HUGHESVILLE - Patricia Ann Dolan, 65, of 196 E. Water St., died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at home. She was a member of Church of the Resurrection, Muncy. Born Dec. 11, 1935, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of Herman P. and Threasa B. Goodhart Dolan. Surviving are two sisters, Marjorie Schoch McCall of Suprise, Ariz. and Coletta Dolan Katz of Manhattan, N.Y.; and two nephews, Peter McCall and Jefferey Katz. She was preceded in death by a brother, H. Paul Dolan. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 4, at McCarty-Thomas’, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. David Cappelloni officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken.
Dorothy L. Galeone
GALETON - Dorothy L. “Dottie” Galeone, 64, of this borough, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Wellsboro. She and her husband, Blase “Bill”, observed their 42nd wedding anniversary Jan. 31. Retiring in 1997, she was employed for 25 years by the Market Basket in Galeton as produce manager. She was a member of St. Bibiana Catholic Church. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and crocheting. Born April 2, 1936, in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of Paul and Ada Staller Wynn. Surviving, besides her husband, are four daughters, Linda Galeone of Wellsboro, Lisa Markle of Jackson, Mo., Lorraine McDaniels of Langley AFB, Va. and Laura Jean Galeone of Margate, Fla.; a brother, Charles Wynn of North Cape May, N.J.; six granddaughters, Jaime, Raychele, Jessica, Michele, Grace and Nicole; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Taylor, in 1997 and a granddaughter, Lindsey McDaniels, in 1992. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at her church, with the Revs. Brian E. Vossler and Michael Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Collins-Olney’s, 14 West St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A vigil service will be held at 8 p.m. The family will provide the flowers.
Phyllis V. Heine
Phyllis V. Heine, 89, of Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg, formerly of this city, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000. She was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Shiremanstown. She was a graduate of Williamsport High School and the University of Pennsylvania. Surviving are three sisters, Helen Troxell and Jane Strous, both of this city, and Betty Dykins of Glastonbury, Conn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 6 in the Bethany Village Chapel, Mechanicsburg. Arrangements are being handled by Myers-Harner’s, Market St., Camp Hill.
Robert S. Hyatt
Robert S. “Go-Row” Hyatt, 55, of Trout Run, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Williamsport Hospital. He was a physical education teacher in Miami, Fla. and Venezuela. He was a graduate of Haverford High School and West Chester University, West Chester. He was a renowned sailor. Born Oct. 20, 1945, in Lincoln, Neb., he was a son of Robert S. and Lucille Bake Hyatt. Surviving are two brothers, Richard of Washington, D.C. and Doug of Media. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church, 656 W. Creek Road, Hepburnville.

Rudolph E. Zele
GALETON - Rudolph E. “Rudy” Zele, 89, of this borough, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at Deaconess Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. His wife, the former Genevieve Connelly, died in 1978. He owned and operated Zele’s Dairy in Galeton for many years. He was a member of St. Bibiana Catholic Church. He was a member of the Galeton Masonic Lodge and the Coudersport Consistory. Born Jan. 18, 1911, in Shoaf, he was a son of Anthony and Bertha Kawasky Zele. Surviving are a daughter, Kay Legg of Trenton, Ohio; a sister, Margaret O’Hern of York Run; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judie Moore, in 1994. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, Galeton, with the Rev. Brian E. Vossler officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton. Friends may call at Collins-Olney’s, 14 West St., Galeton, from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Helen E. Blackwell
JERSEY SHORE - Helen E. Blackwell, 97, formerly of 301 S. Main St., died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Manor Care Health Center, Jersey Shore. Retiring in 1963, she was employed for 42 years as an administrative assistant for the former New York Central Railroad. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a charter member, past president and past district director of the Business and Professional Women of Jersey Shore. She was a member of the Jersey Shore Historical Society and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Ivanhoe Chapter 28 Order of Eastern Star and the Jersey Shore Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. Born Feb. 7, 1903, in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter of John D. and Ella Ruffhead Blackwell. Surviving are nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Welker’s, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, with the Rev. W. Keith Rockwell officiating. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Roland David Daugherty
Roland David Daugherty, 62, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at Valley View Nursing Center. He enjoyed landscaping. Born Feb. 2, 1938, in Williamsport, he was the son of George and Helen Staeger Daugherty. Surviving are three brothers, George of Montgomery, James of Muncy and Charles of Muncy; four sisters, Margaret Baysore, Sandra Steers and Becky Koons, all of Muncy, and Mary Pfirman of South Carolina. He was predeceased by three sisters, Sara Hauke, Betty Capeluck, Barbara Daugherty, and three brothers, Paul, John and Joseph. Arrangements are under the direction of McCarty-Thomas’s, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville.
Arthur K. Faulkiner
Arthur K. Faulkiner, 79, of Muncy Valley RR 1, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at Williamsport Hospital. He and his wife Alys E. Beall celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary May 30. Retiring in 1981, he had been employed by Sprout Waldron Co., Muncy. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Sprout Waldron, American Legion Post 268 of Muncy, Edward J. Smith Post 3428 VFW of Muncy, Rock ’N Roll Hunting Club of Muncy Valley, Keystone Hook & Ladder Co. of Muncy, and Chapeau Club of Quebec, Canada. Born April 10, 1921, in Gallaway, W. Va., he was a son of James and Pearl Shafer Faulkiner. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, William K. of Muncy Valley; a sister, Dylphya Brittain of Canada; and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn Louise Faulkiner. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at McCarty-Thomas’s, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. James Bechtel, pastor of Rock Run Church Assembly of God, Muncy Valley, officiating. Elizabeth H. “Betty” Knight, 85, of 2769 Jack’s Hollow Road, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at Rose View Center. Her second husband Clarence L. Knight died in 1980. Her first husband Charles H. Pricher died in 1965. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Williamsport. She enjoyed crocheting. Born Nov. 21, 1915, in Grass Flats, she was the daughter of John and Anna Kostkas Hasko. Surviving are a daughter, Yvonne E. Axeman of Williamsport; two sisters, Helen Updegraff of Bowling Green, Ky. and Margaret Osterloh of Williamsport; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maneval’s, 500 W. Fourth St., with the Rev. Theodore L. Cockley officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The family will provide flowers.

Virginia M. “Ginny” Miller, 85, of this city, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, in the Williamsport Hospital. Her husband William F. Miller died in 1972. She retired in 1984, after 30 years as a bookkeeper in the office of Russell Tingue and David Meckbach. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was a 1932 graduate of Williamsport High School. She volunteered at the Thrift Store for the Salvation Army. She was a former member of the Williamsport Garden Club. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 321 Williamsport. Born April 30, 1915, in Huntingdon, she was a daughter of C. Ralph and Oneita Smith Klepper. Surviving are a son, Steven L. Miller of Monroeville, N.J.; a sister, Marcia K. Best; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1101 Washington Blvd., with the Rev. Theodore L. Cockley officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Edna L. Peno
The funeral was Thursday for Edna L. Livingston Peno, of Coudersport, formerly of Austin and sister of a city man, who died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport. Her husband, Claude Q., died Aug. 1, 1986. Retiring in 1975, she was a schoolteacher with the Austin Area Schools and previously with the First Fork School. She was a member of the Austin United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, the Austin Birthday Club and the Austin Senior Center. She was a graduate of Antes Fort High School and Lock Haven State Teachers College. Born Aug. 13, 1913, in Antes Fort, she was the daughter of Charles and Iva Richael Livingston. Surviving are a son, Guy of Vienna, Va.; three daughters, Lois Ann Craig of Rising Sun, Md., Susan Peno of Dumfries, Va., and Claudia Dynda of Coudersport; a brother, Lee Livingston of this city; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Harrison Livingston and a sister, Olive Gilhart. Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 28, at Austin United Methodist Church with Pastor Vicki Jordan officiating. Burial was in Gilmore Cemetery, Cameron County. Arrangements were being handled by Fickinger’s, 210 N. East St., Coudersport.
