Betty J. Campbell, 79, died April 18, 2001, at Carleton Nursing Home, Wellsboro, where she resided. Her husband, Reginald B. Campbell, died Nov. 2, 1980. Born Jan. 13, 1922, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Pastor Robert & May Morris Heffer. Graveside Memorial Service will be Friday, 3:15 p.m. at Tioga County Memorial Gardens. Family will provide flowers.
Antoinette M. Molino
Mrs. Antoinette M. Molino, 90, of 714 Antler Lane, Williamsport, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, at her home. Mrs. Molino was born March 3, 1911, in Williamsport, a daughter of Joseph and Elvira Perrotto Valletta.
She retired from Lycoming Braided Fabrics. Mrs. Molino was a member of the Italian Christian Church and attended CityChurch.
Mrs. Molino was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Molino, Jr., in 1970, and two sons, Harry Joseph and James Leroy.
Surviving are four daughters, JoAnne Castell with whom she lived, Clara M. Boyle and Donna M. McCain, both of Lakeland, FL, and Julia Ellen Young of city; a son, Robert H. Molino of city; four sisters, Rose DeVito, Laura Flook, Julia Brown and Josephine Valletta, all of South Williamsport; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Daniel Speer, pastor of CityChurch, officiating. Burial will be in Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Margaret M. Bartlett
Margaret M. Bartlett, known as Maggie, a resident of Rose View Center, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, September 10, 1908, she attended St. Louis University studying commerce and finance and was executive secretary to the Vice President of Westinghouse. Her husband of 57 years, Air Force Col. William L. Bartlett, passed away in March, 2000. She was an active volunteer in the officer's wives clubs and Catholic schools wherever they were stationed. She enjoyed reading, baking and playing bridge.
Her daughter, Mary B. Wolf, a son-in-law, Michael D. Wolf and two grandchildren, Patrick Wolf and his wife, Laura, of Royal Oak, MI and Peggy Wolf of Chicago, IL survive her.
As a result of interment scheduling for Arlington National Cemetery, burial will be May 24. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of St. Ann, 1220 Northway Road on Wednesday, May 23.
There will be no visitation; the family will provide the flowers. Memorials may be made in her name to the Church of St. Ann, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.

Dorothy L. King
Dorothy L. King, 64, of 348 Linden Circle, Lock Haven, died April 19, 2001. Born Oct. 1, 1936,in Lock Haven, the daughter of Elmer & Sarah Coble Irvin. Her husband, Irvin Elwood King, died Nov. 15, 1992. Surviving: 3 sons, 5 daughters, 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 brothers & 4 sisters. She was predeceased by a brother. John E. Berfield, Sr.
John Edward Berfield, Sr., 64, of Dale City, Va., brother of 2 city women, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at home. He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean Conflict. Surviving are his wife, Ileene Berfield; 2 sons, John E. Jr. of Leesburg, Va., & Rex of Fredericksburg, Va.; 2 granddaughters, Jeniffer & Alyssa; 3 sisters, Isabelle Straub of St. Mary's, Ruby Shirm & Jane Getgen, both of Williamsport; 3 brothers, Gird of Greenville, SC, Dorsey of Tucker, Ga., & Fred of Florida. The funeral will be Monday, 1 p.m. at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, Va. Interment will be in Quantico National Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Sunday.

John R. Dorwart, Sr., 77, died Friday, April 20, 2001, at the Lock Haven Extended Care Unit.

William A. Hummel, Sr.
William A. Hummel, Sr., 42, of 22 Michael Ave., Hughesville, died April 18, 2001 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. His wife, the former Gloria J. Baylor, died on March 8, 2001.
Bill was a 12 year member of the Pennsylvania National Guard, Co. B, 2-109 Inf., Williamsport. He had presently worked at Savoy Inc., Montoursville.
He was born in Williamsport on Nov. 24, 1958, the son of Eugene A. and Janet I. Shannon Hummel.
He is survived by his parents and maternal grandmother, Erma Shannon, all of Ocklawaha, Fla.; three sons, William A. Jr. of Williamsport, Dale Eugene and Keith Adam Hummel, both at home; two brothers, Sterling E. of Middleburg and Danny L. Hummel of Silver Springs, Fla.; three sisters, Darlene L. Daniels and Sue A. Watson, both of Ocklawaha, Fla., Mary A. Phillips of Williamsport. Predeceased is a sister, Peggy Ann Hummel.
Funeral Services will be Monday, 11 a.m. at McCarty-Thomas', 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Sister Sharon Hartman, chaplain of the Muncy Valley Hospital, officiating. Burial will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday.
Florence M. Singer
Florence M. Singer, 88, a guest at Rose View Center, formerly of South Williamsport, died Friday, April 20, 2001 at the center. Born July 10, 1912 in Linden, she was the daughter of Alvin H. and Mina Carson Riggle. Her husband, John C. Singer, died in January of 1986. Florence was a homemaker and member of Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport.
Survivors include 3 nephews, John Shaffer of Massachusetts, Richard Shaffer of Williamsport and Ron Smull of Columbia, Missouri; 2 nieces, Florence Metzger of Williamsport and Shirley Ranck of Watsontown; and a sister-in-law, Letha Newcomer of Williamsport.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Noll's, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, with the Rev. Robert L. Driesen, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday.
Floyd E. Snook
Mr. Floyd E. Snook, 84, formerly of Jersey Shore, Pa., died Wednesday, April 18, 2001 in the Good Samaritan Health Care in Kissimmee, Florida. Born October 20, 1916 in Loganton, Pa., he was the son of Lee Snook and the former Stella Stamm. He was united in marriage February 11, 1938 in Mill Hall to the former Dorothy M. Brungard. She preceded him in death October 18, 1987. He was retired from Woolrich Inc., after many years of service in the Finishing Dept.
Surviving are 2 sons, Robert L. Snook of Buckeye, Ariz., and Donald E. Snook of Loganton; 1 daughter, Margaret M. Schippert of Kissimmee, Fla.; 9 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 23, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore, Pa. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday evening in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Rosecrans, Pa.
Catherine Vognetz
Catherine (Stafford) Vognetz, age 88, passed away at home on April 20, 2001, following an extended illness.
A longtime resident of rural Unityville, she had worked at the Crestmont Inn in Eagles Mere for many years before retiring. Over the years she was a foster mother for 22 children, for which service she was honored by the Lycoming County Department of Children and Youth at a banquet in 1989.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jason Stackhouse in 1959, and by a second husband, Andrew Vognetz in 1970. Her only son, Guy R. Stackhouse preceded her in death in 1994.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Houseknecht (Jerry Pankhurst) of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter-in-law, Arlena Stackhouse of Unityville; three grandsons, Guy L. Stackhouse (Nancy) of Benton, Larry E. Stackhouse (Judy Green) of Bloomsburg and Richard W. Stackhouse of Muncy; great-grandchildren, Brenda Stackhouse of Millville, Kelly Stackhouse of Benton and Jared Stackhouse of Picture Rocks; and three nieces, Margaret Wommer, Kathleen Yost and Shirley Reifiendifer of Bloomsburg. Also surviving is her companion/caregiver and cousin, Marie Allen. She maintained contact with nine of her foster children, including Ethel Reeder of Warrenton, Virginia, Crystal Zankel of Williamsport, Lou Ann Carrasquillo of York, Vicki Yaw of Johnstown, Catherine Ann Martin of Williamsport, Louise Travelpiece of Danville, Sandra Fry of Muncy, Robert Loner of Montoursville, and Arthur Crawford of Milford, Connecticut; 13 of her "foster" grandchildren and 10 "foster" great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Monday from 7-9 p.m. at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water Street, Hughesville. The funeral service will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, with Rev. Wayne Stebbins officiating. Ada M. Wiand
Ada M. (Carr) Wiand, 87, a guest at Rose View Center, died April 19, 2001 at the center. Born Dec. 31, 1913 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Alfred and Emma Younkin Carr. Her husband, Raymond B. Wiand, died Oct. 26, 1971. Mrs. Wiand retired from the former Hills Dept. Store.
Surviving are a daughter, Virginia E. McGill of Noblesville, Indiana; a son, Lee A. Wiand of Palmyra, NY; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Marguerite Zulker and Mable Cunningham, both of Williamsport. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Oran Carr.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, 11 a.m. at the Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport, with the Rev. Tim Hartzell, pastor of Faith Wesleyan Church, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
