Betty Jean Evans, 71, of Mansfield, Pa., died April 13, 2003, at the Green Home in Wellsboro.
She was born July 20, 1931, in Rexford, Pa., a daughter of Harold and Hazel Waters Cleveland.
Betty Jean and her husband Ralph were the retired owners of Ralph’s Ford in Mansfield.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield.
Betty Jean is survived by her husband of 53 years; a daughter, Judith Evans of Mansfield; sons and daughters-in-law, John of Sayre, Pa., James and Janet of Endwell, N.Y., and Jeffrey and Kathleen of Mansfield; sisters, Connie Heller of Big Flats, N.Y.; Sarah Austin of Horseheads, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gary Wilston Funeral Home, 18 N. Main St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held there at 1 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Richard Berg, her pastor, and Rev. Canon Rudolph vanderHeil officiating. Burial will be in Welsh Settlement Cemetery, Wellsboro.
Aileen F. McGill
Aileen F. McGill, 84, formerly of South Williamsport, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at Manor Care North.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest C. McGill, in 1987.
Aileen was born Aug. 12, 1918, in Jersey Shore, the daughter of Ellery and Phroine Shively Fenstamaker.
She was employed as a manager at the Double U Steakhouse.
Aileen was a member of First United Methodist Church, and also the Order of Easter Star #321. She enjoyed plants, especially African Violets.
She is survived by a stepson, William McGill of Sugarloaf; four stepdaughters, Bonnie Lee Harstead of South Williamsport, Helen Bieghtol of Williamsport, Jane Watts of Chesapeake, Va., and Deborah Sweitzer of Jersey Shore; 13 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a stepson, Robert McGill.
A celebration of Aileen’s life will begin with a visitation on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Maneval Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home,” 500 W. Fourth St. Services will begin at 11 with her pastor, the Rev. Dennis L. Otto and Rev. Robert L. Close officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.
John S. Rampulla
John S. Rampulla, 84, of 2075 Sheridan St., died Monday, April 14, 2003, in Manor Care South.
Born Nov. 12, 1918, in Williamsport, he was a son of Phillip and Sebastiana Leta Rampulla.
An Army veteran of World War II, John received a Purple Heart and Bronze Star, and was a member of VFW Post 7863.
He had been employed by Sweet Steel, Spencer Heater and Sylvania. John was a member of the Church of St. Ann, the Sons of Italy, and umpired for many years at Newberry Little League.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Jean Proietti; two children, Susan Greenleaf of city and George (Diana) of Panama City, Fla.; two granddaughters, Elena Greenleaf and Colleen Rampulla; and two brothers, Tony of city and Benny of Sonoma, Calif.
John was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Phillip; three sisters, Nancy DiSalvo, Rose Bower and Libby Vellott; and his son-in-law, Ralph Greenleaf Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Church of St. Ann, Northway Road and Sheridan St., with the Rev. Andrew Kurovsky officiating. Burial, with military honors by the Korean War Veterans, will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from noon until the time of services on Wednesday.

Jack L. Andrews
Jack L. Andrews, 64, of 64 Spring Road, Hughesville, died April 13, 2003, at the Muncy Valley Hospital, emergency room. He and his wife, the former Judy Keller, celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on July 31. Born Aug. 9, 1938, in Montgomery, he was a son of the late LeRoy and Helen Murphy Andrews.
Jack had previously owned and operated both Andrew’s Disposal Service for 20 years and Falls Hall Skating Rink for four years. Currently, he owned and operated Andrew’s Construction.. Jack was a former Wolf Township Supervisor.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four children, Angela Franek of Montoursville, Susan Stoudt of Hughesville, Lori Budman of Hughesville and Alex Andrews of Colo.; five grandchildren, Sharon Shaner, Rachel Andrews, Adrienne Budman, Alicia Budman and Thomas Franek; a brother, Richard Andrews of Hughesville and a sister, Marie Sholder of Williamsport. Jack is preceded in death by a grandson, Eric Shaner and a sister, Jane Baker.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday at McCarty-Thomas’, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with Pastor Donald W. Miller of the White Hall Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Picture Rocks Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:30 to 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will provide the flowers.

Helen Shilkoskie Richlin
Helen Shilkoskie Richlin, 93, of Forks Township, died Monday, April 14, 2003.
Surviving are a son; five daughters, including the local Margaret and Bernard Fedroff of Montoursville; a sister; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore. No visitation.

Dorothy E. Cooper
Dorothy E. (Hackett) Cooper, 82, of Elmira, N.Y., died Monday, April 14, 2003.
She is survived by her stepson, Robert “Bob” Cooper of Mansfield; three grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at Caywood’s Funeral Home and Gardens, Southport, N.Y., with services to follow at 2:30 p.m.

Dave Zinn
Dave Zinn, 73, died on April 5, 2003, in Scottsdale, Ariz., following a long illness. He grew up in Williamsport, graduated from Penn State and built a successful career as a jet engine specialist and project manager for General Electric and Honeywell.
He enjoyed a second career as an outdoor writer and photographer. Dave spent his happiest months fly fishing, hunting, watching college ball and dreaming about his next convertible sports car. Montana really was Dave’s last, best place.
Dave is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy; three daughters, Barb, Kathy and Laurie; brothers, Don and Bob; sister, Joanne; grandsons, Steven and David; his faithful dog, Butte and more friends than he could count.
