Edith Steele Moore, 82, of 286 Confer Lane, Muncy, died Friday, March 9, 2012, at Valley View Nursing Center in Montoursville.
Born Sept. 3, 1929 in Colley, Sullivan County, she was a daughter of the late Burton and Annie (Junk) Steele. On Sept. 29, 1946, she married J. E. Moore, who survives.
Edith retired in the early 80’s from the former Warshaw Manufacturing in Montoursville, where she worked as a weaver. She was a dedicated member of First United Methodist Church, Muncy. Edith devoted her life to her family and her church, possessing a great love for her grandchildren and maintaining close relationships to her many friends. She also was a huge fan of the New York Yankees and was well known for her cooking skills.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 65 years are two daughters and one son-in-law, Pat Moore of Harrisburg and Sandy Moore and Brad Christ of Hershey; one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Vikki Moore of Harrisburg; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, John, who died in 1997, and nine siblings.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, at First United Methodist Church, 602 S. Market St., Muncy. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. Michael R. Gardy. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.

Charles Easton Lively, Jr.
Charles Easton Lively, Jr. 59, of Muncy, passed away on March 7, 2012 at the Gatehouse following an extended illness.
Born August 25, 1952 in Prince Georges County, Maryland, he was a son of the late Charles Easton and Florence (Magruder) Lively Ferguson.
Charles attended Parkland High School in Maryland and various automotive training and technical schools in the Washington D.C. area. He worked as a service station manager and mechanic in Maryland prior to locating to the Muncy area in 1983. After moving to Muncy, Charles managed a Radio Shack store. He also became a member of the Teamsters Union and worked several years as an over-the-road truck driver for McCormick Dray Lines.
He was a member of Community Baptist Church, Montoursville.
Charles enjoyed scuba diving in the Florida Keys, downhill skiing and fishing. He also liked to work on classic automobiles and motorcycles.
Surviving are 3 children, Misty, Shawn and Joshua; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Donna Ferguson of Muncy; and two sisters, Faith Bonner and Martha Johnson both of Lothian, MD.
In keeping with his wishes, services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701.
Audrey D. Duchman
Audrey D. Duchman, 74, of 577 Old Road, Montgomery, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born April 25, 1937 at her family’s home in Montgomery, she was a daughter of the late Lester Sr. and Pearl (Wertman) Page. On Sept. 30, 1954 she married Charles W. Duchman, Sr., who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 2012, after 57 years of marriage.
Audrey was a 1956 graduate of Montgomery High School. She retired from SCI, Muncy, in 2000 after 13 years of employment as a mental health worker aid. She previously worked at the former Montgomery Mills.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, Montgomery, and was a charter member of the Montgomery Lioness Club, where she served as treasurer and was an active member for 26 years. In addition to her commitment to the Lioness, she spent a good deal of time assisting her husband with his activities in the Montgomery Lions Club. Audrey was also a member of the Monsey Chapter 481 Order of the Eastern Star and the Montgomery Senior Citizens, where she served as Program Chairman. She treasured the camping weekends she spent with her family at Nittany Mt. Campground in New Columbia, and was especially fond of the time she spent with her family and grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and solving word puzzles.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Jr. and Susan Duchman of Williamsport and Paul Sr. and Vanessa Duchman of Odenton, MD; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathleen and Elwood Kessler of Locke, NY; one brother and sister-in-law, Lester Jr. and Donna Page of Florida; one sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Richard James of Altoona; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Daniel) Griffin, Brian Kessler, Kevin (Devon) Kessler, Michele (Rich) Rodarmel, Cody Duchman, Christopher Duchman and Paul Duchman, Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 19 at St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, 196 Brick Church Road, Montgomery. Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. Viking Dietrich. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy and again from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church prior to the funeral.

James Weimer Hull
James Weimer Hull, 72, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully at Manor Care South, surrounded by family and loved ones on Nov. 7, 2008.
Born Dec. 14, 1935 in Muncy, he was the son of the late Alem Price and Constance Turner Hull.
He grew up in Montgomery, graduating with the class of 1955 and earning a B.A. in pre-law at Lycoming College in 1961. He also served as a naval reservist for eight years.
A passionate auto enthusiast whose collection once spanned more than 95 cars, he was a founding member of the Susquehannock Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America, serving as their first secretary and participating in many club activities. He served as senior judge for the aforementioned and for the Classic Car Club of America. He fully restored a 1929 Model A Ford Town Sedan Delivery, which won a national first prize senior award in AACA competition. In 1968, he shipped the car to South Africa to compete with over 100 cars in the Mobil Veteran and Vintage Antique Car Rally over nine days and 2,000 miles.
He was the president of the Montgomery Water Company, and later owned Williams Steno Service and the Williamsport Mobile Telephone Company with former wife Mary Mason Hull. He also restored the original brick house at Spring Garden on Warrensville Rd.
Mr. Hull was a kind and gentle man, whose love for the automobile and crafting, a good deal was surpassed only by the love for his sons. He will be best known as the devoted caregiver for his quadriplegic son, Eric W., a 1992 graduate of Loyalsock High School, who died in 1997.
He is survived by his son Jason C. and his companion Christine Hall; brother Alem “Sonny” and son Randy, brother Marshall (Connie) and son Mark (Jenny) and daughter Tracy.
The family expresses their thanks to his extended family at Manor Care for all their loving care over the last four years.
Funeral services were held Nov. 11 from Sanders Mortuary, Williamsport, with Pastor Jack Delaney officiating. Burial was in Muncy Cemetery.
Beverly D. Karschner
Beverly D. Karschner, 86, of 2430 E. Hills Drive, Williamsport, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at the Gatehouse Hospice Center in Williamsport.
Born April 14, 1926 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Frank Nicholas and Dorothy Mae (Edwards) Hofer. Her husband of 29 years, LeRoy Franklin Karschner, preceded her in death on March 12, 2009.
A graduate of Williamsport High School, Beverly was employed for 37 years in the telephone industry, retiring from Verizon. She was a member of United Commercial Travelers and a former member of A.B.W.A, the Bell Pioneers and Bell Telephone Retirees. In her spare time she enjoyed round and western square dancing and working on crafts.
Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Burton and Peggy Hofer of Mechanicsburg and Frank and Dorothy Hofer of Odessa, Florida; one sister-in-law, Edith Sampsell of Williamsport; nieces and nephews; and her dearly loved toy poodle, Tippy.
The funeral will be held at noon on Monday, April 23, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy. Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 11 am to noon on Monday at the funeral home.
