Born June 20, 1915, in Cocolamus, she was a daughter of the late Oliver P. and Nora (Ehrenzeller) Brown. Her husband, Elwood O. Brandt, whom she married in 1933, died on Nov. 28, 1969.
Surviving are: a son, Robert E. Brandt of McAlisterville; brother and sisters, John Brown of Dauphin, Alice Troutman of Tower City and A. Jane Sheaffer of Millerstown RR; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Perry Brown and Paul Brown.
She attended school at Cocolamus Elementary.
She was employed as a seamstress at Lyon Fashions in McAlisterville until her retirement in 1977. She drove a bus for the McAlisterville Senior Citizens Center for several years after her retirement.
She was a member of the Bunkertown Church of the Brethren, McAlisterville RR1, and the McAlisterville Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed sewing.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Ronald C. Sheaffer Funeral Home, 16 Westfall St., McAlisterville, with Pastor Elwood O. Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Goodwill Cemetery, McAlisterville RR1.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 7-9 p.m.

Russell W. 'Scoot' Brannon Sr.
Born June 23, 1925, in Mifflin County, he was a son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Clara (Zimmerman) Brannon. His wife, Wanda (Royer) Brannon, whom he married Aug. 30, 1947, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Roy (Carolyn) Gibbons, Lewistown, Connie Haubrick and Russell W. Brannon Jr., both of Route 103 North, Lewistown; brother and sisters, Nelson Brannon, Lewistown RR3, Sara Royer, Goss Terrace, Lewistown, and Phoebe Moore, McVeytown, RR; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
He owned and operated Brannon and Royer septic tank business, retiring in 1996.
He was a member of the Owls Club, the Brooklyn Hose Co., the Lewistown VFW Post 7011 (social member), the Logan Guard Post No. 90 (social member), American Legion (social member), and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge No. 143.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Jacob T. Traxler officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Sgt. Maj. Roy E. Breon
Born April 25, 1933, in Reedsville, he was a son of the late Melvin E. and Alberta (Keiser) Breon.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Breon, whom he married 44 years ago. Also surviving are: children, Scott Breon, Fredericksburg, Va., Robin Fuller, Gladehill, Va., Jennie Edwards, Forest Hill, Md.; brothers, Jay Breon, Norman Breon and Ernest Breon, all of Milroy; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In 1980, he retired after 27 years of service in the U.S. Army. He served in Korea, Vietnam and Greenland.
He was a member of the Executive Flight Detachment for more than six years. He enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, Va. with full military honors.
Family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Weymouth Funeral Home, 12746 Nettles Drive, Newport News, Va. 23606.
Myron Elwood 'Dutch' Bressler
Born July 28, 1912 in Middleburg, he was a son of the late David Henry and Gertrude Blanche (Shambach) Bressler. His wife, Maude Ruth (Lawson) Bressler, preceded him in death on Oct. 20, 1956.
Surviving are: a daughter, Shirley Jean Halligan, Muncy Valley; three brothers, Marvin Bressler, York, Charles Bressler, York, Robert Bressler, Tennessee; two sisters, Beatrice B. Walter, Lewistown and Luella B. Gift, York; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Irene Bressler; five brothers, John F., Henry David, Ralph and Walter Bressler and Harlan Shambach; five sisters, Gertrude, Lydia, and Mary Bressler and Anna Krieder and Gladys Smith.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
He was educated at the former Erdler School in Franklin Township.
He retired in 1973 after 33 years as an employee at the American Viscose Corp., Lewistown.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 601 in Sonestown, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Middleburg. He was also a member of East Derry and City Hook and Ladder fire companies.
He enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 East Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Karen B. Allen, of Valley United Methodist Church of Muncy Valley, officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Middleburg.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Helen Walters Breston
Born July 22, 1910, in Middleburg, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Sarah (Stahl) Walters. Her husband, Joseph N. Breston, whom she married June 21, 1941, survives.
She is also survived by a son, Joseph Walter Breston, 225 Homan Ave., State College; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia and California.
She was the last of her immediate family. She was a 1932 graduate of Bucknell University, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Primary Education.
She taught first and second grade for the Mifflin County School District, Lewistown, before moving to Bradford.
She attended the First United Methodist Church, Lewistown and the United Brethren Church in Bradford Township.
She was a member of the Delta Seta Sorority, the Retired Teachers Association, the American Association of University Women, the Bradford Literary Club, and the West Branch Community Club.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. David Schmuck officiating. Interment will be in the Glendale Cemetery, Middleburg.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to: the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. Third St., Lewistown, PA 17044.
Morgan Renee Bretz
Born August 26, 1999, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of John L. and Melissa (Strawser) Bretz of 704 Milford St., Port Royal.
She is also survived by sisters, Jenna K. Bretz and Kirsten J. Bretz, both at home; paternal grandparents, William and Linda O'Brien, Port Royal RR1 and John and Beth Bretz, McVeytown; maternal grandparents, Sandra Strawser and Donald Fultz and Larry and Debra Strawser, all of McVeytown; paternal great-grandparents, Wib and Helen Shoemaker, Port Royal RR1; maternal great-grandfather, Kenneth C. Fogleman, Mifflintown RR5; and maternal great-grandmother, Erma Strawser, Mifflintown RR3.
She was a member of the Port Royal Presbyterian Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Port Royal Presbyterian Church, Port Royal, with the Rev. Richard E. Wright officiating. Interment will be in the New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal and from 10 a.m until the time of the services Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to: the United Cerebral Palsy of the Capital Area, Crestview Plaza, Newport, PA 17074.
Rosemary D. Brewer
Born Oct. 18, 1919, in Rockland, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Floyd A. and Delia (Ellery) Hayward. Surviving are: children, Mrs. Harold (Rosemary) Loudenslager, 520 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, and John W. Brewer, Bel Air, Md.; and two grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by a brother.
She was a 1937 graduate of Quincy High School, Quincy, Mass.
She was a homemaker, a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Lewistown, and a former member of Catholic Mothers' Club.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the American Heart Association, 501 Howard Avenue, Building D, Suite 101, Altoona, PA 16601.
Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
M. Florence Bricker
She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Bricker Sr., McAlisterville; children, Paul E. Bricker Jr. and Patricia Anne Bisbing, both of Orlando, Fla., James Park Bricker, McAlisterville, and Deborah Gail Mielewski, Miles of Tabernacle, N. J.; a brother, Raymond Kilgore, Camp Hill; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was a licensed practical nurse for the Annie B. Warner Hospital in Gettysburg.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, McAlisterville. She was also past matron of the White Rose Chapter Order of the Eastern Star in York.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

MCALISTERVILLE - Mae L. Brandt, 83, of McAlisterville died at 5:50 p.m. Monday, April 5, 1999, at Brookline Manor Convalescent Rest Home, Mifflintown RR1, where she had been a resident since November 1998.
LEWISTOWN - Russell W. "Scoot" Brannon Sr., 74, of 189 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at his residence.
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Sgt. Maj. Roy Ellsworth Breon, 66, of Newport News Va., died Friday, May 28, 1999, at Mary Immaculate Hospital.
MUNCY - Myron Elwood "Dutch" Bressler, 87, formerly of Lewistown and Muncy Valley, died on Sunday, April 23, 2000, at the Skilled Nursing Unit in Muncy Valley Hospital.
STATE COLLEGE - Helen Walters Breston, 89, of 225 Homan Ave., State College, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2000, at the Fairways Brookline Nursing Home, State College.
PORT ROYAL - Morgan Renee Bretz, four months and two days of 704 Milford St., Port Royal, died at 7:08 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital.
LEWISTOWN - Rosemary D. Brewer, 79, a resident of Ohesson Manor, 276 Green Avenue, Lewistown, formerly of Kish Apartments, Lewistown, died at 12:13 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 1999, at the manor.
MIFFLIN - M. Florence Bricker, 88, a resident of Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, at the village.
