Katherine M. Conroy, 80, a former Loyalsock Township resident, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at her home in Hilton Head Island, S.C. Her husband, James F. Conroy, died in 1995. She and her husband owned Homewood Development Corp., which built townhouses in Loyalsock Township between 1982 and 1996. She was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church from 1952 until 1997. Born Nov. 18, 1920, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of Louis and Josephine Bacino. Surviving are four sons, James F. of Hillsboro, Ore., Robert L. of this city, Michael J. of Key West, Fla., and Patrick T. of Sugar Land, Texas; three daughters, Katherine Moore of Shaker Heights, Ohio, Margaret Palau and Nancy Asche of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; two brothers, Edward Bacino of Flourtown and Victor Bacino of Wildwood, N.J.; nine grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A memorial mass will be held at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, at the convenience of the family. The family will provide the flowers.

Leaves Over 100 Descendants
Grace V. Egli, 94, of 1608 High St., died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, in Williamsport Hospital. Her first husband, Theodore Tressler, and her second husband, Raymond O. Egli Sr., are both deceased. She was a private music teacher. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church and a former member and Sunday School teacher at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Born Sept. 6, 1906, in Renovo, she was a daughter of Clarence and Alice Menne Elliot. Surviving are a son, Theodore W. Tressler of South Williamsport; a daughter, Betty Stockbauer, with whom she lived; 28 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and 37 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Carl and Donald Tressler, and two daughters, Harriet Chapman and Eleanor Burkhart. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Spitler’s, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with the Rev. Theodore L. Cockley officiating. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Eileen M. Hamm, 78, 2601 E. Hills Drive, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Williamsport Home. She and her husband, John F. Hamm, observed their 56th wedding anniversary April 14. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Divine Providence Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, where she was an active volunteer in the church kitchen for several years. She was involved in making and selling crafts and quilts, which she donated for sale at the church’s annual festivals. She was a teacher’s aide at the church. Born Oct. 30, 1922, in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter of Herman and Mabel Eiswerth Eck. Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Ronald Hamm of Elimsport and Jimm Hamm of Kathleen, Ga.; three daughters, Barbara Kline, Jackie Pacacha and Carol Welliver, all of this city; five brothers, James, Alfred and Leonard Eck of this city, Richard Eck of Turbotville, and Edward Eck of Jersey Shore; six sisters, Dorothy Fischer, Peg Bubb, Ruth Hauser, Jane Dincher, Mary Ann Waldman, and Shirley Tripoli all of this city, and Joan Zahn of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and 16 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Hamm and a brother, Larry Eck. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., with the Rev. Stephen McGough officiating. Interment will be in St. Boniface Church Cemetery. Friends may call at Crouse’s, 133 E. Third St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m. The family will provide the flowers.
Donald W. Hock
DANVILLE - Donald W. Hock, 83, of 594 Whitehall Road, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at home. He and his wife, the former Alice Runyan, observed their 54th wedding anniversary July 3. He was a shipping and receiving clerk for Girton Manufacturing until his retirement in 1979. He transported blood for the Red Cross for many years. He was a graduate of Millville High School. A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member and past commander of Millville American Legion Post 564. He was a member of Bloomsburg Moose, Millville Fire Co., the Millville Rod and Gun Club and Iola Gun Club. He spent most of his life in the Millville area. Born Nov. 10. 1917, in Eyersgrove, he was a son of Murrel and Velma Bitler Hock. Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Priscilla Blass at home and JoAnn Brosius of Riverside; and four grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Shingara, and a sister, Minnie Drumm. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Poust-Bunnell’s, Main St., Millville, with the Rev. Alan Acor of Beech Haven United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Elan Memorial Park, Bloomsburg. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Donn F. Jenkins
Donn F. Jenkins, 80, of 2183 Lycoming Creek Road, formerly of Trout Run, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, in Williamsport Hospital, where he was admitted Nov. 23. His wife, the former Mary E. Pittenger, died May 13, 1997. He was retired from the former Marathon Carey-McFall Corp. He was a World War II Army veteran. Born Sept. 17, 1920, in Calvert, he was a son of Harry W. and Nora Redfoot Jenkins. Surviving are nieces and nephews and 26 foster children. A graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Montoursville Cemetery, with the Rev. Theodore L. Cockley officiating. Military rites will be accorded by the Korean War Veterans. There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers. Arrangements are being handled by Spitler’s, 733 Broad St., Montoursville.

Estella B. Martin
LOCK HAVEN - Estella B. Martin, 91, formerly of 201 Woodward Ave., died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in the ManorCare Health Center in Jersey Shore. Her first husband, Raymond Martin, died in 1969 and her second husband, Charles E. King, died in 1991. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jersey Shore. She was a past president of the Jersey Shore Elks ladies auxiliary. Born Jan. 1, 1909, in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter of Nelson and Lizzie Nichols Kissel. Surviving are three daughters, Sarah K. Davidson of Jersey Shore, Joanne M. Griffin of Morven, Ga., and Maureen Fields of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; a sister, Helen K. Brown of Endicott, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Jersey Shore Cemetery, with the Rev. W. Keith Rockwell officiating. There will be no visitation. Dr. Harry E. Taylor
Dr. Harry E. Taylor, 76, of 22 Taylor Drive, Bradford, the father and brother of area residents, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at home. He and his wife, the former Mebane Ross, observed their 51st wedding anniversary June 11. He was an anesthesiologist at Bradford Regional Medical Center for 24 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bradford. He attended Academy High School in Erie, Rochester Junior College and Franklin & Marshall College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in 1945. He graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1949. He served a fellowship in anesthesiology at the Mayo Foundation from 1952 to 1955 and received a degree in anesthesiology from the University of Minnesota. He was a member of the Pennsylvania and American societies of anesthesiologists and the American Medical Association. He was a past president of the Bradford Hospital medical staff and the McKean County Medical Society. He was a former member of the Bradford Hospital board, McKean County Cancer Society and a past president and trustee of the Bradford Landmark Society. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Born Jan. 6, 1924, in Erie, he was a son of Harry S. and Marion Kepler Taylor. Surviving, besides his wife, are four sons, John Edwin of Lebanon, Mark Steward of Wellsboro, Arthur Scott of Erie and James Kepler of Bethel, Vt.; a brother, Dr. Arthur R. Taylor of this city; and 10 grandchildren. The funeral was Sunday in Bradford.
John B. Vicic
John B. Vicic, 80, of 1425 Alvin Ave. died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at home. He and his wife, the former Anna Lazorisak, observed their 44th wedding anniversary June 30. He retired in 1983 from Eureka Paper Box Co. He began working at the age of 14 as a coal miner. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading and yard work. He was a 1937 graduate of Beaverdale High School. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theater, receiving two Bronze Stars. He was a 50 year member of Beaverdale American Legion. Born Dec. 31, 1919, in Lloydell, he was a son of John and Mary Mivec Vicic. Surviving, besides his wife, are a daughter, Regina Vicic of Fairfax, Va.; a sister, Molly LoPresti of Akron, Ohio; and a granddaughter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church at Northway Road and Sheridan Street, with the Rev. Andrew Kurovsky, his pastor, officiating. Friends may call at Kaufman’s, 2101 Northway Road, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A vigil service will be held.
Robert William Wagner
SYLVANIA - Robert William Wagner, 70, of Sylvania, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, in Troy Community Hospital, Troy. He and his wife, the former Marjorie M. Jackson, observed their 53rd wedding anniversary Sept. 22. He retired in 1992 from Paper Magic in Troy after 10 years employment. He was born July 29, 1930, in Blossburg. Surviving, besides his wife, are a son, Danny Wagner of East Troy; two daughters, Debbie Harer of Sylvania and Donna Pasko of Austinville; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A memorial service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Vickery’s, 110 W. Main St., Troy.
John E. Fiorini Jr.
MILDRED - John E. Fiorini Jr., 82, a Mildred native, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2000, in Charleston, S.C. He and his wife, the former Jewel Lang, would have observed their 55th wedding anniversary Dec. 26. Retiring in 1983, he was curriculum advisor of Intermediate Unit 17. Previously, he was principal at Sullivan County High School and taught in district schools. He was a member of St. Frances of Assisi Catholic Church here. He received a degree from Bloomsburg University and a masters degree from Bucknell University. He was president of the Sullivan County Housing Authority for the past 20 years. He was a life member of the Sullivan County Historical Society, past president of the United Methodist Home Auxiliary and the Sullivan Terrace Advisory Board, and a member of the Sullivan County Library Board. He was a past president of the Sullivan County Cancer Society, the Sullivan County Polio Foundation and the Sullivan-Bradford PIAA. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theater and received the Purple Heart. Born June 5, 1918, he was a son of John and Giordana Fiorini. Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, John and Mark Fiorini; two daughters, Mary Kimmins and Anne Battin; and six grandchildren, Cara, John Carl and Michael Fiorini, William Kimmins, and Nicholas and Catherine Fiorini. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Patrick McLaughlin officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Local arrangements are being handled by McHenry’s, 119 Carpenter St., Dushore.

Hunting Accident Victim
LOPEZ - Joseph L. McGee II, 51, of Pottstown, the owner of a hunting cabin here, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, from injuries suffered in a hunting accident in Colley Township, Sullivan County. He and his wife, the former Diana Dillio, observed their 29th wedding anniversary June 19. A master electrician, he owned and operated McGee Electric for 25 years. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, South Coventry. He graduated from Phoenixville Area High School in 1967. He was a Navy veteran. Born July 7, 1949, in Phoenixville, he was a son of Joseph L. and Helen Taroski McGee. Surviving, besides his wife and parents, are four sons, Joseph L. III of Pottstown, Benjamin M. of Boyertown, Adam D. of North Coventry and Jacob A. at home; a brother, Richard McGee of Spring City; a sister, Judy Wasylkowski of Phoenixville; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Church, Phoenixville. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp’s, 517 Main St., Phoenixville.
