, during World War II. He was a member of the crew of the USS Finback when they rescued former president, George Bush, then Lieutenant Bush at sea. He was recognized by President Bush with a letter of appreciation. He also served aboard the USS Cutless and the USS Tusk. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 468, Wyoming, and the Hemet United Methodist Church, and member and deacon of the First Baptist Church, Wyoming.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Dorine Weaver; daughter, Sharon Lee Koch, Newport Beach, Calif.; twin brother, David, Vestal, N.Y.; and brother, John, Missoula, Mont.
Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 12 at the Riverside National Cemetery, California, and Dec. 15 at the Hemet United Methodist Church, 530 S. Buena Vista St., Hemet, Calif. Interment will be in the Riverside National Cemetery. A local memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Jan. 6 at the Centermoreland United Methodist Church, Centermoreland. Arrangements are by the Inland Memorial Cremation and Burial, Hemet.

Catherine Kolander, formerly of Avoca, died Wednesday at Holiday Manor, Scranton, where she was a resident for the last three years.
Born in Avoca, she was a daughter of the late Jon and Agatha (Posadske) Wolch. She attended Avoca schools. She worked at the Duryea Silk Mill. She was a member of the Avoca and Pittston Senior Citizens and SS. Peter & Paul Church, Avoca.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; sisters, Mary Matechak and Stella Kobylus; and brothers, Edward, Michael and Jos~eph.
Surviving are her son, Walter, Wyoming; daughter Dolores Evans, Endicott, N.Y.; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Drouse, Avoca; brother, Frank Vols, Duryea; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Ruane & Regan Funeral Home, 1308 Grove St., Avoca, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Church. Interment will be in the parish Cemetery, Moosic. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Gerald E. Mulligan, 67, of Marietta, Ga., formerly of the East End section of Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday at A.G. Rhodes Nursing Home, Marietta.
Born Aug. 6, 1933, in the East End section of Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of late Thomas P. and Brigid F. (Boyle) Mulligan. He was a 1948 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School. He was a pipefitter, worked in construction and for the Berwick Power Plant. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, receiving an honorable discharge. He was a member of the Pipefitters Union 524, Scranton.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Major Thomas F. and Bernard M.
Surviving are his former wife, Suzanne; daughters, Anne Marie Houseknecht, Plains Township; and Rose Anne Mulligan, Marietta; sister, Maureen Hoffman, Aldan; and brother, Joseph, Mountaintop.
A Committal Service will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Born Nov. 21, 1927, in Clarks Green, she was the daughter of the late Lester S. and Lena (Bunnell) Stang.
Surviving are her brother, Richard, Meshoppen, one niece and two nephews.

John J. Waters, Lt. Col. U.S. Air Force, retired, of Duryea, and Lake Winola, died Wednesday at his home.
Born in Duryea, he was a son of the late John and Anna (Burns) Waters. He was a graduate of Duryea High School and St. Thomas College, now the University of Scranton. He served 26 1/2 years in the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Medical Service Core as a hospital administrator. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War. His decorations and awards include a Bronze Star Medal, Distinguished Unit Citation Emblem, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal, American Defense Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award, Philippine Liberations Ribbon, Philippine Presidential Unit Citation, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, United Nations Service Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal at retirement. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea, vice president of its Holy Name Society, president and life member of the Pocono Mountain Chapter of the Retired Officer Association, service officer of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1227, Duryea, American Legion Post 585, Duryea, Governors Council on Military Affairs and life member of the Medical Service Core Association Msc.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Elizabeth Cannon; brother, William; and sister, Harriet Tigue.
Surviving are his daughters, Joan, at home; and Elizabeth Minchak, Duryea; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main St., Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Jeanne L. Wolfe, 80, of Westlake, Ohio, formerly of West Wyoming and North Goodwin and North Dawes avenues, Kingston, died Tuesday at her home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late James and Bertha (Gerlach) Rohme. She was a 1938 graduate of GAR High School, Wilkes-Barre. She was associated with her family in the operation of Rohme's Grocery Store, Wilkes-Barre, and was the retail manager for Garrahan Farms, Edwardsville. She was a member of the former St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre, now Good Shepherd Lutheran church, member of its altar guild, choir and project circle group and was a Sunday school teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; brother, James Rohme; and sisters, Irene Tucker and Doris Kreidler.
Surviving are her son, Ronald J., Bay Village, Ohio; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, East South and South Main streets, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Peter D. Kuritz officiating. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Justine (Ostapiw) Elko. She was a seamstress in the local dress factories in Wyoming Valley. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; and brothers, John, Peter and Michael Elko.
Surviving are her brother, Jacob Elko, Wilkes-Barre; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home Inc., 136 Maffett St., Plains Township, with a Divine Liturgy at SS. Hugo Lindner Jr., 87, of RR 1, Falls, died Wednesday at the Tyler Memorial Hospital, Tunkhannock.
Born Sept. 15, 1913, in Lansing, Mich., he was the son of the late Hugo, Sr., and Mary (Petersen) Lindner. He was a 1937 graduate of Barberton High School, Barberton, Ohio, and attended Ohio State University and Valparaiso University. He worked for Procter & Gamble, Mehoopany. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 36th Texas Infantry division as a master sergeant. He earned Service Stars for seeing action Italy, France and Germany and a Bronze Arrow for the landing in Southern France. He was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, West Pittston, where he was a Sunday school teacher, elder, treasurer and member of its governing board.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Gordon; and one grandchild, Anthony Mascus.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, the former Marie (Hudson) Young; sons, Frank Young, Fred and Henry Lindner, all of Falls; and Ryadh, Saudi Arabia; Hugo, III, Chesterton, Ind.; and Philip, Pittsburgh; daughters, Mary Clapper, Meshoppen; and Leone Seigrist, Mountaintop; 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Born in the Wanamie section of Newport Township, he was a son of the late Louis and Magelena (Svetlauskas) Lenkauskas. He was a railway postal clerk. He was U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Wilkes-Barre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mary Vaniga; brother, Michael; sister, Victoria Jennings.
Surviving are his daughter, Rose, Hilldale; and son, Joseph, Richmond, Va.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday from the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Requiem Service at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Cathedral. Theodore Pytell, 67, of Center Street, Pittston, died Wednesday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.Born Nov. 27, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late John and Caroline (Storzek) Pytell. He was a 1951 graduate of GAR High School. He was a security guard for Century Security, Wilkes-Barre. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving with the Military Police in Hawaii.

Merico Sabatini, 87, of Italy Street, Mocanaqua, died Thursday at the Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre, where he was a resident for the last week.
Born March 25, 1913, in Bernice, he was a son of the late Adam and Nancy (Pasquini) Sabatini. He worked in the area mines and for the American Car & Foundry Plant and Berwick Forge & Fabricating. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Shickshinny, Polish Falcons Club, Sportsman Club and the former Italian Club, all of Mocanaqua, and social member of the Mocanaqua Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Secondcq; and sisters, Jenny Cavallini and Lena Nonemaker.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former Josephine Stavetski; sons, Donald, Laurel, Md.; and Eugene, Coatesville; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and brother, Indo, Berwick.

Arthur Scholnick, 83, of Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort, died Wednesday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born May 26, 1917, in Lynn, Mass., he was a son of the late Lewis and Esther (Pappas) Scholnick. He was a carpenter and member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Local 926 Union, N.Y. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was in Hawaii at the time of the Pearl Harbor Attack. He received the Purple Heart, American Defense and Victory Service Medal with a Clasp and Bronze Star, the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Philippines Liberation Ribbon with two Bronze Stars. He was a member of Temple B'nai B'rith, Jewish War Veterans and the Jewish Community Center.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sylvia Kaplan; daughters, Barbara Sherry, Mountaintop; Karen Lau, Kingston; Fran Cupano, Swoyersville; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Robert, Arnold and Nathan, all of Florida; sister, Jeanne Starr, Florida; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at noon Friday at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Bernard Zlotowitz officiating. Interment will be in B'nai B'rith Cemetery, Hanover Township. Shiva will be observed in the home of his daughter, Karen Lau, 118 N. Thomas Ave., Kingston, 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
