Patrick T. Eiswerth

Patrick T. Eiswerth, 19, of Turbotville, passed away Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at Geisinger Medical Center from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident in Montour County.

Born Dec. 29, 1988, in Lewisburg, he was the son of Dr. Thomas A. Eiswerth of Milton and Karen A. Irelan of Turbotville.

A 2007 graduate of Warrior Run High School, he was employed as a carpenter on area construction projects.

He had a deep appreciation of art and music. He liked hunting, fishing, and skiing.

He will be remembered for his friendly and outgoing personality and had an enthusiastic outlook on life.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, is a step-mother, Marie Eiswerth, three brothers: Christopher A. Eiswerth, Philip A. Eiswerth, and Trevor A. Mincemoyer; two sisters, Caley M. and Megan L. Mincemoyer, all of Milton; maternal grandparents, John and Joan Irelan of The Villages, FL; paternal grandmother Cecelia Tanner, Milton and a great uncle and aunt, Miles and Barbara Artley of Williamsport.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, with Monsignor Stephen McGough officiating. A private memorial mass and interment in Wildwood Cemetery will be held at the family’s convenience.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to the Warrior Run High School Scholarship Fund, designated “in memory of Patrick Eiswerth”, and sent to 4800 Susquehanna Trail, Turbotville, PA 17772.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville.

E. Eugene Tallman
October 26, 1923 - December 3, 2014

E. Eugene Tallman, 91, a resident of Muncy, PA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in the Susquehanna Health Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Unit at Muncy Valley Hospital. Born in Wolf Twp., Lycoming County, PA, on Friday, October 26, 1923, he was the son of the late William and Lena (Schlaugh) Tallman.

Eugene was the widower of Esther L. (Yetter) Tallman who preceded him in death on October 8, 2013.

He was a 1943 graduate of Montoursville High School. Gene honorably served during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Army. He was employed in the sheet metal department of Andritz Sprout-Bauer Co, Inc. at Muncy, PA for 30 years.

Gene was a long time member of the Trinity United Methodist Church at Pennsdale, PA where he was a former treasurer and had perfect Sunday School attendance for over 35 years. Gene was a member of Sprout's Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed sitting on his porch and working in his yard of which he was very meticulous. He enjoyed spending time with his family and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Gene is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy A. and husband Scott Mensch, Muncy, PA; Shirley A. and husband Phillip Glasser, Muncy, PA; five grandchildren, Mary Beth Baker; Greg Tallman; Tyler Mensch; Darren Mensch; Laura Glasser; one great-grandson, Denny Baker III; two brothers, William LaRue and wife Freda Tallman, Mifflinburg, PA; Alvin and wife Belva Tallman, Arkansas. In addition to his wife, Eugene was preceded in death by his son, Donald Y. Tallman, in1998 and one sister, Clarabell Laubacher.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 6, 2014 with Kevin St. Martin, his pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Muncy Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road, Pennsdale, PA 17756.

Bryan K. Propst
December 24, 1961 - December 1, 2014

Bryan K. Propst, 52, a resident of Muncy, PA, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014. Born in Muncy Creek Twp., Lycoming County, PA, on Sunday, December 24, 1961, he was the son of the late Howard Propst and Norma (Hill) Reich who survives him of Montgomery, PA.

Bryan was a 1980 Montgomery High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Bryan was employed by Construction Specialties at Hughesville, PA.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing his guitar.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children, Michael T. Propst, Dalton, GE; Matthew B. Propst, Benton, TN; Kayla Propst, Old Fort, TN; Sayla Propst, Athens, TN; four brothers, John Propst, Elimsport, PA; Howard Propst, Muncy, PA; Donald Propst, Muncy, PA; Benjamin Propst, Sunbury, PA and three grandsons, Lane Propst; Tyson Propst and Brantley Propst. In addition to his father, Bryan was preceded in death by his sister, Jennie Mae Propst.

Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA.

Marion L. Pardoe
May 20, 1930 - January 20, 2021

Marion is survived by her husband, Robert I. Pardoe, son, Robert C. Pardoe, Sr. (Patricia); 3 Grandchildren; Danielle L. Buehlman (late Michael J. Buehlman, Sr.); Robert C. Pardoe, Jr. (Lindsay); Jessica L. Gallagher (Joshua T. Gallagher, Sr.); 13 Great-Grandchildren; Alexis M. Campbell (Brett A. Campbell, Sr.), Christopher J. Pardoe, Michael J. Buehlman, Jr., Jason C. Buehlman, RoseMarie P. Buehlman, Paris X. Pardoe, Mkayla Pardoe, Taegan V. Pardoe, Owen M. Pardoe, Aubrey L. Lively, Carolyn M. Lively, Joshua T. Gallagher, Jr., Julianne M. Gallagher; 1 Great-Great Grandson; Brett A. Campbell, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

Marion was the sixth child born to Clyde and Helen (Plotts) Tallman. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Edna, Rose and Dorothy and her brothers, Robert and Carl.

Marion was a 1949 graduate of Montgomery-Clinton High School. She loved to attend the annual class reunion. July 1, 1950 she married the love of her life, Robert I. Pardoe. On May 15, 1951, she and her husband completed their family with the birth of their son, Robert.

Marion was employed by the NAFFMB, U.S. Air Force Officer’s Club at McGuire AFB, as an accounting technician. Her responsibilities included collecting and balancing all financial records for the officers.

Marion and her husband, Bob, retired in 1984 and moved back to their home on the Bald Eagle Mountain near Williamsport, PA where they enjoyed their serene surroundings. In 1998 they sold their mountain home and purchased a home near the town of Montgomery, PA. They loved to entertain and enjoyed card games with their friends.

Marion was a longtime member of the St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, Montgomery, PA, as well as a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 282, Watsontown, PA, and a member of the Muncy Hospital Auxiliary, and the Montgomery Historical Society.

In the year 2017, she developed complications with Diabetes that required the amputation of her left leg in April and her right leg in October. This initiated the need for full time nursing care assistance, and she was admitted to Susquehanna Health Skilled Nursing Center, Muncy, PA. In August 2017 she and her husband moved to Marlton, NJ, to be closer to her son and his family. They resided at Wiley Retirement Community, where she was a resident of the Skilled Nursing Facility and Bob is a resident of the Residential Assisted Living Facility.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 12:00 Noon from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 N. Main Street, Muncy, PA with Reverend Theodore Cockley officiating. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 - 12:00. Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran "Brick" Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Wiley Home Auxiliary, 99 East Main Street, Marlton, NJ 08053 or The Hospice of Moorestown VNA, 300 Harper Drive, Moorestown, JN 08057. Those attending the services should follow CDC guidelines, wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Marvin J. Eichenlaub

Marvin J. Eichenlaub, 89, of 56 N. Middle Road, Pennsdale, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009.

Born in Danville on October 31, 1919, he was a son of the late Harry and Olive (Buck) Eichenlaub.

His wife of 55 years, the former Anna M. Magargle, passed away Feb. 28, 2002.

Following graduation from Muncy High School in 1939, he joined the U. S. Army, where he served in the 257th Engineer Combat Battalion during World War II.

Marvin worked as a machinist at the former Sprout-Waldron Division of Koppers Co., Inc., Muncy for forty years, retiring in 1981 and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was also a member of the Edward Smith Post #3428 V.F.W., Muncy, and the Roland Ritter Post #268, American Legion, Muncy, as well as a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden, woodworking, hunting and fishing, and was especially fond of spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are five daughters and three sons-in-law, Sandra and Bob Little of San Jose, CA, Patricia Shipman of Muncy, Wanda Eichenlaub of South Williamsport, Debbie and Ray Kennedy of Muncy and Leslie and Randy Moore of Pennsdale; one brother, Joe Eichenlaub of Sonestown; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Madeline Sheets (his twin) of Picture Rocks, Betty Burkholder of Muncy and Lucille and Robert Campbell of Muncy; eleven grandchildren, Dana Edwards, Brian and Brad Shipman, Leanna and Cris Powell, Jessica, Jeron and Kaley Kennedy; Dustion Eichenlaub, and Taylor and Rachael Moore; and four great-grandchildren, Preston Shipman, Ian Edwards and twins Quinn and Braden Edwards.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Marvin M. Eichenlaub, who passed away Jan. 2, 1992; one sister, Beatrice Anderson; four brothers, Milner, Benton, Donald and John Eichenlaub; two sons-in-law, Robert H. Shipman and Richard Kropp; and one grandson, Rodney Edwards.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, Feb. 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. James R. Taylor, SUN Home Hospice Chaplain. Burial with full military honors will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to SUN Home Health & Hospice, 61 Duke St., P. O. Box 232, Northumberland, PA 17857.
