FRESHMAN FOOTBALL Shaw Avenue won the City Freshman title. In a series of two games staged at Memorial Field, the Shaw Avenue gridders took the measure of the George Washington Freshmen twice. 7 to 0 and 20 to 7. Alex Skripkar and Stanley Stahurski were the stars of the first victory, while Francis Paterra and Howard Thompson starred in the second encounter. The Freshman All-Stars, coached by Mr. Wester and Mr. Disegi, put up a tough struggle with Mr. Gees' junior Varsity before losing the battle 7 to 6.
