Karen M. Moyer (Pittenger), 47, a resident of Watsontown, PA, formerly of Montgomery, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 10, 2015 at her residence. Born in Muncy Creek Twp., Lycoming County, PA, on Monday, April 22, 1968, she was the daughter of the late Theryl E. "Ted" Moyer, Jr. and Roberta L. (Foye) Moyer-Bergman who survives her of Uniontown, OH.
Karen was a 1986 graduate of Montgomery High School. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her pets.
In addition to her mother and step-father, Bobbie and Bob Bergman of Uniontown, OH, she is survived by her son, Ryan L. Pittenger, New Columbia, PA; one brother, Todd and wife Cathy Moyer, Cincinnati, OH; two step-siblings, Todd and wife Jodi Bergman, Collegeville, PA; Michelle and husband Tim Hansberry, Schwenksville, PA; her grandmother, Jane Bergman, Watsontown, PA. Karen is also survived numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Theryl and L. Myrel Moyer; maternal grandparents, Robert and MaryLou Foye and grandpa "Slim" Bergman.
Graveside services will be conducted in the Green Lawn Memorial Park, 62 Route 54 Highway, Montgomery, PA at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, August 14, 2015 with Rev. Robert O. Rice, Jr., pastor of the White Deer Charge of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 40 E. Houston Avenue, Montgomery, PA.
Beverly June Thompson
Beverly June Thompson, 74, of Winchester, VA, died Nov. 23, 2008 at her residence.
Born Sept. 8, 1934 in Picture Rocks, she was the daughter of Frederick and Lois Katherine Smith Binder. She married George Boal Thompson, III on April 5, 1953 in Williamsport.
Surviving, along with her husband, are five sons, George B. Thompson, IV of McLoud, OK, Dean Thompson of Lovettsville, VA, Clay Thompson of Winchester, VA, Guy Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK and Keith Thompson of Winchester; three daughters, Carrie McGill of Manassas VA, Amy Thompson of Annandale, VA and Jill Baldinger of Keyser, WV; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren
A brother, Frederick Binder preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 28, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel, Winchester, with the Rev. Kenneth Patrick officiating. Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Park. David W. Fisher
David W. Fisher, 51, loving husband and father, passed away Nov. 11, 2008 at his home in Carlisle.
Born Feb. 13, 1957, in Muncy, he was a son of the late John W. Fisher, Jr. and Barbara Myers Fisher Hoffman and the stepson of Dean Hoffman, Sr.
He was a 1975 graduate of Jersey Shore High School, and attended Williamsport Community College, Williamsport, The American Institute of Banking, Manhattan, NY, and Salem School of the Bible, Brooklyn, NY.
Mr. Fisher was a Director for PSECU Harrisburg, and formerly an Assistant Vice President of JP Morgan Chase Bank, NY.
A member of Christian Life Assembly, he served on the hospital visitation team and throughout his life had held various church positions in several churches. He also volunteered for the I.O. Silver Foundation Heart Association at Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Mr. Fisher enjoyed being with family and friends, and living life to the fullest with a unique sense of humor, but his greatest desire was to serve Jesus and help others along the way.
In addition to his mother and stepfather, he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Faith C. Wahlberg Fisher, two sons, Peter J. and John P. Fisher at home, a brother, Michael Fisher, Jersey Shore, sister, Karen Stover, Avis, a step brother and sister, aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, nephews, various in-laws and many close friends.
Funeral services were held Nov. 17, at Christian Life Assembly, 2645 Lisburn Rd., Camp Hill, with the Rev. Wayde Wilson and Rev. Ronald Pettibone officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown, PA.

Glenn Frederick Hursh
Glenn Frederick Hursh, 80, Dewart, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, with the Rev. James R. Taylor, SUN Home Hospice chaplain, officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
Heidi L. Micklow
Heidi L. Micklow, 38, of Montoursville, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, as a result of injuries sustained from a motor vehicle accident on Route 87 in Upper Fairfield Township.
Born Sept. 16, 1970, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of Timothy S. Flynn and Linda C. Howlett. She was employed at Caseman’s New Shore Acres and was previously employed at the Antlers Club for many years. She enjoyed watching movies and listening to music, especially live performances. She also loved spending time with her family and friends, whom she loved dearly.
Surviving, in addition to her parents, are a son, Cody L. Switzer of Williamsport; a maternal grandmother, Sara E. Frey of Muncy; an Aunt, with whom she lived, Deborah A. Aderhold; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Charles T. Frey. A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
John E. Hess
June 21, 1932 - December 25, 2020
John E. "Jack" Hess, 88, formerly of Muncy, PA, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 in the Valley View Nursing Center at Montoursville due to complications of COVID-19. Born Tuesday, June 21, 1932 at Shamokin, Northumberland Co., PA, he was a son of the late Frederick and Nellie (Culp) Hess. Jack was the husband of Dorothy M. (Miller) Hess with whom he celebrated a 69th wedding anniversary on July 10, 2020.
He retired in 1991 from Avco-Lycoming at Williamsport where he was employed as a machinist.
Jack enjoyed watching western movies and television shows. He was a prolific joke teller, always ready to spring one on an unsuspecting friend or family member. Family was most important to him, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Charles and wife Victoria Hess of Muncy and William and wife Patty Hess of Hughesville. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Brian Hess of Muncy; Adam and wife Emma Hess of Maryland; Amber and husband Matt Adams of Pennsdale; Sara and husband Andrew Jordan of Unityville; Eric and wife Kelly Hess of Montoursville; Mitchell (Tiffany Stigerwalt) Hans of Berwick and Nathan (Hannah Barto) Hans of Hughesville and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the 700 hall staff at Valley View Nursing Center for the great care given to their dad and grandfather the last years of his life.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the convenience of the family with Reverend Richard C. Jones, pastor of the Radiant Light Church, officiating. Interment will be in Muncy Cemetery.
