Margaret E. (Monnie) Fredericks, 78, of the Pine Haven Apartments Lock Haven, and formerly of 109 W. Main St., Lock Haven, died Saturday, June 22, at the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit. She was preceded in death by her husband John W. Fredericks Jr. on May 25, 1985. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tues. June 25, in Yost-Gedon’s, 121 W. Main St. Lock Haven. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m on Monday.
Anna B. Frye
Anna B. Frye, 66, of Arnot, died June 22, 2002, at the Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, Wellsboro. She was born in Blossburg on April 15, 1936, a daughter of Stanley and Mary Tokarz Gublo.
Anna enjoyed baking, a talent used well while serving as a cook at the Arnot Sportsman Club. She was also an active member of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Arnot.
She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, David Frye; 2 sisters, Frances Beechey of Montoursville and Dorothy Lahr of Mechanicsburg, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Zwicharowski Funeral Home, Blossburg, with a vigil service at 7:30 p.m. Prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Fox, officiating. A private burial will be held in the St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, 138 St. Mary’s St., Blossburg, Pa. 16912.
Marie M. Kohl
Marie M. Kohl, 81, of Hilbolt Street, Wellsboro, Pa., died Nov. 3, 2002, at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro. She was the wife of Sheldon C. Kohl, who died Feb. 9, 1984. Marie was born March 19, 1921, in Bound Brooke, N.J., the daughter of the late Fred and Mary Pierrot Schaub.
She was a housewife, and she and her husband owned and operated Kohl’s Orchard in Ansonia for many years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, past president of Wellsboro Senior Citizens, past president of Wellsboro Women’s Bowling League, longtime volunteer at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, and a member of Ansonia Cemetery Board of Directors.
Surviving are her companion, Stewart Kline of Marsh Creek, Pa.; son, Kenneth C. Kohl of Warren, N.J.; daughter, Margaret V. Kohl of Green Township, N.J.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Kline of Wellsboro, Verna Del Gobbo of Middlesex, N.J., Edith Harper of East Brunswick, N.J., and Isabelle Resnick of Bridgewater, N.J.
She was predeceased by one son, Sheldon F. Kohl.
Friends may call at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, a “Life Celebration Home,” 139 Main St., Wellsboro, Pa. from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today. A Wake Service will be held at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Central Ave., Wellsboro, with Father Peter Menghini officiating. Burial in Ansonia Cemetery.

Bruice H. Hagenbuch
Bruice H. Hagenbuch, 89, of Danville, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002.
Surviving are a brother, I. Walter and a sister, Julia C. Hagenbuch, both of Danville.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway St., Turbotville, with the Rev. Melody Sell officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday.
C. LaRue Bedford
C. LaRue Bedford, 87, of 55 Sherwood Drive, Montgomery, formerly of Montoursville, died Friday, Nov. 1, 2002, at Williamsport Hospital. Born Jan. 20, 1915 in Picture Rocks, he was the son of Russell and Hulda Long Bedford.
He retired in 1997 after 26 years as a supervisor for Valley Farms Dairy in Williamsport. He was a life member of the North Bay Community Church, Clearwater, Fla., and a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Montoursville. He was a member of the Eureka Lodge, 335 F & AM, the Williamsport Consistory, and the Zafar Grotto.
He and his wife, the former Dora E. Miller were marriage 57 years. She died Oct. 10, 1995.
He is survived by a son, Stephen L. Bedford of Gaithersburg, Md.; a daughter, Sharon L. Cancilla of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Teresa Beck, Deborah Zacherl, Ashley and Sarah Bedford; and four great-grandchildren.
There will be a memorial graveside service 1 p.m. Tuesday at Montoursville Cemetery with his pastor, Rev. Paul C. Murphy, officiating. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to National Parkinson’s Foundation, 1501 NW 9th Street, Miami, Fla. 33136.

Dr. James Robert Smith
Dr. James Robert Smith, 54, of Calif., passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2002.
Local survivors include an aunt, Helen Murphy of Montoursville; and two cousins, Mike Murphy of Montoursville and Carol Murphy D’Mar Shimun of Calif.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, from the Homer Funeral Home, Dushore, Pa., and will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore.
Joyce C. Edwards
Joyce C. Edwards, 80, lifelong resident of Arnot, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at her home.
Born March 19, 1922 in Arnot, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Bertha Franke Krause.
Joyce was a member of Arnot Presbyterian Church and its ladies aid society.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan (Gordy) Berguson of Arnot; two sons, Larry (Rita) Edwards of Oklahoma City and Dean (Lori) Edwards of Elgin, Okla.; six grandchildren, Todd and Kevin Berguson, Thomas, Nicole, Justin, and Shanna Edwards; five great-grandchildren, Heather and Brittany Edwards, Mariah, Shaelyn and Dylan Berguson; a brother, Samuel Krause of Sebring; and a sister, Bernice Abbott of Port Charlott, Fla.
She was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, James Edwards on Sept. 13, 1996 and a grandson, Jonathon Edwards in 2000.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Richard H. ‘Dick’ Thompson
Richard H. “Dick” Thompson, of Phoenix, Ariz., went to be with the Lord Oct. 28, 2002. Dick was born May 15, 1938, in Waterbury, Conn. to James and Simone Menard Thompson.
He was a graduate of Williamsport High School in 1957 and a longtime resident of Bristol, Conn.
The death by his parents and sister, Lucille.
Dick is survived by his wife Betty Getz Thompson and five children, Kim Enigk, Michael (Laurie), Wade (Stacey) of Phoenix, Ariz; Kevin (Jennifer) of N.J., and Beth Hughes (Robert) of L.A. “Pap” was also blessed with 9 grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at Maryville Chapel, Ariz.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made to the American Diabetic Assoc. or a charity of choice.
