Stanley J. Serino, of RD 1, Harding section of Exeter Township, formerly of Pittston, died Monday at his home.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of Anna Davis, Pittston, and the late Stanley Serino. He was a graduate of Pittston High School. He worked for the Tobyhanna Army Depot. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer, Harding.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina.
Surviving are his daughter, Christine Dariano, Taneytown, Md.; brothers, John, Harding; and Albert, Wilkes-Barre; sisters, Mary Ann Persall, California; Beatrice Montagna, Pittston; Patricia Kreseski and Ann Marie Kowalczyk, both of Harding; Eva Schifano, Pittston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday from the Adonizio Funeral Home Inc., 251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Redeemer. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Harding. The viewing will be from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening.

Helen (Grego) Sivilich, 73, formerly of Hanover Township, died Wednesday at the Roosevelt Care Center, Edison, N.J.
Born Feb. 6, 1927, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Stella (Bialek) Grego. She was a graduate of Hanover High School. She was a seamstress in the Wyoming Valley garment industry. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church, South River, N.J., and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank Grego; and sister, Sophie Cavanough.
Surviving are her sons, Daniel, Freehold, N.J.; and Michael, Old Bridge, N.J.; daughter, Patricia Woods, Old Bridge; four grandchildren; sisters, Jennie Regalis, Plymouth; and Valerie Medvec, Lyndwood, Hanover Township; brothers, Stanley, Rockaway, N.J.; Walter, Ashley; and Joseph, Dover, N.J.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in St. Mary's Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth Township. Arrangements are by the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth.

Ruth Terragnoli, of Buffalo, N.Y., died Tuesday at the Hospice Unit of Sister Hospital, Buffalo.Born in Plains Township, she was a daughter of the late Marino and Catherine (Fischi) Santarelli. She was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School. She worked for the Buffalo School District.

Evelyn D. Weaver, 90, formerly of South Prospect Street, N~anticoke, died Dec. 27 in Rochester, N.Y.Born in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Grant J. and Marie (Davis) Powell. She attended Nanticoke schools and was a graduate of the Nanticoke High School. She was a clerk and bookkeeper for the S.S. Kresge Co., Nanticoke. She and her husband, Raymond "Bud," who preceded her in death, operated the floral shop on Main Street, Nanticoke. She was a member of the Nebo Baptist Church.

Helen Labecki Yanchus, 85, of City Heights Apartments, North Sherman Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born Oct. 1, 1915, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Demetrius and Pauline (Mischak) Yedenak. She attended schools in the Wilkes-Barre public school system. She was a seamstress in the Wyoming Valley garment industry. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Cathedral and International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Anthony Labecki; second husband, Charles Yanchus; son, Gerald Labecki; brothers, John, Michael and Demetrius Yedenak; and sisters, Anna Zdonczyk and Mary Yedenak.
Surviving are her sister, Julia Babuscak, Wilkes-Barre; one granddaughter, two great-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
Requiem services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home Inc., 136 Maffett St., Plains Township. Archpriest Joseph Martin will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Pringle. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until service time Friday.

Genevieve (Grazaitis) Ondish, of Kelly Street, Luzerne, died Wednesday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.Born in Luzerne, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica (Dryzis) Grazaitis. She was a graduate of Luzerne High School. She worked at Consolidated Cigar Co., West Pittston. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Luzerne, life member of its Altar and Rosary Society and charter member of Pennsylvania Quilters.

Miriam H. Montgomery, 91, of Middletown, Conn., formerly of Wilkes-Barre and Laurel Run, died Wednesday at Middlesex Memorial Hospital, Middletown.
Born Feb. 9, 1909, in Centerport, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Wentz) Henne. She was a graduate of Lebanon High School and the Hahnaman School of Nursing, Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles C.; and brother, Russell.
Surviving are her son, Charles C., Jr., Portland, Conn.; two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy Keiter, New Jersey.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from the Frederick & Snowdon Funeral Home, 617 Carey Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Charles Grube officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Monday. ose Biscontini, of East Broad Street, Nanticoke, died Thursday in Mercy Special Care Hospital, Nanticoke.~~~
She was born in Dupont, daughter of the late Angelo and Frances Perri (Adams) Adamo, and was a 1936 graduate of Pittston High School. Mrs. Biscontini was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Nanticoke, and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Nanticoke Lions' Club, and a charter member of the women's auxiliary of the Athletic Club of Nanticoke (ACON).
Her husband of 55 years, Gelso, died in 1997. Infant son, Daniel; brothers, Louis, Carmen, Nicholas and Joseph; and sisters, Caroline Rodola and Mary Kosnoski also preceded her in death.
Surviving are sons, Joseph, Lansdowne; and Robert, Hanover Township; daughter-in-law, Alice; and grandchildren, Andrew, Katie and Eric, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:15 a.m. from Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, East Green Street, Nanticoke. The Rev. William J.P. Langan will officiate. Interment will be in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Sunday, from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Rev. William J.P. Langan will conduct a Wake Service at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Gelso and Rose Biscontini Memorial Scholarship Fund, 14 President Road, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., 18702. Edward M. Sempa, 82, of Lackawaxen, formerly of Avoca, died Wednesday at his home.
Born Oct. 4, 1918, in Avoca, he was a son of the late John and Catherine (Lukasik) Sempa. He was a graduate of Avoca High School. He worked for the Victaulic Co., New Jersey. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mercedes M. (Orlosky) Sempa; son, Daniel J.; and brothers, John and Frank.
Surviving are his daughter, Mary Ann Schnyderite, South~ Plainfield, N.J.; two grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday from the Kniffen O'Malley Funeral Home, 728 Main St., Avoca., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Duryea. Benjamin P. Kaczynowski

Benjamin P. Kaczynowski, of Short Street, Edwardsville, died Wednesday at his home.
Born in Edwardsville, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Cecelia (Kmieciak) Kaczynowski. He was a 1940 graduate of Edwardsville High School. He was a supervisor of meter readers and collectors for Pennsylvania Gas and Water Co., Wilkes-Barre Division. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant with the 229th Field Artillery in Europe and received a Purple Heart for wounds received in battle. He was a member of St. Hedwig's Church, Kingston, Six County Fireman's Association, Edwardsville American Legion Post 797, Veterans of Foreign Wars Anthracite Post 283, Kingston, and the Amvets of Hanover Township. He was elected to two terms of office as councilman in Edwardsville and served three terms as mayor of Edwardsville.
Surviving are his sister, Connie Kondrak, with whom he resided; brothers, Frank Kotch, Edwardsville; and Richard Kotch, Butler Township; nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Hedwig's Church. Marian Isaac-Lesser, 84, of Forest Road, Mountaintop, formerly of Williamsport and Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday at Hospice Community Care, Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Dec. 6, 1916, in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late Harry C. and Edna (Steckroth) Hill. She was a 1934 graduate of Hazleton High School. She taught nursery school in Williamsport and was a former buyer for Deisroth Department Store, Hazleton. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre, its Sunday school teacher and youth group leader and member of the Come Double Club. She was active in volunteer work with the Girl Scouts and Parent-Teachers Association groups.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter E. Isaac; grandson, Phillip John Seroska Jr.; and sister, Doris Will.
Surviving are her second husband of 17 years, Rowland H. Lesser, Milton; daughter, Judith "Judy" Isaac-Seroska, Mountaintop; two granddaughters, one niece and one nephew.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Academy and South River Streets, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Robert F. Sauers officiating. Born May 21, 1913, in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late John and Minnie (Davies) Boyes. She was a 1931 graduate of Nanticoke High School and 1934 graduate of the Wyoming Valley Homeopathic Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse. She was a member of the Maple Grove United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband,~ Anthony C., Sr.; brother, William Boyes; and sisters, Ellen Saunders, Minnie Schreiner and Edith Busch.
Sur~viving are her son, Anthony C., Jr., Pikes Creek; daughters, Ruthanne Porter, Perkasie; and Lois Scavone, Pikes Creek; seven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; and brother, Brig. Gen. John H. Boyes, retired, Chester, Va.
