Anna F. Christoff
MOUNT UNION - Anna F. Christoff, 71, of Overbrook Acres, Mount Union, died at 2:35 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2000, at the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. Born March 15, 1929, in Middleburg, she was the daughter of the late roy F. and Mary (Walter) Hackenberg. Her husband, Arthur S. Christoff, whom she married July 14, 1956 in Mount Union, died May 16, 1996. Surviving are: children, Patricia Salisbury, Radnor and Roger Christoff, Mount Union; brothers, Nevin Hackenberg, McClure and Miles Hackenberg, Middleburg; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frona Hackenberg. She attended Middleburg schools. She was co-operator with her husband of County Mobile Homes Inc., which her husband founded and owned. She was a lifelong member of Zion United Methodist Church, Middleburg. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Grundon officiating. Interment will be in Haven Rest Memorial Park, Shirleysburg, RR1. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the services today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: the American Cancer Society, RR1, Highway 26, Huntingdon, PA 16652.

Arlanda 'Pete' Conner
ORANGE COVE, Calif. - Arlanda "Pete" Conner, 84, of Orange Cove, Calif., died Tuesday, June 20, 2000, at the East Springfield Nursing Home, Reedley, Calif. Born July 17, 1915, in Ferguson Valley, he was the son of the late David W. and Eve (Mertz) Conner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Leonard) Conner. Surviving are: children, Bennett Conner, Glendora, Calif., Vivian Larrick, La Verne, Calif., and Joan Buller, Orange Cove, Calif.; sisters, Lillian Cavanaugh, McVeytown, Isabelle Mowery, Lewistown RR, Lucille Knavel, Elton, and Doris Gillam, Westerly Rhode Island; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and five sisters. He was a retired teacher for Kings Canyon Unified School District. A memorial service was held at the Cornerstone Community Church in Reedley Calif. Interment was in the Reedley Cemetery.

Hilda V. Liddick Covalt
LEWISTOWN - Hilda V. Liddick Covalt, 59, of 516 W. Fourth St., Apt. 2, Lewistown, died at 7:34 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, 2000 at her residence. Born Feb. 17, 1941 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Hildegards M. (Hahn) Powers. Her husband, Howard E. Liddick, preceded her in death in 1991. Surviving are: children, Mrs. Randal (Cindy) Grubb Jr., Mrs. John (Linda) Stewart and Howard F. Liddick, all of Lewistown, and Mrs. Andrew (Wendy) Norton, Hanover; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Cloyd (Lulu) Shawver, Coburn, Alberta Smith, Yeagertown, Audrey Stains, Beavertown, Ralph Powers, Thompsontown RR, Marcella Bowersox, Lewistown and Mrs. David (Betty) Shawver, Tyrone; and eight grandchildren. She was employed last as a production employee at JMP Inc., Beaver Springs, and earlier had worked at Avtex Fibers. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church, Burnham. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Juniata Memorial Park, with the Rev. John S. Walters officiating. There will be no public viewing. The family will provide all funeral flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to HOSPICE: The Bridge, 1126 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, PA 17044. Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.

Donald R. 'Cook' Cramer
LEWISTOWN - Donald R. "Cook" Cramer, 63, of 51 Hickory Acres Lane, Lewistown, died at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2000, at Beverly Healthcare-William Penn. Born Nov. 4, 1937, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late James H. and Clare (Ealy) Cramer. His wife, Donna L. (McCardle) Cramer, whom he married April 24, 1965, survives. Also surviving are: children, Dawn C. Cramer, at home, Mrs. Paul (Debra) Nowlen, Sunbury, Darwin F. Deamer, Lawrenceville, and Douglas J. Cramer, Lewistown; a grandson whom he raised, Cole C. Cramer, at home; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Kauffman, Kenneth E. Cramer, and Lois Cramer, all of Lewistown, and Mrs. John (Marjorie) Weston, Nilas, Ohio; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clifford E. Cramer. He served in the United States Air Force from 1960 to 1964. He was a communication technician at AT&T for 35 years, retiring due to disability in 1998. He was Methodist by faith. He was a member of the Lewistown Elks Club 663, a life member of Fame Fire Company, and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America Susquehanna Valley Council. He was an outstanding basketball player at the high school, college and armed services levels of competition. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Darvin Donahey officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, where military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 7011, Lewistown. There will be no viewing, but friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Philadelphia-The World's First Ronald McDonald House, 3921-3925 Chestnut St., Philadelphia, PA 19104.

Kenneth E. Cramer
LEWISTOWN - Kenneth E. Cramer, 79, of 412 Harvard St., Lewistown, died at 12:18 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at the Lewistown Hospital. Born Sept. 30, 1921, in Yeagertown, he was the son of the late James H. and Clare (Ealy) Cramer. His wife, Zelda (Miller) Cramer, whom he married May 14, 1948, survives. He is survived by a son, Kenneth J. Cramer, Harrisburg; sisters, Mrs. Charles (Helen) Kauffman and Lois Cramer, both of Lewistown and Mrs. John (Marjorie) Weston, Niles, Ohio; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II. He was a truck driver for Mark Trucking in Belleville, retiring in 1983 after 37 years of service. After retirement, he was employed by Hoenstine Funeral Home and Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lewistown, the Mens Sunday School Class, and was a former trustee and head usher for many years. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. David Schmuck officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Third St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Geraldine Rhodes Crawford
HERSHEY - Geraldine Rhodes Crawford, 78, of 497 Laudermilch Road, Hershey, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at Hershey Medical Center. Born Aug. 7, 1922, in Bratton Township, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Franklin C. Sr. and Pauline (Harshberger) Rhodes. She is survived by a son, Frank C. Crawford Jr., Hummelstown; half-sisters, Hazel Horner, McVeytown and Gladys Snyder, Huntingdon; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Cecil Rhodes. She retired from the wrapping department at Hershey Foods after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, Palmyra; the East Hanover Township Senior Citizens Autumn Leaves; and the Chocolate Worker's Union 464, Hershey. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rothermel Funeral Home Inc., 25 W. Pine St., Palmyra, with the Rev. Douglas E. Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Gravel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, 131 Gravel Hill Road, Palmyra, PA 17078.

Zora I. Crissman
SARASOTA, FL - Zora I. Crissman, 85, of 1330 Glen Oaks Drive, Sarasota, FL, formerly of Wedgewood Hills, Susquehanna Township, Harrisburg, died Wednesday at Doctor's Hospital, Sarasota. She is survived by her husband, Alden Crissman. Also surviving are: a son, Gary A. Crissman of Harrisburg; and two granddaughters. She was a retired administrative secretary for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. She was a member of the First Brethren Church, Sarasota, the Estrellita Chapter No. 512 O.E.S. She was the first president of the Wedgewood Hills Civic Association, and a member of the Women's Club of Sarasota and the Rolling Green Country Club, Sarasota. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Hetrick Funeral Home in Susquehanna Township, Harrisburg. Interment will be at about 1 p.m. Monday in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Brethren Church, 150 N. Shade Ave., Sarasota, FL 34232.

Alameda B. Cross
BELLEVILLE - Alameda B. Cross, 95, a guest at the Nipple Convalescent Home, Liverpool, and formerly of Trella Street, Belleville, died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, at the home. Born June 9, 1905, in Greenwood Furnace, she was the daughter of the late Anson Gerdel and Rachel (Sills) Barnes. Her husband, Arthur John Cross, died Sept. 15, 1979. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Annabel) Davis, 103 Cherry Lane, Carlisle; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Erb. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Belleville and the Lady Greenwood Lodge, No. 308 Rebekah's, Belleville. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville, with the Rev. Lois Martin officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the services Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. John Lutheran Church, PO Box 5716, Belleville, PA 17004.
