Born Jan. 28, 1919, in Milroy, she was a daughter of the late Robert Nelson and Susan Mae (Aumiller) Kerstetter. Her husband, Herman Eldon Bonson, died Oct. 12, 1997.
Surviving are: children, Harry Nelson Bonson, Arvada, Colo., and Mrs. J. David (Julia) Jordan, Mae Lee Bonson and Mrs. Ronald (Cecelia) Staib, all of Milroy; brothers, Nelson B. Kerstetter, Milroy, and Harry W. Kerstetter, Strasburg; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson; and brothers and sisters, Forrest R. Kerstetter, Randall J. Kerstetter, Clifford S. Kerstetter, Robert N. Kerstetter Sr., Margaret Kerstetter, Janette Kerstetter, Grace Treaster and Susan Bodtorf.
She was a member of Saint Mark's United Methodist Church, Havice Valley.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with the Rev. Edward P. Fleming Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Ruth M. Booher
Born Feb. 15, 1920, in Shirley Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Snair. Her husband, Harrison Booher, whom she married April 24, 1943, died Aug. 30, 1977.
Surviving are: children, Bonnie K. Scholl and Gary L. Booher, both of Rockhill Furnace and Susan A. Sheetz, Lewistown; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church, where she had been a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class and church choir.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with the Rev. Rick Eminhizer and the Rev. Michael Scholl officiating. Interment will be in the Monroe Valley Cemetery, Three Springs RR.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dorothy E. Bookwalter
Born Aug. 30, 1927, in Juniata Terrace, Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late David and Ruth (Querry) Bookwalter.
Surviving are brothers and sisters, Lois S. Briggs and Winifred R. Dupert, both of Lewistown, Fern L. Bookwalter, Springfield, Mo., and Donald R. Bookwalter, Attleboro, Mass.; stepsisters, Peg Derrick, Etta, and June Rupp, Lewistown.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Bookwalter and a sister, Letha Gahagan; and stepmother, Ruth (Bubb) Bookwalter.
She was employed in the laundry department of Lewistown Hospital.
She was a member of Highland Park Presbyterian Church.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Linda K. Hendrian officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Highland Park Presbyterian Church, 103 Sixth St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
Wayman F. Boonie Sr.
Born June 7, 1921, in McClure, he was a son of the late William Stuart and Molly Matilda (Kline) Boonie. His wife, M. Jane (Kearns) Boonie, whom he married in 1948, preceded him in death on Oct. 27, 1978.
Surviving are: children, Wayman F. Boonie Jr., Bannerville, and Barbara A. Boonie and Laurie Jo (Boonie) Rice, both of Arizona; a brother, Carl Boonie, McClure; and five grandchildren.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
In 1984, he retired from the American Viscose Corporation, where he was a textile worker for many years.
He enjoyed hunting.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday at the McClure chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes, North Brown Street, McClure, where family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
John W. Boozel
Born March 29, 1921, in Newton Hamilton, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary (Bilger) Boozel. His wife, Pearl L. (Harshbarger) Boozel, whom he married July 11, 1946, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Nancy A. Kauffman, Lynn A. Boozel, David A. Boozel, all of McVeytown RD1, Joyce A. Kelly, Punxsutawney, and Gregory A. Boozel and Cheryl A. Boozel, both at home; brothers and sisters, Foster Boozel, Mattawana, Lester Boozel, Alice Bollinger, Richard Boozel, Robert Boozel and Bertis Boozel, all of McVeytown RD, Mary Harshbarger and Freda Worthy, both of Mount Union, Elsie Pollock and Thelma Miller, both of Newton Hamilton, Geraldine Keefer and Shirley Grove, both of Orbisonia, and Brooks Boozel, Milroy RD; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Albert Boozel, Melvin Boozel, Gladys Johnson and Stella Giusti; and two grandchildren.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater.
He was employed for 28 years as a mill operator at the Hatfield and McVeytown plants of Pennsylvania Glass Sand.
He was a Protestant by faith and an avid hunter and fisherman.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Pleasant View Cemetery, Bratton Township, Mifflin County.
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Nancy Kauffman, 60 Crystal Lane, McVeytown, PA 17051.
Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, is in charge of arrangements.
Catherine A. Bordner
Born July 8, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Oscar and Mary (Dreese) Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Elwood Bordner, in 1974.
Surviving are: children, Donald J. Bordner, Mechanicsburg, Mrs. Ronald (Nancy M.) Helwig, Oakland Mills, and Mrs. Timothy (Gail E.) Krouse , Middleburg RR2; brother and sister, Lester Martin, Mount Pleasant Mills, and Mildred Hommel, Beavertown; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons.
She was formerly employed by the Fremont Shirt Co., Mount Pleasant Mills, and the Selinsgrove Center.
She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant Mills.
She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mount Pleasant Mills. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Linda M. Bossler
Born Feb. 18, 1950, in Allentown, she was a daughter of Arthur L. Litschke of Ellenton, Fla., and the late Arlene M. (Hilbert) Litschke. Her husband, Kenneth E. Bossler, whom she married July 18, 1983, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Michael Johnson, Fleetwood, Tracy Kaufman, Auburn, Tina M. Unger, Mount Union, Tara Bossler, Kutztown, and Lonnie K. Bossler, Lewistown; brother and sisters, Daniel Litschke and Brenda Kline, both of Macungie, and Lori Amato, Emmaus; and six grandchildren.
She attended Hereford Elementary School and Hereford and Upper Perkiomen High School, East Greenfield.
She was employed by Empire Kosher Poultry, Mifflintown, from 1993-1997. Previously, she had been employed as an assembler for Caloric Corp., Topton, from 1976-1990, and by Knoll International, Pennsburg, from 1973-1974.
She was a member of the Unified Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 72.
She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved country music.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with the Rev. Elwood O. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, McAlisterville.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7-9 p.m.
Irene A. Mengel Botdorf
Born Aug. 29, 1911, in Freeburg, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Rhoda (Page) Mengel. Her husband, Howard W. Botdorf, died June 14, l996.
Surviving are three daughters, Dawn Brink, Hummelstown, Darlene Jones, Birdsboro, Dolores White, McAlisterville; a son, Gerald Botdorf, McClure; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She graduated from the Freeburg High School and from the Susquehanna University.
She had retired as a music teacher at Greenwood High School in Millerstown. She also assisted her husband at the former Botdorf Funeral Home, Millerstown.
She was a member of the Highland Presbyterian Church, Newport, where she had been a former choir director. She was also a member and former Worthy Grand Matron of the Eastern Star, New Bloomfield Chapter 459, New Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Highland Presbyterian Church, Newport RR1, with the Rev. Edward Baugh officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday at the church.

ROCKHILL FURNACE - Ruth M. Booher, 79, Rockhill Furnace, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.
LEWISTOWN - Dorothy E. Bookwalter, 72, of 196 S. Main St., Lewistown, died at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital.
