Mrs. Isabella “NON” F. Casale
Mrs. Isabella F. “NON” Casale, 88, of 377 E. Fourth St., Williamsport, died Saturday, June 15, 2002 at her home.
She was the widow of the late Joseph H. Casale who preceded her in death on August 14, 1966. Born January 4, 1914 at Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Alvin H. and Anna M. Wease Seese.
Mrs. Casale retired on February 1, 1976 after 45 years of service in the Cake Division of the former Stroehmann Brothers Bakery, Williamsport.
Mrs. Casale was a member of the South Williamsport Senior Citizens and the Top of the Hill Club, Williamsport. She had been a volunteer for more than 20 years with the Meals on Wheels program. She enjoyed traveling.
Surviving are her daughter, Antonia M. (John T.) Flook, South Williamsport, two granddaughters; Christine M. (Kurt) Caruso, Duboistown, and Deanna M. Flook, Williamsport, one grandson; Joseph M. (Terri) Flook, Nisbet; two sisters; Betty Dockey, Pahrump, Nev., and Mary Croman, Mechanicsburg, five great-grandchildren, Cassandra, Carissa and Melissa Flook, and Nicholas and Anthony Caruso.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters; Emma and Florence and three brothers, William, Herman, and Harold.
A service in celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at the Wings of Love Community Church, 699 Southmont Ave., South Williamsport. The Rev. John C. Butler, pastor, will officiate. There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Williamsport.
Contributions in memory of Mrs. Isabella F. Casale may be made to the building fund, Wings of Love Community Church, 699 Southmont Ave., South Williamsport, PA 17702 or to Susquehanna Regional Home Health Hospice, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
Arrangements are being directed by Noll Funeral Home, 1 E. Central Ave., South Williamsport.

Fred C. Bieber
Fred C. Bieber, 88, of 7166 Rt. 405 Highway, Montgomery, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.
His wife of 51 years, the former Helen L. Whitmoyer, died Nov. 10, 1986.
He was employed by the Tidewater Pipe Co. from 1931 until 1954. He then worked in the maintenance department at Keystone Filler until 1978, when he retired after 23 1/2 years of service.
He was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Watsontown.
Surviving are one son, Robert R. Bieber of Montgomery; one daughter, Laura R. Bartlow of Muncy; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Muncy Cemetery on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. W. Stevens Shipman, Jr.
There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Wallis-Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.

Mildred “Millie” Allen
Mildred “Millie” Allen, 94, died Saturday evening, June 15, 2002 at Manor Care North in Williamsport where she had been a guest for 7 years. She died as a result of a lengthy illness.
She was born in Barnesboro, Indiana County, June 7, 1908 a daughter of William and Elizabeth Stephens Weakland.
Her first husband, Horace E. Johns and her second husband Elmer A. Allen preceded her in death.
Her survivors include 2 sons, Horace E. Johns, Jr. of Redding, CA and Jay W. Johns of Webster, NY, 2 daughters, Beverly Ann Howard of the city and Samice Kay Martin of Vista, CA, 2 brothers, Alfred Weakland of FL and Bernard Weakland of AZ, 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by a son John “Ted” Allen.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday June 18, 2002 from the Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd. “A Life Celebration Home,” 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport, PA. Burial will be in the Montoursville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Assoc., 71 N. Franklin St., Kirby Health Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701 or American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, Pa 17701.

Mary Gertrude Tolen
Mary Gertrude Tolen, 83, of Williamsport, died June 16, 2002, at the Williamsport Hospital.
She was born Nov. 23, 1918, in Sunbury, the daughter of George E. and Ruth Smith.
She was a member of the Church of the Annunciation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Tolen, in 1973.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Lou (Robert M.) Ray of Rochester, NY and Sara (Richard K.) Greevy of Hockessin, DE; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church of the Annunciation, West Fourth and Walnut Sts., on Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Jack Kita officiating.
Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 9 until 9:45 a.m.
Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Lycoming Unit of the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport or to the American Lung Association of Central PA, 1857 E. Third St., Williamsport.
Crouse Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Fred M. Thayer Sr.
Fred M. Thayer, Sr., 96, of 1201 Rural Ave., Williamsport, died Sunday, June 16, 2002, in RoseView Center. His wife of 62 years, the former Bernice E. Trowbridge, died in 1998.
Mr. Thayer was born March 10, 1906, in Ithaca, NY, where he spent most of his life prior to moving here in 1997. He operated the Ithaca Fuel Supply Company for many years and was active in numerous community and church affairs in the Ithaca area.
Surviving are a daughter, Ruth E. (Bernie) Shaeffer of Goletta, CA; a son, Fred M. (Pat) Thayer, Jr., of city; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held in his church, Danby Federated Church, 1859 Danby Road, Ithaca, NY 14850, at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Revs. Charles Hakes and Don Moody officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorials be made to the church.

Albert R. Hauke
Albert R. Hauke, age 93, formerly of Rose St. and Pine Haven Apartments, died Saturday, June 15, 2002 at the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of Christ, Water and Vesper St., Lock Haven.
Interment will be in the Blanchard Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may call at the Yost-Gedon’s, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and one half hour before the services on Tuesday at the church.

Albert R. Hauke
Albert R. Hauke, 96, of Lock Haven, died June 15, 2002, at the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit, having entered the hospital one week ago.
Survivors include one daughter, Janet L. Bitner of Horsham; three granddaughters, Cindy (Garry) Pepple, Pamela Shapshak and Judi (Jim) Handel and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. today in the First Church of Christ, corner of Water and Vesper Sts., Lock Haven.
