Thomas J. Marnon
Thomas J. Marnon, 83, of 1157 Park Ave., Williamsport, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Williamsport Hospital. Born Feb. 23, 1918, in Williamsport, he was the son of Dennis and Agnes Peters Marnon.
He had been employed by the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. for 43 years. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School and was an Air Force veteran of WWII. Thomas was a member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jean A. Callahan; 2 sons, Thomas J. Jr., of Williamsport and Dennis C. of Boston, Mass.; 2 daughters, Mary Ann Hamm of Greensboro, N.C. and Janice Hersh of Enola; 2 sisters, Natalie and Margaret Marnon of Williamsport; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Marnon and a granddaughter, Jennifer Marnon in 1983.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, 10 a.m. in the church, 635 Hepburn St., with the Rev. Michael McCormick officiating. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call at Crouse's, 133 E. 3rd St., from 7-9 p.m. Thursday. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. The family will provide the flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Childrens Development Center, 625 W. Edwin St., Williamsport, Pa., 17701.

Eleanor L. Habbel
Mrs. Eleanor L. (McNamee) Habbel, 86, of Hopedale St., formerly Brewster, MA, died Monday, April 9, 2001, in the Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital in Milford. Mrs. Habbel was the widow of the late Robert F. Habbel who died in 1998.
Mrs. Habbel was born in Williamsport, PA., Jan. 8, 1915, the daughter of the late William and Edith (Kurtz) McNamee and she had been a resident of Brewster for 26 years prior to moving to Hopedale in 2000.
Mrs. Habbel was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Williamsport, class of 1933.
Surviving are two sons, Lawrence R. Habbel of Whitinsville, MA., and David M. Habbel of Clinton, NY; one daughter, Barbara A. Conrad of Attica, NY; one brother, Paul McNamee of Maryville, TN; one sister, Jane Shebest of Williamsport; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at 10 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 68 Canal St., Orleans, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Habbel's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Assoc. of MA, 36 Cameron Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02138.

Margaret Hager McMillen
Margaret Hager McMillen, 83, of Florida, formerly a longtime resident of Mansfield, died April 8, 2001, in Palmetto, Fla. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 2 p.m. at Holy Child Catholic Church, Mansfield, with Rev. Louis Kaminski officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Blossburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Holy Child Church. Arrangements by Zwicharowski Funeral Home, Blossburg.

Glenda K. McNeal
On the evening of Friday, April 13th, 2001, former area resident Glenda Kathleen McNeal passed away at Winter Park Memorial Hospital, Winter Park, Florida. She was 50 years of age. Born in Blossburg on January 24th, 1951, she was the daughter of Lester Eugene and the late Myrtle (Elliott) McNeal. Glenda lived most of her life in the Northern Tier, working as a sales consultant for Professional Hair Care Products. In 1991 she moved to Central Florida, settling in Orlando.
She is survived by her father, Lester Eugene McNeal of Millerton, Pa.; sisters, Joann Graham of Roaring Branch, Cheryl Messner of Williamsport and Linda Sue McNeal of Montgomery, Ala.; a brother, Rev. William L. McNeal of Unityville, Pa.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kemi Lynne Erway and mother, Myrtle Rose McNeal.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 20th, 11 a.m. at the Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, Inc., 40 N. Center Street, Canton, with the Rev. Deacon William Graham officiating. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Grover Cemetery.

Michael A. Shabloski
Michael A. Shabloski, age 69, of 40 State Rt. 287 N., Wellsboro, Pa., died April 16, 2001, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro. He was the husband of Roberta Amacher Shabloski to whom he married November 17, 1956. He was born May 6, 1931, in Wellsboro, Pa., the son of the late Joseph J. and Angeline Fermenick Shabloski, Sr. He was owner of Shabloski Welding and Ready Mix, Wellsboro, for 41 years and was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are his wife, Roberta; sons, Regan P. (Cheryl) Shabloski of Erie, Pa., and Brandon L. Shabloski of Wellsboro, Pa.; granddaughters, Caitlyn A. and Sarah L. Shabloski; sisters, Margaret "Chicken" (Duane) Cobb of Lawrenceville, Pa., and Martha (Alvin) Huck of Wellsboro, Pa; and brothers, Stanley (Marjorie) Shabloski, Jerome (Sydna) Shabloski and Joseph (Lola) Shabloski, all of Wellsboro, Pa. He was preceded in death by a son, Darren M. Shabloski in 1960.
Friends may call at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, Pa., on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral there on Thursday, April 19, 2001 at 11 a.m. with Father Michael J. Sullivan officiating. Burial at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be sent to the Dialysis Center of Wellsboro, 17 Tioga Street, Wellsboro, Pa. 16901.

Wilbur B. Watkins
Wilbur B. "Jim" Watkins, 85, of 3152 Cogan House Road, Trout Run, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Rose View Center. He and his wife, the former Dorothy L. Persun, observed their 48th wedding anniversary on Oct. 10, 2000.
He retired in 1988 from Sterling Supply Corp. after 37 years of service. He was a Cogan House Township Supervisor from 1990-1996 and a member of the Garden View Baptist Church.
Born Dec. 22, 1915, in Washington, DC, a son of Wilbur B. and Alice Bronson Watkins.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Dawn L. of Taylors, SC; sisters, Elizabeth Mason of Palm Harbor, FL and Alice Roy of Royal Palm Beach, FL.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., with the Rev. David Stouffer, a former pastor, officiating, and the Rev. Russell Small, his pastor, assisting. Interment will be in the Cogan House Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family will provide the flowers and suggest contributions be made to the Garden View Baptist Church, 1600 Doris Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701 or the Cogan House Christian Church, R.R.#1 Box 115, Trout Run, PA 17771.

Doretta A. Seaman
Doretta A. Seaman, 97, a guest at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at the village. Born June 1, 1903, in Shippensville, she was a daughter of Louis F. and Estella M. Cussins Schimp. On May 1, 1922, she married Samuel D. Seaman who preceded her in death on April 23, 1961. Mrs. Seaman retired as a Nurses Aid with the Williamsport Hospital. She was a member of the South Williamsport United Methodist Church.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Patricia A. Phelps, Mifflinburg, and Mary Lou Peacock, Nashville, Tennessee. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and a sister, Geraldine Michalski, Dade City, Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 1 sister.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 1 p.m., at Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, with Rev. Leslie Conklin, retired C.M.A. pastor, and Rev. Steve Van Amburg, pastor of Lewisburg Alliance Church and Hidden Valley Camping Resort chaplain, officiating. Interment will be in Salem-St. Paul Cemetery, Nauvoo. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 noon to the hour of service. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 71 North Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.

Ernest J. Grube
Ernest J. Grube, 94, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at the Green Home, Wellsboro. He is survived locally by daughter & son-in-law, Mary Lou & Robert Henneman of Wellsboro. A viewing will be held April 22, 2001, 7-9 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc., Wellsboro. Funeral services will be held April 24, 2001, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Otto, NY, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Peter A. DeVantier officiating.
