Jack A. Price, 77, of Milton, formerly of Williamsport, died at 12:05 a.m. April 1, 2002 at Manor Care North.
He is marriage to Sally R. Stern; they were marriage Oct. 4, 1945.
He was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Jersey City, NJ, a son of the late Abraham and Mary Curnkey Price. He graduated from high school in New York City.
He owned and operated Price’s Recycling Company in Milton for 20 years until 2000.
He was a member of the congregation Ohev Sholom, the Milton Elks and various scrap associations.
He enjoyed golfing and crafts.
He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps; he served from 1942-1945 in the South Pacific Theater.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary P. and John Mincemoyer of Picture Rocks; two grandchildren, Jon M. Miller of Orlando, FL and Shahnee M. Holmes of Muncy and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a twin brother, Wally, in 2001.

In keeping with Jewish tradition, there will be no visitation or flowers. The service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, with his spiritual leader, Rabbi Mac Portal, officiating. Burial will be at the Ohev Sholom Cemetery.
Hayes C. Probst
Hayes C. Probst, 77, of Lock Haven, died March 31, 2002, at the Williamsport Hospital ICU Unit.
Survivors include one daughter, Maureen Hughes of Enos Falls, VT; one brother, Richard Probst of Lock Haven and one sister, Myra Weber of the Coudersport Pike.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
Florence M. Robb
Florence M. Robb, 76, of Danville, formerly of Exchange, died Sunday, March 31, 2002. Her husband, John Robb, died Aug. 24.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Washingtonville Lutheran Church. Friends may call at Brooks Funeral Home, Turbotville, Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
Robert L. Shaffer Sr.
Robert L. Shaffer Sr., 64, of 79 Ivy Lane, Linden, died March 30, 2002, at the Jersey Shore Hospital.
He was born July 20, 1937, in Williamsport, the son of Edward C. Shaffer Sr. and Ida Mary Barlet.
Mr. Shaffer had been employed for 27 years by Brodart, also the James V. Brown Library, the former Fidelity National Bank and as a school bus driver.
He attended the former Williamsport Technical Institute and was a graduate of the MTA Trucking School.
He was an avid stamp collector.
He served in Co. K 109th Infantry of the National Guard from 1954-1955 and from 1955-1958 in the U.S. Army.
He and his wife, the former Norma Ruth Sykes, observed their 37th wedding anniversary May 16.
He is also survived by two sons, Robert L. Jr. of Linden and Charles P.L. of Mercer; a daughter, Mary R. Guinter of Jersey Shore; a step-daughter, Crystal L. Monnett of Bowling Green, OH; four grandchildren, James M. Eck, Harold E. Guinter III, Steven R. Guinter and Sapphire M. Shaffer; a great-grandson and a sister, Nancy J. Casale of Linden.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward C. Shaffer, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., with Rev. Thomas Fetterolf, pastor of Salladasburg United Methodist charge, officiating.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to defray final expenses.
Jonathan Scott Shannon
Jonathan Scott Shannon, 14 day old infant son of Michelle A. Shannon, died Saturday, March 30, 2002, at Geisinger Medical Center.
He is survived by his mother of 1555 W. Southern Ave., South Williamsport; a brother, Kasey Foust at home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Shannon of Montoursville; maternal great-grandparents, Rose Newcomer of Hughesville, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hill and Edward Gair, all of Montoursville; maternal great-great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Eck of Oval and Stella Gair of Montoursville and two aunts, Judy and Amanda Shannon.
There will be a graveside service Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Montoursville Cemetery.

Sylvester Sleath
Sylvester Sleath, 67, of Linden, died Saturday, March 30, 2002.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Sleath; mother, Mabel McCracken, Watsontown; one sister, Matrona Tombleson, New Jersey; two brothers, Leo Sheatler, Watsontown and Emerson Schoch, Williamsport; two sons, Glenn Matlosz, Cogan Station and Andy Sheatler, Bloomsburg and four daughters, Reba Winders, Lancaster, Loretta Smith, Trout Run, Tammy Demarco, Jersey Shore and Betty Jo Sleath, New Jersey.
Services were held at First Southern Baptist Church.
Helen Louise Teasley
Helen Louise Teasley, 89, formerly of the Rich Manor, Woolrich, died April 1, 2002, at the Susque View Home, Lock Haven.
She was predeceased by her husband, William C. Teasley.
Survivors include one son, George W. Teasley; two daughters, Patricia C. Beury and Shirley G. Myers; a brother, Dean F. Bryon and a sister, Geraldine Clymer.
A private graveside service will be announced later by Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, Lock Haven.
