Harry E. Winters

Harry E. Winters, 84, of Flemington, PA, passed away Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008 at his home.

Born April 24, 1924 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Walter and Eva Bittner Winters.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline B. “Sis” Winters, a son Jeffrey A. (Candy) Winters of Muncy, a daughter Barbara J. (John) Wadeck of Clintondale, PA, one brother, six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild and six step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., Flemington. Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 13, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 1175 W. Fourth St., Lock Haven. Burial will be in Dunnstown Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to St. Luke’s United Church of Christ.

Donald L. Huffman
(August 1, 1940 - March 30, 2012)

Donald L. Huffman, 71 of Huffman Road, Muncy, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born August 1, 1940 in Danville, he was the son of the late Homer and Gladys (Willsey) Huffman. On May 4, 1956 He married the former Leona Hall and they had celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Don is a retired truck driver. He last drove for Lansberry Trucking in Woodland. He enjoyed driving trucks, watching westerns on TV, playing cards, riding his scooter and fishing with his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife are; two sons, Donald K. Huffman of White Deer and Daniel A. Huffman of Watsontown, a daughter and son-in-law, Suzette J. and William Rishel of Muncy; a sister, Harriet Rice of Danville; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Don was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Worthington, a grandson, Billy Rishel, a sister, Dolores Butterworth and two brothers, Paul and Allen Huffman.

Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday with Pastor Max Walters, Jr. of the Lairdsville Faith Church, officiating. Burial will be in Muncy Cemetery.

Richard Lee Boatwright
(February 17, 1933 - January 13, 2012)

Richard L. Boatwright “Dick”, 78, of Broadway Street, Milton, passed away, Friday, January 13, 2012 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born February 17, 1933 in Columbia, South Carolina he was the son of the late William Harold Boatwright and Sarah (Nichols) Craig. On May 7, 1955 he married Mary Moodie and they celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Richard was a 1952 graduate of Turbotville High School. He served in the Army for a number of years as a paratrooper. He was a member of the American Legion and was employed by Cooper Jarrett as a truck driver. He also worked as farmer all throughout his life. Richard also served as Limestone Township Supervisor. He greatly enjoyed fishing the Outer Banks, North Carolina with his wife and friends and going on numerous fishing and hunting trips. Richard loved spending time with his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. In his free time Richard had many hobbies including building fly rods and working on solar energy projects.

Surviving along with his wife Mary, are two sons: Craig Boatwright and his wife Dianne of Milton, and Eric Boatwright and his wife Janine of Allenwood; a sister, D. Gretcha Betz of Milton, a step-sister Nina Seidel and her husband Dale of Milton; four grandchildren; Justin, Alyssa and Tyler Boatwright, and Angela Chaapel and her husband Robert, as well as one great-grandchild; Jayden Chaapel.

In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by a son; Richard Boatwright "Dirk", brother; William Boatwright and step-father; Earl Craig Jr.

Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 PM Monday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m with the Rev. Dan May of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Turbotville, officiating. Burial will follow in the Turbotville Cemetery.

The family suggest contributions in his memory be made to the American Heart Association, 1704 Warren Ave. Williamsport, PA 17701

Elizabeth Joyner

Mrs. Susan “Elizabeth” Joyner, of Fayetteville, died November 14, 2006. Mrs. Joyner was a BellSouth Pioneer. She is survived by her husband Mr. Leroy Joyner, children R. Edwin & Judy Joyner of Jackson, GA, Michael L. & Cindy Joyner of Fayetteville, and Randall L. & Deborah Joyner of Gainesville, GA; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sister Margie & Jack Gunter of College Park as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 17, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Dawn Marie Baker Milheim
(November 22, 1966 - September 29, 2015)

Dawn Marie Baker Milheim, 48, a resident of Williamsport, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. Born in Muncy Creek Twp., Lycoming County, PA, on Tuesday, November 22, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Baker and Rebecca Ann (Lawton) Oden.

Dawn was a graduate of Muncy High School. She was employed by Unique Industries at Montoursville, PA.

Dawn enjoyed attending family gatherings.

She is survived by two sons, David L. Wertz, Jr., Montgomery, PA; Dylan J. Milheim, Milton, PA; three siblings, Daniel L. Baker, Jr., Montgomery, PA; Danielle Marie Baker, Harrisburg, PA; Becky Jo Bertino, S. Williamsport, PA and her step-father, Clifford Oden.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA from 11:00 - 1:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 4, 2015. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to David Wertz, Jr., 939 Saegers Station Road, Montgomery, PA 17752 to help defray funeral expenses.

JoAnn K. Phillips

JoAnn K. Phillips, 59, of 61 Willow Street, Hughesville, died Monday, Jan. 26, 2009 at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born Sept. 2, 1949 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Nancy (Hall) Keefer.

She and her husband of 21 years, David P. Phillips, were married Aug. 15, 1987.

JoAnn was employed at Springs in Montgomery for 25 years and then worked for Securitas Security in Muncy for 7 years. In her spare time she enjoyed reading.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Thomas Keefer and fiancée Faith Love of Watsontown and one sister, Edna J. Griffin of Hughesville.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Carl T. Keefer, who died Jan. 15, 1999.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, at St. John Lutheran (Brick) Church Cemetery, Montgomery. Officiating will be Rev. Bethany P. Wood, pastor of Bethany United Methodist Church, Hughesville.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made to Lycoming Unit American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.

Keith C. Schuyler Sr.

Keith C. Schuyler Sr., 89, of Berwick, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008 at the Berwick Hospital Center.

Born in Berwick on June 10, 1919, he was a son of the late Glenn and Ethel Schuyler.

He was married for 66 years to Eloise (Helt) Schuyler, whom he married Jan. 17, 1942.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Bradley Schuyler and his wife, Margaret of Muncy; a daughter-in-law, Fannie Schuyler of Muncy; and four grandchildren, Nicole Allen and husband James, B.J. Houseweart, Keith C. Schuyler, III and Sharon Schuyler, all of Muncy; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Kline of Bloomsburg.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Brian and Keith, Jr., and two brothers, Stanley and Wayne Schuyler.

Funeral services were held collectively Nov. 11 at the Kelchner-McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Berwick, and on Nov. 12, at Christ Episcopal Church, Berwick. Rev. Robert M. Lindberg officiated. Interment with military honors was in the Elan Memorial Park, Lime Ridge.

Memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, Columbia Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701-3945.
