Norman E. Briggs, 76, of Southern Avenue, South Williamsport, died Friday, April 4, 2003, at his home.
Born in Rochester, N.Y., Dec. 10, 1926, he was a son of David and Alice Dolmage Briggs.
He is survived by a brother, Roy Briggs of Hornell, N.Y. and nieces and nephews.
Services and burial will be in White Haven Memorial Park, Pittsford, N.Y. There will be no visitation.

Myrtle L. Sweet
Myrtle L. Sweet, 82, of Williamsport, died April 9, 2003,at the Sycamore Manor, Montoursville.
She was the wife of the late William N. Hill Sr. She was born May 15, 1920, in Riga, N.Y.
Myrtle was a member of the East Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by a son, William Hill Jr. of the city.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois Hill, who died in 1959.
Graveside services will be held Monday, April 14, 10 a.m., Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
Arrangements are by the Allen & Redmond Funeral.
Lynn L. Wilson
Mr. Lynn L. Wilson, 89, of 1301 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, in the Roseview Manor in Williamsport. Born Aug. 20, 1913, in Prattville, Mich., he was the son of Joseph L. Wilson and the former Daisy M. Held. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary M. Hughes. They were united in marriage Dec. 16, 1934, in Canton.
In 1974, he retired from Halls Motor Transfer after many years of service. For many years he was a member of the Teamsters Local #762 and attended the Steam Valley Bible Church.
Surviving besides his wife, are a son, Ross L. Wilson of Pine City, N.Y.; a daughter, Lynda G. McCracken of Corry; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Zane L. Wilson Nov. 29, 1968.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 11, 2003, at 11 a.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Summit Cemetery at White Pine. Rev. Gerald Peet, his pastor, will officiate.
June K. Traub
June K. Traub, 80, of Germania, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003.
Surviving are two sons, a daughter-in-law, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 11, at the Collins-Olney Funeral Home, Galeton. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Matthaeus Lutheran Church, Germania.
John J. Collins
John J. Collins Sr., Galeton Funeral Director and Galeton Mayor, 79, of Galeton, a Blossburg native, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, in the funeral home where he had worked since 1955.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret; a son, Jay Collins of Hershey; a daughter, Mary Jo (K.C.) Newton of Coudersport; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary (Bill) Watkins of Blossburg and Margaret Horton of Mansfield.
Friends may call at St. Bibiana Church, Galeton, on Saturday, April 12, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, with a Mass of Christian Burial following at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Galeton Library Building Fund, Galeton, PA 16922.

Frank L. Marzzacco
Frank L. Marzzacco, 88, of 624 North Maple Ave., Ridgway, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Elk Haven Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 5, 1915, in Jersey Shore, the son of Charles and Angela Pagnotto Marzzacco. He marriage Beatrice R. Nardi who predeceased him Feb. 6, 2002. Mr. Marzzacco was a graduate of Lock Haven State University, where he was captain of the boxing team and went undefeated for four years. He received his Master’s Degree from New York University. He was a Ridgway area resident for 50 years. He was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church, the Elks, Lions and K of C. He taught Health and Physical Education in the Horton Twp. and Ridgway Area School Districts. Frank coached basketball and tennis, and he was a long time referee for football and basketball.
He served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the South Pacific.
He is survived by two daughters, Harry A. (Marianne) Brian of Johnson City, Tenn. Randy (Francine) DaCanal of Cherryville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Tara and Frankie Brian and Kristen and Bryan DaCanal; and by three sisters, Rose Martorelli of Old Forge, Magdalene Angelella of Old Forge and Carrie Sanneman of Hilton Head, S.C.
He was predeceased by his wife, parents, two sisters, Mary Nolf and Lucy Surace and by three brothers, Carl, Joe and William Marzzacco.
Mass of Christian Burial for Frank Marzzacco will be celebrated at St. Leo’s Catholic Church Friday, April 11, at noon. Officiating will be Fr. D. G. Davis. Interment will be in St. Leo’s Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.

Fay R. Clark
Fay R. Clark, age 95, of R.D. 5 Wellsboro, died April 9, 2003, at the Green Home.
He was the husband of the late Pauline Johnson Clark, who died Oct. 10, 1996.
Fay was born Sept. 30, 1907, in Delmar Township, the son of the late Ralph and Grace Wilson Clark. He was a retired carpenter and former employee of the former Jones Body Shop, Wellsboro. He was of the Methodist faith and a Navy veteran during World War II.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews and a Special Friend, Audrey “Ruby” Torpy of Wellsboro.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Willis Martin officiating. Burial in Wellsboro Cemetery.

Fawn Amber McCarty
Miss Fawn Amber McCarty, age 17, of Dushore, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at the Robert Packer Hospital, following an automobile accident.
Fawn was born in Towanda, on March 25, 1986. She was a very active member of the Junior Class of the Sullivan County High School. She was the boy’s soccer manager and a cheerleader for the boy’s basketball team. She was also a member of the prom committee.
Surviving are her parents, Vikki Bodnar of Dushore and Michael Bodnar of Wyalusing; her sister, Fallon M. Bodnar, at home; maternal grandparents, Roger and Carol Samuels of Forksville and Roger Gurka of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.; paternal grandmother, Betty Bodnar of Wyalusing; great-grandmothers, Elizabeth Gurka of Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y. and LaRue Samuels of Breiningsville; aunt, Melissa Gurka of Berrien Springs, Mich.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 11, 2003, at St. Basil’s Church, Dushore at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Michael B. Harris, pastor, presiding.
Friends may call at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
