Paul LaRue Bennett, 79, of 1900 Ravine Road, Williamsport, and formerly of Picture Rocks, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002, at the Williamsport Home.
Mr. Bennett had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Bennett was a member of the Picture Rocks Baptist Church.
Paul had served on the Picture Rocks Borough Council and had been president of that group. He had also served on the Picture Rocks Board of Elections.
He was a member of the Lycoming, East Lycoming, and Muncy Historical Societies.
Paul enjoyed painting and was a watercolor artist.
He had been employed for 42 years at the former Keeler-Dorr Oliver Company at Williamsport.
Born May 26, 1923 at Williamsport, he was the son of the late Horace Delbert and Violet Ella Hessler Bennett.
Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Peko of Richmond, Va., Carol Faber of Leesburg, Va., and Laurel Hager of Wentzville, Mo.; two sons, George Bennett of Florence, S.C. and Joe Bennet of Dillsburg; one brother, Horace D. Bennett Jr. of Bloomsburg; 10 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his sister, the late Elizabeth McCloskey.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2002 at the Picture Rocks Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles B. Mercer, pastor, will officiate and the Rev. Robert E. Berger, retired Baptist pastor and long time family friend, will assist. Interment will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Picture Rocks Baptist Church, Elm Street, Picture Rocks, on Saturday morning, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Flowers will be provided.

Evalyn Grace Way
Evalyn Grace Way, 86, of 1900-C Ravine Road, Willamsport, formerly of Race Street, died at her home Sunday, Oct. 27, 2002.
Born April 15, 1916, in Salladasburg, she was a daughter of Wilbur T. and Alma G. Pepperman Guinter.
She was a 1934 graduate of Jersey Shore High School and worked 17 years at Stroehmann’s Bakery. She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and former member of Eagle United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan Bickel of city; 2 stepdaughters, Elaine Evans and Dolores Sechrist of New Castle, Del.; a stepson, Willard Way of Santee, Calif.; five grandchildren; 12 step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
Evalyn was preceded in death by her first husband, John Oscar Reaser, in 1960; her second husband, Roy R. Way, in 1999; a son, Robert L. Reaser in 1983; and brothers Harold and Clyde Guinter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Kraig L. Faust officiating. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends may call at Sanders from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Margery F. (Mix) Farrell Hitchcock
Margery F. (Mix) Farrell Hitchcock, 81, of Mansfield, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro. She was the wife of Wendell “Slick” Hitchcock.
Friends are invited to call from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, P.C. 637 S. Main St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Carlson Funeral Home, Inc., Brockway, Pa.
Christopher L. Heffner
Christopher L. Heffner, 39, of Blossburg, Pa. died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002. Chris was the husband of Leesa (Harry) Heffner.
Friends are invited to call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held following the visitation Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery.
Dennis L. Guizar
Dennis L. Guizar, 55, of Williamsport, died at his residence on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002.
Funeral services will be held at the Maxwell Funeral Home in Renovo at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Richard Guizar officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Peter Bryan Hoffman
Peter Bryan Hoffman, 55, died Dec. 28, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was born in Muncy, one of two children, to John and Joyce Hoffman.
Peter went to grade school in Greenbelt, Md. and graduated from high school in Hughesville.
He is survived by his wife, Julie of Las Vegas; two sons, William and Eric, both of Tyeras, N.M.; and his mother, Joyce of Greenbelt, Md.
Peter’s father, John, and sister, Susan, predeceased him.
Robert L. Angeli
Robert L. Angeli, 84, of Williamsport, died Jan. 2, 2003, at his home. He was the husband of Dorothy L. Angeli.

Theodore Sessamen Jr.
Mr. Theodore Roosevelt Sessamen Jr., 69, of 140 State St., Antes Fort, died Monday, December 30, 2002, in the Manor Care North Health Center in Williamsport.
Born December 7, 1933, in Jersey Shore, he was the son of Theodore R. Sessamen Sr. and the former Ruth Evelyn Bertin.
Surviving is 1 sister, Mrs. Anna Mae Krape of Antes Fort and 1 nephew, Barry C. Krape of Basstress.
He was retired from the New York Dept. of Highways. For many years he was a member of the Jersey Shore American Legion. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and darts.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 3, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Rev. Theodore C. VanSchoick will officiate.
