Miss Sharon L. Wykoff, 47, of 1015 Louisa Street, died at her home on Saturday, January 5, 2002. Born February 12, 1954, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Veron F. and Clara L. Smeak Wykoff, with whom she lived.
Sharon was a 1972 graduate of Williamsport High School and had been employed by Bro-Dart for over 25 years. She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation where she served as a cantor, choir member, secretary/treasurer of the Church Fair, and a bingo caller. She was also treasurer of a Friday night bowling league at Faxon Lanes.
Surviving in addition to her parents are: two brothers, Vernon David Wykoff of Cogan Station and Curtiss F. Wykoff of Hughesville; and four sisters, Kim A. Naylor of Muncy, Michele L. Betts of Linden, Diane A. Farrall of Hatfield and Janice E. Wrench of Oval.
A Mass Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday from the Church of the Annunciation, West Fourth and Walnut Streets, Williamsport, with the Rev. John K. Manno, officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Friends may call at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond Street, from 7-9 p.m. Monday. A vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorials to Annunciation Church, 410 Walnut Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
George Lewis Good II
George Lewis Good II, 22, of South Williamsport, died Tuesday, October 23, 2001, near Montgomery, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born October 30, 1978, in Altoona.
He was a 1997 graduate of Altoona Area High School, had attended Penn State and was currently attending Pennsylvania College of Technology. He worked as a manager at Sheetz and Hi Way Pizza, both in State College.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his father, George H. Good of Altoona; his mother and step-father, Diane L. (Jack) Heckendorn of State College; his fiance, Christina Waskiewicz; a brother, Corporal Evan A. Good of Camp LeJeune, NC; grandparents Mrs. and Mrs. John W. Foreman and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. George L. Good.
Funeral services will be held at the State College Presbyterian Church, 132 West Beaver Ave., in State College, Friday, October 26, 2001, at 11 a.m. Pastor Charles Curley will officiate. Committal services will be held at the Good Funeral Home, Inc., in Altoona, at 2 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Herb L. Rice officiating.
Burial will be in Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona.

Edna M. Haas
Edna M. Haas, 90, formerly of 1213 Cherry St., died Tuesday, October 23, 2001, in Valley View Nursing Center.
Born September 29, 1911, in Sunbury, she was a daughter of John G. and Annie Herman Dunkle. Mrs. Haas was a member of Lycoming Presbyterian Church and had worked at the Weldon Pajama Factory.
Surviving are a daughter, Norma Benedek of Bethlehem, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Murphy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Richard W. Miller, her pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Sanders from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday.
Craig Lee Horton
Craig Lee Horton, 54, of Wellsboro, died October 22, 2001, at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital.
He owned and operated ABC Gaines, Inc., of Wellsboro.
He served the community as a member of the Wellsboro Area School Board for 15 years and was the Regional Director for the Pennsylvania State School Board Association Executive Committee. Craig was a former leader of the Boy Scout Troup 911 and a former Babe Ruth and Little League Coach. He was also a former Rotary Club Member. Mr. Horton was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Wellsboro.
Born in York, York County, August 24, 1947, he was the son of Millard E. and stepson of Joanne Horton of Wellsboro and son of the late Florence I. Horton.
Surviving are his wife, Jo Ann Hamme Horton; a son and daughter-in-law, Jon D. and Tara Horton of York, York County; a daughter, Susan E. Horton, a student at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford; a sister, Wanda Gosnell and a brother, Rusty Horton, both of York, York County.
A "life celebration" memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Wellsboro on Saturday, October 27, at 10:30 a.m.
The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, North Central Region, 1948 East Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
Following the "life celebration" memorial service, the family will receive friends in the fellowship hall followed by a luncheon.

Verus P. Meixel
Verus P. Meixel, 87, of 47 Lincoln Drive, Dubois, Pa., died Monday, October 15, 2001 at the Christ the King Manor, Dubois.
He was born March 3, 1914, in Jersey Shore, a son of the late Floyd and Anna Bower Meixel. He is survived by his wife the former Dorna B. Shadduck.
He graduated from Jersey Shore High School and was a self-employed heavy equipment operator in the coal mining industry.
He is also survived by a daughter, Dena Dee Senior of Dubois, a brother, Arthur Meixel of Loganton; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by five brothers: Clyde, Stuart, Abraham, Ernest and Frank Meixel and an infant sister.
Lathan Wayne Meredith
Lathan Wayne Meredith, Jr., 33, of 26 Sherwood Lane, South Williamsport, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2001. Born October 7, 1968 in Williamsport, Wayne was a son of Lathan Wayne Meredith, Sr., and Linda L. Wittman Meredith.
He had been employed by Moore’s Building Products. An avid hunter and fisherman, Wayne belonged to the Long Bow Association and the Buck Skinners.
Surviving are his mother of South Williamsport; his father of Cogan Station; a son, Lathan Wayne III and daughter, Jennifer Lynn, both of city; two sisters, Robyn Meredith-Vroman (David) and Cinda Meredith; a brother, Ranson and an aunt, Sandy Wittman, all of South Williamsport; a nephew and three nieces, Joshua and Kryslynne Croman, Krissa West and Kaira Meredith.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Friends may call at Sanders from 3-4 p.m. Saturday.
Jean L. Paris
Jean L. Paris, 82, of Tioga, died Wednesday, October 24, 2001, in Wellsboro. She was the wife of the late Milford H. Paris. Survivors include seven daughters, Sharon Richards, Roberta Steadman, Deborah Deats, Barbara Wilber, Jolene Tomlinson, Paula Bolt, and Kelly Jelliff and a son, Frederick Paris. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Mansfield. Visitation 6:30-9 Friday.
Frances Amy Dinsmore Colyer Pound
Frances Amy Dinsmore Colyer Pound, 87 of Fletcher, N.C., died October 2, 2001 after a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Williamsport and a graduate of Williamsport High School.
Survivors include her daughter Connie Aikman, Chattanooga, TN, daughter-in-law Joyce Pound, Cayuga, NY, sisters Ginnie Miller, Anchorage, AK; Anna Livermore, Williamsport; Harriet Johnson, Avon Park, FL, and a brother Richard Dinsmore of Waterbury, CT.
Memorial services will be October 27 at 5:30 p.m. at the Standifer Gap S.D.A. Church, Chattanooga, TN.
