Florence Marie (Sharaba) Biros, 69, of Wright Township, died Sunday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born Nov. 29, 1931, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Filicko) Sharaba.
She was a graduate of Coughlin High School.
She was a workers compensation assistant for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor, Wilkes-Barre.
She was a member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, Mountaintop.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J.; and sister, Rita Shurmanek.
Surviving are her daughters, Donna Biros Kuzminski, Edwardsville; and Bonnie Biros, at home; son, John J. II, Mountaintop; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Joseph Sharaba, Plains Township; and sister, Eleanor T. Banyar, Swoyersville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Jude's Church, with the Rev. Paul M. Mullen officiating.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler Township.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop.

Irene Loretta (Lentz) Guter, 98, of Big Woods, Greentown, died Dec. 29 at her home.
Born in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Agnes (Today) Lentz.
She worked as a clerk in various department stores.
Surviving are her son, Michael Koons, Greentown; one grandson; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at noon Jan. 14 at the Arthur J. Frey Funeral Home, Route 191, Village of LaAnna, South Sterling, with the Rev. Dean Evans officiating.

William Nevin Gerber, 76, of Union Dale, formerly of Clarks Green, died Saturday in the Hospice Unit, Mercy Hospital, Scranton.
Born June 13, 1924, in Trenton, N.J., he was a son of the late William Earl and Rose (Smith) Gerber.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater.
He was a plant manager for American Brands Inc., Mountaintop, and a real estate developer in Susquehanna County.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jane Fey.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, the former Constance Margalus; son, W. Nevin Gerber, Waverly; daughters, Helen McDonald, Mountaintop; and Jane Matthews, Union Dale; sister, Helen Gold, Lakehurst, N.J.; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the start of Mass Tuesday at the church.

Stella M. (Rinehimer) Grout, 92, formerly of Nanticoke Towers, Nanticoke, died Sunday at the Birchwood Nursing Center, Nanticoke.
Born Nov. 1, 1908, in Dorrance, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Ida Jane (Fischer) Rinehimer.
She worked for the Plymouth Dress Co., Nanticoke.
She was a member of St. Francis Church, Nanticoke, and its Altar and Rosary Society, the Senior Citizens Club and the Secret Pal Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D.; daughter, Lois Smith; one granddaughter; brothers, Fred, Wilbur, Samuel and Roy; and sister, Elizabeth.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home, 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Francis Church.
Interment will be in Stairville Cemetery, Dorrance Township.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Rosary recitation will be at 7:45 p.m. by the Rev. William J.P. Langan and the St. Francis Church Altar and Rosary Society.

Emma Marie (Sanderson) Logan, 90, of Plains Township, died Sunday at Wesley Village, Jenkins Township.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late James and Emma (Groth) Sanderson.
She was a 1928 graduate of Coughlin High School.
She was a registered nurse, receiving her training at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a member of the Plains United Methodist Church, the Mary and Martha Circle of its United Methodist Women, the Marian Wall Class of its Sunday school, and the Falls Senior Citizens. She was a volunteer with the Luzerne County Association for the Blind, Wesley Village and the Regional Blood Bank of the American Red Cross.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert E.; son, Russell G.; and brother, James Sanderson.
Surviving are her daughter, Ruth Hotchkiss, Wilkes-Barre; son, Robert J., Old Forge; sisters, Mildred Walison, Plains Township; and Eleanor M. Chippel and Ruth M. Lipiec, both of Wilkes-Barre; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the H. Merritt Hughes Funeral Home Inc., 451 N. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. David Gallick of Bethany Children's Home, Womelsdorf, officiating.
Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Harding.

Doris (Jones) Neyhard, 75, of Forty Fort, formerly of the East End and North End, Wilkes-Barre, died Sunday in the Inpatient Unit, Hospice Care of the VNA, Heritage House, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Louise (Miller) Jones.
She was a 1943 graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and a graduate of the Wyoming Seminary Dean School of Business, Kingston.
She was chief telephone operator for the Wilkes-Barre City School District, and for the Valley Crest Nursing Home, Plains Township.
She was a member of the East End Primitive Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre, and a former member of Calvary and Holy Cross Episcopal Churches, Wilkes-Barre, Grace Episcopal Church, Kingston, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Robert R. Neyhard Sr.
Surviving are her sons, Robert R. Jr., Forty Fort; Jack A., Mechanicsburg; and Richard W., Nanticoke; sisters, Mary Wargo and Louise Wiechert, both of Wilkes-Barre; and Mabel Parker, Tampa, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ernest E. Patella, 74, of Fairview Township, died Saturday at Hospice Community Care, Mercy Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
Born Oct. 2, 1926, in Jersey City, N.J., he was a son of the late Ernest and Caroline (Rotto) Patella.
He was a graduate of St. Peter's College, Jersey City, Newark College of Engineering and the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, N.J.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant in the 7th Division Infantry in the Pacific Theater and the Korean occupation troops.
He was an engineer for RCA Corp. at various locations, including Mountaintop, and a former Fairview Township supervisor.
He was a member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, Mountaintop, a committee member of the United Way, and the first president of Step-By-Step.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Emma Gialorenzo; and brother, Carmen.
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Kappes; sons, Ernest, Denver, Colo.; and Brian, Los Angeles.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountaintop, with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Jude's Church.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Butler Township.

Born Jan. 7, 1921, in Tunkhannock, she was a 1939 graduate of Tunkhannock High School.
She worked for the General Cigar Co., Ransom Nursing Home and Valley Crest Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J.; and brother, Walter Finney.
Surviving are her sons, Kenneth, Wilkes-Barre; and Ronald, California; daughter, Beverly Smith, Wilkes-Barre; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Dean Finney, New York; sisters, Bertha Wintermute, Meshoppen; and Nellie Finney, Tunkhannock; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 p.m. today at the McLaughlin Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Anne Marie Acacio officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Bethel Cemetery, Jessup.

Born Oct. 10, 1904, in Shickshinny, she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Kromer) Blackburn.
She worked for Lady Esther Lingerie, Berwick.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Shickshinny, where she was church secretary.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Leonard McIntyre, Melvin Hughes and Thomas Triplett; daughter, Mary McIntyre; sister, Leah Belles; and brothers, James, Carl and Ray Blackburn.
Surviving are her son, Joseph H. Triplett, Shickshinny; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur Blackburn, Shickshinny; and sister, Myrtle Killian, Reyburn.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 77 N. Main St., Shickshinny, with the Rev. David Renninger, her pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Sorber Cemetery, Reyburn.
