Terry Lee Jury
POTTSTOWN - Terry Lee Jury, 43, of King Street, Pottstown, formerly of 4556 Back Maitland Road, McClure, died at noon Sunday, March 18, 2001, at the Pottstown Memorial Hospital. Born Jan. 14, 1958, in Lewistown, he was the son of Willis D. and Colleen (Carolus) Jury of 4556 Back Maitland Road, McClure. He was a 1975 graduate of Chief Logan High School. He was the food and beverage director at Pottstown Ramada Inn for 15 years. He attended Paintersville CMA Church and was a member of the Decatur Grange 1920 and the Lewistown Moose Lodge 143. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. George H. Mark officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark's Episcopal Cemetery. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Decatur Grange, 4277 US Hwy 522 N, Lewistown, PA 17044.

Irene L. Kahley
LEWISTOWN - Irene L. Kahley, 95, of 50 Hawsbrick St., Lewistown, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare-William Penn Nursing Home, Lewistown. Born June 16, 1906, in Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late Hilary and Mary (Watts) Leister. Her husband, Alvin Edward Kahley, died in 1969. Surviving are: children, Robert A. Kahley, Montgomery, Shirley Bishop, Mrs. Robert (Anna) Martz, Charles Edward Kahley and Helen Condron, all of Lewistown, Paul Richard Kahley, Reedsville and Mrs. Dale (Mary) Zimmerman, Marysville; a sister, Mildred Anderson, Richfield RR1; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, two great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild. Earlier in life, she had been employed by the American Viscose Corporation, the Arrow Shirt Factory, and the Bell Laundry, all of Lewistown. She was last employed in house cleaning for various home owners. She was a member of the former Hawstone Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and was former secretary/treasurer. She was the oldest resident of Hawstone. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. John R. Grumbine officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, McAlisterville. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Noah S. Kanagy
BELLEVILLE - Noah S. Kanagy, 25, of 65 Purple Martin Lane, Belleville, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at his residence. Born June 13, 1976, in Huntingdon, he was the son of Stephen N. and Lizzie N. (Yoder) Kanagy, of 65 Purple Martin Lane, Belleville. Also surviving are: brothers and sisters, Tobias S. Kanagy, Joshua S. Kanagy, Jonas S. Kanagy, Leah S. Kanagy, Elizabeth Peight, Stephen N. Kanagy, Nancy S. Kanagy, Mary S. Kanagy, all of Belleville, and John S. Kanagy of Jackson, Ohio. He was preceeded in death by an infant brother. He was a member of the Old Order Amish. His funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Late residence. Interment will be at Whitehall Amish Cemetery, Belleville.

Anne A. Karpenko
MCALISTERVILLE - Anne A. Karpenko, 92, of McAlisterville RR2, died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at her residence. Born on Aug. 5, 1908, in a sod house on her parents homestead, south of Butte, ND, she was the eldest daughter of the late Victor N. and Olga (Bursuk) Moseanko. In 1936, she married Fred A. Karpenko, who died Feb. 20, 1947. She is survived by two sons, Lyle Karpenko of McAlisterville and Larry Karpenko of Hamburg; a sister, Mrs. Gus (Stayce) Tachenko of Grassy Butte, ND; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Karpenko and three brothers, George, John and Alec Moseanko. She graduated from Butte High School and earned a lifetime teaching certificate from Minot State Teachers College, Minot, ND. She taught in many public elementary and church schools in North Dakota for 30 years until her retirement in 1977. She was a member of the Mifflintown Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she was active in the Ladies Community Services of ADRA. She was also a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. She enjoyed cooking for guests at her home. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Mifflintown Seventh Day Adventist Church, with Pastor Bernard Mohr officiating. Interment will be held Wednesday in Kief Cemetery, Kief, ND. Friends may call 3 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to: the Mifflintown Seventh Day Adventist Church Building Fund, HCR 63, Box 37, Washington Ave. Ext., Mifflintown, PA 17059 or to The Quiet Hour, P.O. Box 3000, Redlands, CA 92373. The Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, is in charge of the arrangements.

F. Romaine Kasmark
LEWISTOWN - F. Romaine Kasmark, 90, of 40 W. Spanogle Ave., Lewistown, formerly of 608 Harvard St., Lewistown, died at 5:50 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2001 at Lewistown Hospital. Born Sept. 12, 1910 in Lewistown, She was a daughter of the late John A. and Florence Viola (Ritter) Beers. Her husband Joseph V. Kasmark preceded her in death in 1979. Surviving are: a son, John M. Kasmark, Virginia Beach, VA; sisters, Mrs. Roy (Marie) Smith, Lewistown and Veda V. Watters, Granville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. She was employed for 15 years in the reeling room of the American Viscose Corp. She was a Methodist by faith. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Hoenstine Funeral Home, Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Derald W. Stump officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.

Bessie M. Kauffman
BELLEVILLE - Bessie M. Kauffman, 88, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, formerly of Walnut Street, Belleville, died at 2:18 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2001, at Valley View Haven. Born Feb. 28, 1913, in Belleville, she was the daughter of the late Roland and Blanche (Carson) Peachey. Her husband, T. R. "Mike" Kauffman, died March 3, 1988. Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. James (Ruth) Knarr, Belleville; a sister, Mrs. Jarrold (Nellie) Orbin, Belleville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She had been employed as a clerk at Philips General Store, Belleville. She was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church, the Augsburg Sunday School Class, the Women of E.L.C.A. and the Knotters Group. She enjoyed reading. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church, Belleville, with the Rev. Lois Martin officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of the services Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. John Lutheran Church, PO Box 5716, Belleville, PA 17004 or to Valley View Haven, 4702 E. Main St., Belleville, PA 17004. The Donald E. Beverly C. Kauffman
HUNTINGDON - Beverly C. Kauffman, 52, of Huntingdon RR2, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, in Oneida Township, Huntingdon County. Born July 17, 1949, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of William and Alberta (Lentvorsky) Peters of Huntingdon. Her husband, Gary E. Kauffman of Huntingdon RR2, whom she married Oct. 14, 1967, survives. Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Jay (Amy) Yocum, Mrs. Philip (Jennie) Mark and Matthew Kauffman, all of Huntingdon RR2; sister and brothers, Mrs. Herbert (Sharon) Vernet, William Peters and Andrew Peters, all of Huntingdon; and three grandchildren. She was a 1967 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School. She was employed as a pharmacy technician at Kopp Drug Inc., Huntingdon. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m.Wednesday at the Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville, with Edward Yoder officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Harvey Lee Kauffman
MAYFIELD, KY - Harvey Lee Kauffman, 53, of 6286 State Route 121 North, Mayfield, KY, died at 8:44 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2001, at Western Baptist Hospital, Paducah, KY. Born Feb. 7, 1948, he was the son of the late Kore Ezra and Lizzie Mae (Hostetler) Kauffman. His wife, Nancy (Schrock) Kauffman of Mayfield, KY, survives. Also surviving are: children, Mary Emma Kauffman, Samuel Joseph Kauffman and Kore Alvin Kauffman, all of Mayfield, KY; sister and brothers, Mary Elizabeth Kauffman, Reedsville, Mrs. Sam (Anna Mae) Hostetler, Jesse Marlin Kauffman, Leroy Samuel Kauffman, Christie David Kauffman, and Raymond Jay Kauffman, all of Belleville and Kore Noah Kauffman, Adams, NY. He was a jelly and jam producer. He was a member of the Hickory Amish Mennonite Church. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Hickory Amish Mennonite Church, with ministers, Joe Borntrager, Norman Yoder and Lester Beachy officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Amish Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the decedent's residence, 6286 State Route 121 North, Mayfield, KY. The Brown Funeral Home of Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
