Dorothy P. Troup
Beaver Springs - Dorothy P. Troup, 83, of RR1 Beaver Springs, passed away at 1:15 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2001. She had been a resident of Penn Lutheran Village, Selinsgrove, for the past four years. Born May 18, 1918, in Spring Township, Snyder County, she was a daughter of the late Cleve and Mabel (Snook) Aumiller. In 1935, she married the late Charles F. Troup, Sr., who passed away in 1989. Surviving are: two daughters and a son-in-law, Shirley A. and Lewis S. "Duke" Haines, RR1 Beaver Springs, and Linda L. Troup, RR1 Beaver Springs, two sons and daughter-in-laws, Charles F. and Carol Troup, Jr., Burnham, and David L. and Tyna Troup, Fredericksburg; two sisters, Marion Wagner, Beavertown, Thelma Kurtz, RR1 Beaver Springs, and a brother, Park Aumiller, RR1 Beavertown; six grandchildren, Kathy, Kris, Nathan, Denise, Michelle and Jennifer, and four great-grandchildren, Arron, Chelsey, David and Ashley. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Narehood and two brothers, George and Stanford Aumiller. She worked at Selinsgrove Center for 25 years as an aid and later a Licensed Practical Nurse. Early in life, she was a cook at the former Leo's Restaurant. She was a member of Beaver Lutheran Church and enjoyed flowers. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Aurand Funeral Homes, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, with the Rev. Charles Brophy officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to: Beaver Lutheran Church, Beaver Springs, Pa 17812, or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Irene M. Troutman
MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS - Irene Mildred Heintzelman Troutman, 85, a resident of Penn Lutheran Village Nursing Home, Selinsgrove, formerly of Mount Pleasant Mills RR1, died at 3:24 a.m. Sunday, March 11, 2001, at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. Born on Feb. 13, 1916, in West Perry Township, Snyder County, she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Sadie Elizabeth (Stroup) Goodling. Her first husband, Harry Irvin Heintzelman, died Dec. 4, 1965 and her second husband, Simon Leroy "Sim" Troutman, whom she married Dec. 28, 1974, died Oct. 17, 1998. She is survived by sons, Clyde A. Heintzelman, Rockville, Md., Dale R. Heintzelman, Middleburg RR4, Dean E. Heintzelman, Kreamer, Rudolph A. Heintzelman, Montgomery, Ala. and Roger L Heintzelman, Danville; two stepchildren, Jim B. Troutman, Millerstown and Mrs. Robert (Jane A.) Masters, McAlisterville RR2; four brothers, Palmer D. Goodling, Mount Pleasant Mills, Wayne L. Goodling and Gene L. Goodling, both of Middleburg, and Robert L. Goodling, HCR 72, Richfield; a sister, Sara Wilt, Lewisburg; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn E. Heintzelman on June 25, 1994; two brothers, Lawrence R. Goodling and Alvin A. Goodling; and a sister, Helen Arbogast. She was educated at Gordon's Grammar schoolhouse at West Perry Township, Snyder County. She was a homemaker and had been employed for 10 years as a seamstress for Lyons Fashions at Mount Pleasant Mills, before retiring on Jan. 11, 1979. She was a member and former Sunday school teacher of St. Thomas Independent Brethren in Christ Church, Mount Pleasant Mills RR2. She was also a member of the Reliance Hose Company Ambulance League, Middleburg and the Medic 55 Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. She loved to do gardening and was a talented crocheter, especially in making afghans and rugs. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Thomas Independent Brethren in Christ Church, Mount Pleasant Mills RR2, with the Rev. Roger L. Womer officiating. Interment will be in St. Thomas United Methodist Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills RR2. Friends may call from noon until the time of the service Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the Danville Boy Scout Troop 139, 119 Middle St., Danville, PA 17821 or the Freeburg Boy Scout Troop 490, 50 Peach Orchard Road, Middleburg, PA 17842 or to the Middleburg Boy Scout Troop 415, 234 W. Market St., Middleburg, PA 17842. The George P. Garman Funeral Home Inc., Mount Pleasant Mills, is in charge of arrangements.

Martha V. Troutman
RICHFIELD - Martha V. Troutman, 88, formerly of Richfield RR1, died at 11:20 p.m.,Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at Penn Lutheran Village, Selinsgrove, where she had resided for the past three years. Born March 4, 1913, in Juniata County, she was the daughter of the late Newton and Cora (Frontz) Strawser. Her husband, Henry A. Troutman, whom she married March 16, 1930, Oct. 16, 1996. Surviving are: children, Calvin A. Troutman and Mrs. Bob (Irene E.) Sheaffer, both of Richfield, Clyde H. "Sonny" Troutman, Richfield RR1, Mrs. Greg (Grace N.) Smith, McAlisterville, and Mrs. Don (Roseanna M.) Bordner, Mechanicsburg; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Strawser. She was educated in the Juniata County rural schools. She retired in 1978 after 11 years employment at the Selinsgrove Center at Selinsgrove, where she worked in housekeeping. Earlier, she had worked at the Richfield Shirt Factory and the Liverpool Shirt Factory. She was Methodist by faith. She loved to cook. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills, with the Rev. Clair R. Troutman officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Millerstown RR2. Friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Marian E. True
LEWISTOWN - Marian E. True, 78, of 368 W. Fifth St., Lewistown, died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at her residence. Born March 14, 1922, in Belleville, she was the daughter of the late William McKinley and Irma (Williams) Goss. Her husband, John D. True, whom she married Oct. 12, 1956, survives. Also surviving are: a daughter, Michelle E. True, 361 W. Fifth St., Lewistown; brothers and sister, Donald P. Goss, Alfarata, Joseph R. Goss, Dillsburg, and Martha Jane Spearing, Reedsville; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by an infant son, and three brothers. She was employed at Bell Telephone for 44 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown, where she was a member of the Chancel Choir, the Family Circle Sunday School Class and was a kitchen assistant. She was also a literacy volunteer for the Mifflin County Library. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. There will be no viewing, however family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, 120 N. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

John A. Truscott Sr.
CLARION - John A. Truscott Sr., 81, of 206 Briar Hill Drive, Clarion, formerly of West Fifth Street, Lewistown, died at 11:54 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, at Clarion Hospital. Born Sept. 26, 1919, in South Fork, he was the son of the late William H. and Cora (Mapstone) Truscott. He is survived by: a son, John A. Truscott Jr. of Clarion and a daughter, Bonnie Trescot of Irvine, Calif.; a sister, Dorothy Himelright of White Marsh, Md.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre. He was a union meat cutter for 35 years at the A&P Store in Lewistown. He was a member of Lake Park United Methodist Church, Lewistown. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Mark Brower officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park, Lewistown. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Fred H. Trutt Jr.
LEWISTOWN - Fred H. Trutt Jr., 52, of 2504 US Hwy 522 N., Lewistown, died at 7:57 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2001, at Lewistown Hospital. Born Jan. 7, 1949, in Lewistown, he was a son of Fred H. Trutt Sr. of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, Lewistown and the late Betty J. (Crozier) Trutt. His wife Sandra M. (Briggs) Trutt, whom he married Dec. 8, 1968, survives. Also surviving are: children, Emily A. Trutt, Fayetteville, Mrs. Doyle (Holly L.) Smith and Eric B. Trutt, both of Lewistown; a sister, Mrs. David (Rebecca) Yohn, Lewistown; and three grandchildren. He was a self-employed clock and watch repairman and was a parts assistant for All Star Ford, retired on disability. He attended Bible Baptist Church and was a member of the Highland Park Fire Company and was a volunteer fire fighter. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bible Baptist Church, 101 N. Beech St., Burnham, with the Rev. John S. Walters officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing, but family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the church. Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham, is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Nora Melinda Kratzer Try
BEAVER SPRINGS - Mary Nora Melinda Kratzer Try, 73, of Beaver Springs RR1, died Sunday morning May 16, 2001, at her home. Born Sept. 25, 1927, in Snyder County, she was a daughter of the late Artie and Annie (Kuhns) Kratzer. Her husband, Paul F. Gary, whom she married in the fall of 1954, died in 1977. She is survived by two brothers, Hurley Kratzer, Selinsgrove and Paul Kratzer, Milton; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers, Beulah Murry, Stella Rocko, Eva Hackenberry, Russell Kratzer, Roy Kratzer, Millard Kratzer, Artie Kratzer and Marlin Kratzer. She was employed in her early years at the former Quarry Canning Factory, Middleburg. She did housecleaning and domestic work for various people and worked at Rayauda's Restaurant for 30 years. She was a member of Three Rivers Union Church, Beaver Springs RR1 for many years. She enjoyed going to church and music. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Beavertown chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, with the Rev. John W. Moyle officiating. Interment will be in the McClure Union Cemetery. Friends may call 4-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7-9 p.m.

C. Dean Turbett
MIFFLINTOWN - C. Dean Turbett, 68, of 328 Washington Ave., Mifflintown, died at 12:03 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at his home. Born Sept. 27, 1932, in Mifflintown, he was the son of the late Harold M. Turbett and Anna (Crisswell) Turbett Woodward. His wife, Sharon M. (Sweatt), whom he married April 14, 1990, survives. Also surviving are: children, Michael S. Adams, Bradingden, FL, Jonathan E. Adams, Aberdeen, MD and Stephanie G. Hilt, Mifflintown RR4; brother and sister, Harold A. Turbett, Summerdale and Greta Varner, Mifflintown; stepbrothers and stepsister, James K. Woodward and Betty Mullin, both of Bel Aire, MD and Robert Woodward, Alexandria, LA; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by stepfather, John C. Woodward Sr. He was a 1951 graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown and attended the University of Miami in Florida. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a retired state worker for the Department of Public Works, Aberdeen, MD. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mifflintown. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Ronald L. Shupe officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown, where military honors will be provided by the Juniata County Veterans Council. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: the First Baptist Church of Mifflintown, HC 63, Mifflintown, PA 17059 or to the American Cancer Society, 26 N. Brown St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
