JERSEY SHORE - Louise A. Stevenson, 79, of 52 Short St. died Monday, June 12, 2000, in the Jersey Shore Hospital emergency room after being stricken at home. Her husband, Wilmer J. Stevenson, died in 1957. She was a sewing machine operator for the former Bobbie Brooks, Lock Haven. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church. Born Oct. 24, 1920, in Blackwell, she was a daughter of Dominick and Domenica Dagnesa Peluso. Surviving are three daughters, Martha L. Ohl of Bath, Josephine A. Embick, with whom she lived, and Mary J. Embick of Linden; two sons, Wilmer J. of Cogan Station and John A. of Jersey Shore; three sisters, Theresa, Lula and Jenny Peluso, sll of Jersey Shore; a brother, Vincent Peluso of Lock Haven; 18 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church, 120 Kendall Ave., with the Rev. Andrew S. Hvozdovk, officiating. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Edith I. Stull
Edith I. Stull, 99, died Monday, June 12, 2000, in the Williamsport Home. Her husband, LeRoy B. Stull, died April 15, 1987. She helped her husband with maintenance at Woodward Township Elementary School. She was a member of a senior citizens organization and Christian Women. She was a member of Linden Presbyterian Church, a former Sunday school teacher and deacon. Born March 29, 1901, in this city, she was a daughter of Harry and Florence Bell Reaser. Surviving are only nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sander’s, 821 Diamond St., with the Rev. Clarence Reaser, of Martinsville, Va., her nephew, officiating. Burial will be in Woodward Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Eloise V. Eshenaur
WATSONTOWN - Eloise V. Eshenaur, 89, of Baylor Road since 1948, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Kramm Nursing Home where she had been since 1997. Her husband C. Truman Eshenaur died Nov. 25, 1976. She enjoyed needlework especially embroidering. She was a member of First Lutheran Church. Born Sept. 2, 1910, in Sharpsburg, Md., she was a daughter of James and Tena Bradshers. Surviving are a son, Wendell R. of Watsontown; two grandsons, David and Dwayne; and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Cronrath’s, 308 Main St., with the Rev. Dr. Terrence Goad, officiating. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
William H. Fowler
William H. Fowler, 68, of Olmsted Township, Ohio, a city native, died Wednesday, June 7, 200 in North Ridgeville, Ohio. He was a field engineer world wide installing processing lines for steel, stainless steel and aluminum. He was a 1949 graduate of Williamsport High School. He served in the Coast Guard during the Korean War. He was born in this city a son of Robert and Mildred Fowler. Surviving are his wife, the former Charlotte McKinney; two daughters, Sharon Luskin of North Ridgeville and Karen Estep of North Royalton, Ohio; a son, William H. Jr. of Olmsted Township; a brother, Robert E. Jr.; four grandchildren, Jessica, Blake Luskin, Michael and Edward Estep.
Ellen Irene Haley
Ellen Irene Haley, 60, of this city, died Saturday, June 13, 2000, at Bad Godesberg, Germany. She and her husband, David k. Haley, observed their 36th wedding anniversary Sept. 23. She had been a teacher. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. Born Aug. 6, 1939 in Duesseldorf, Germany, she was a daughter of Wilhelm and Irene Schroers. Surviving, besides her husband, of this city, are her father of Bad Godesberg; a daughter, Alexa of Kingston, Ontario, Canada; a son, Geoffery of Hollywood, Calif.; and a brother, Joachim Schroers of Bad Godesberg. A local memorial service is being planned.
Louise V. Heller
Louise V. Heller, 88, of 604 George St., South Williamsport, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at home. She worked for 30 years in the shoe department of L.L.Stearns and Sons Department Store. She was a member of the Williamsport Hospital Auxiliary and American Business Women’s Association. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport. Born April 27, 1912, in South Williamsport, she was a daughter of William A. and Wilhelmina Frantz Mortimer. Surviving are a son, Frank N. of South Williamsport; a daughter, Patricia L. Michael of South Williamsport; a brother, Walter S. Mortimer of New York; two sisters, M. Christine Mortimer of Montoursville and Mary E. Bastian of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and a grandson, Daniel F. Michael. She was preceded in death by six brothers, George L., William A., Eugene L., Paul R., Robert L. and Karl F. Mortimer. A private memorial service will be at the church at he convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Allen and Redmond’s, 331 Elmira St.
John D. Mulno
John D. Mulno, 79, formerly of McCallum Manor, Canton, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Bradford County Manor, Burlington. His wife, the former Marion I. Tillotson died Jan. 2, 1992. He worked in the logging and farming industries. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and collecting and selling antiques. He was a catholic. Born Nov. 20, 1920, in Franklindale, Bradford County, he was a son of Wallace and Florence Rhineheart Mulno. Surviving are two sons, John W. and James, both of Canton; a brother, Luther of Tioga Nursing Home, Waverly, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight sisters, Hazel Labaca, Pearl Williams, Dorothy Webster, Dolly Hafer, Emma Chapman, Grace Broughton, Lillian Heman and Marion Broughton. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Franklindale Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Pepper’s, Springbrook Drive, Canton.
Freida E. Shannon
Freida E. Shannon, 95, of Country Meadows, Hershey, formerly of this city, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Integrated Health Services of Hershey, Woodlands, Hershey. She was the widow of Ferd W. Coleman and James P. Shannon. She was a volunteer at Williamsport and Divine Providence Hospitals and later at ManorCare Health Services. She had also volunteered at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She enjoyed playing bridge. She was a member of First Church of Christ. Surviving are two sons, Don B. Coleman of Cincinnatti, Ohio and Peter B. Coleman of Peacedale, R.I.; two daughters, Sylvia C. Dick of Hershey and Diane C. Simpson of Lauderdale by the Sea, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Allen and Redmond’s, 331 Elmira St., with the Rev. Bruce Druckenmiller, officiating. burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
John William Zimmerman
John William Zimmerman, 71, of Avis, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at home. He and his wife, Linda Zimmerman, observed their 30th wedding anniversary Oct. 30. He retired in January from Summit Hollow Housing Project, Avis, after 10 years and had previously worked for 26 years at American Color and Chemical, Lock Haven. He served in the Army for three years. He enjoyed hunting. He was a methodist. Born Jan. 10, 1929, in Lock Haven, he was a son of John and Margaret Fravel Zimmerman. Surviving, besides his wife, are two daughters, Diane Fera of Jersey Shore RR and Tonya Stocum of Antes Fort; two sons, James I. Andrus of McEllhatten and David J. of Montgomery; a sister, Mary Bowman of Mill Hall RR; two brothers, Charles and George, both of Mill Hall RR; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A private service will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Mount Bethel Cemetery, Mill Hall RR. Arrangements are being handled by Yost-Gedon’s, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

Victim of Fire
Steve E. Baney, 36, of 660 Second Ave. died Sunday, June 11, 2000, as a result of a fire in the apartment building in which he lived. He was employed as a maintenance engineer with Shop-Vac Corp. He also had been employed for nine years with Grummond. He was a Williamsport Area High School graduate. He was a member of Garden View Church of Christ. He was active with Newberry Little League. Born March 31, 1964, in Williamsport, he was a son of John C. and Sandra M. Sechrist Baney Sr. He is survived by two sons, Steven E. Jr. and Cory A., two daughters, Amanda N. and Samantha L., all of this city, and two brothers, John of McElhattan, and Dave and Rick, both of this city; three sisters, Chitina, Valerie L. and Veronica, all of this city; and two step-sisters, Bernadette Baney of Waverly, N.Y., and Nancy Burshele of this city, and his former wife, Barbara Baney. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday at Allen and Redmond’s, 331 Elmira St. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery RR 2. Friends may call the funeral home from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday.

LOCK HAVEN - Connie Bower, 55, of 2 Park Ave. died Tuesday, June 13, 2000 in the extended care unit of Lock Haven Hospital. She and her husband, Raymond E. Bower, observed thier 37th wedding anniversary Dec. 21. She was an employee of the Hammermill Paper Co. until 1999. She was a graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School. She was a social member of the Castanea Fire Hall, and enjoyed crafts, sewing and bingo. Born December 6, 1944, she was a daughter of Oscar and Myrtle Ramser Heaton. Surviving, besides her husband, are a son, Raymond E. Bower Jr. of Lock Haven; a daughter, Kristy Jo Strauss of Gallipolis, Ohio; two brothers, Harold Heaton of Lock Haven, and James Heaton of Salona; two sisters, Ide Allen of Mill Hall, and Helen Brownson of Howard; two grandchildren; and two step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Oscar and Kenneth Heaton; and two sisters, Katherine Ott and Violet Chaplain. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Helt, Hanna, Kline’s, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with the Rev. Ray Helgerman officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven RR 1. Luberta C. Keissling Boyer, 92, formerly of 364 Percy St., South Williamsport, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at ManorCare North. Her first husband, William S. Kiessling, died Sept. 21, 1942, in a city train accident. Her second husband, Franklin Grant Boyer, died Dec. 25, 1976. She was retired as personnel manager from L.L. Stearns and Sons after 37 years. She was a member of Liza Barnes Chapter 321, Order of the Eastern Star; DuBoistown Garden Club; American Business Women’s Association, and the Williamsport Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of DuBoistown United Methodist Church. Born June 31, 1908, in McKees Rocks, she was a daughter of George W. and Mary Agnes Younkin Carson. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann Beasom of DuBoistown; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. A private graveside service at the convenience of the family will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Mildred Mae Brooks,86, of Forsyth Trailer park, Lock Haven, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000 in Wayne Township, McElhatan. She was the widow of Herbert Brooks. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lock Haven. Born February 28, 1914, in Avis, she was a daughter of Herbert and Lydia Dullen Englert. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Lee Walsh, who died in the Korean War. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in the church, Lock Haven, with Msgr. Dennis R. Boggs officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lock Haven. Robert W. Roan III, 36, of 1308 Almond St. died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at Williamsport Hospital. He enjoyed music. Born Feb. 18, 1964, in this city, he was a son of Robert W. and Kathryn E. Doebler Roan Jr. Surviving are his mother, Kathryn E. Chaapel of Cogan Station; a brother, Charles W., and a sister, Debra A., both of this city. He was preceded in death by his father and step-father, Allen Chaapel, and a brother, Terry L. A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Quaker Hill Cemetery, Eldred Township, with Sister Beatrice Kellet, Sisters of Christian Charity, Divine Providence Hospital, officiating. MILL HALL - James E. O’Donnell, 73, of 257 Long Run Road died Monday, June 12, 2000, as a result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident in State College. He and his wife, the former Patricia L. Boatman, observed their 32nd wedding anniversary May 9. He was employed in the food services department of the Bryce Jordan Center, State College. He retired in 1983 from the Postal Service at Jersey Shore. He was a past exalted ruler of Lock Haven Elks Lodge 182 and was involved with Boy Scout Troop 133, Lamar; Bald Eagle Nittany High School Band Parents Association, and the Millbrook Playhouse. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Cedar Heights Brethren in Christ Church. Born March 17, 1927, in this city, he was a son of John and Nina Brown O’Donnell. Surviving, besides his wife, are a daughter, Donna DuFour of Lock Haven; two sons, David E. of Lithia Springs, Ga., and Wayne E. of Honolulu, Hawaii; two sisters, Pearl and Louise; and five grandchildren, Jeremy and Devanie DuFour and Amanda, Greg and Sarah. A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the church, with the Rev. Mark Thornton, officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Stephen A. Cillo, 75, of 1585 Pine Crest Drive, South Williamsport, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, in Williamsport Hospital. He and his wife, the former Ida M. Mayer, observed their 51st wedding anniversary Oct. 2. He was owner and operator of Stephen Supply and Novelty Co., South Williamsport, for many years. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of American Legion Post 617, South Williamsport. He was a member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church. Born April 30, 1925, in this city, he was a son of Nick and Lucy Crispino Cillo. Surviving, besides his wife, are three sons, Stephen Jr. of Norwalk, Ohio, Nick A. of Montoursville and Donald P. of South Williamsport; two brothers, Jerry of Montoursville and Anthony of this city; two sisters, Doris Campanis of State College and Stella Delycure of Montoursville; and eight grandchildren.
