Born Dec. 22, 1948, in Houston, Texas, he was a son of the late Wally and Dorothy Camp. His wife of 17 years, Lois Fisher Camp, retired Lieutenant Colonel U. S. Army, formerly of Lewistown, survives.
Also surviving are: sons, Brian Craig Camp of Perth, Australia and LAC Jason Paul Camp of Royal Australian Air Force; two sisters, Cathy Camp and Mrs. Rick (Gay) Riggs, both of Baytown, Texas.
He was a U. S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.
He graduated from Sam Houston University in 1974 earning a BS in Law Enforcement and Police Science. He received his commission in March 1975 after attending Officer Candidate School, Quantico, Va. His last active duty assignment was Commanding Officer, Military Entrance Processing Station, Houston, until retiring in July 1993, after 21 years of active duty.
He received many commendations including the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat "V" and the Combat Action Ribbon.
He was also senior military instructor of the MCJROTC at REL for 6 years and owner of Dee-Jay Music Entertainment.
Services were held on Veteran's Day, Nov. 11, 1999, at Earthman's Baytown, Baytown, Texas. Interment was in Memory Gardens, Baytown, Texas.
Claude S. Camp
Born Aug. 14, 1912, in Delaware, Okla., he was a son of the late John and Mamie (Stephenson) Camp. His wife, Maxene M. (Hurrell) Camp, whom he married March 26, 1942, survives.
Also surviving are: one sister, Alverda Sheffield, San Antonio, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a stepmother, Blanche (Gillespie) Camp.
He retired from Allenwood Steel Subsidiary, Oaks.
A veteran of World War II, he served with the 503rd Parachute Infantry.
He was member of New Life Assembly of God Church, Mifflintown RR4, Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post 5863, Mifflintown and Mifflintown American Legion Post 298.
The funeral service is at 10 a.m. Monday at New Life Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Jack Twombly and Pastor Harold Imes officiating. Interment will be in the East Waterford Cemetery, where military honors will be provided by the Juniata County Veterans Council.
Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the New Life Assembly of God Church and from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the church.

Clyde W. Campbell
Born Aug. 1, 1907, in Juniata County, he was a son of the late Lawrence W. and Millie (Mumper) Campbell. His first wife, Autimer (Plank) Campbell, died in 1942. His second wife, Hilda A. (Frankhouser) Campbell, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Clyde W. Campbell Jr. and Mrs. Owen (Joann) Froeming, both of Baltimore, Md., John R. Campbell, Middletown, Mrs. Charles (Arlene) Zeigler, Milroy, Glenn Campbell, Velrico, Fla., Donald Campbell, Cyprus, Calif., Mrs. Richard (Gloria) Cook and James Campbell, both of Lewistown; 22 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by an infant daughter, Doris Mae Campbell; a daughter, Pauline V. Campbell; four brothers, Milton Campbell, Charles Campbell, David Campbell, and Franklin Campbell; and four sisters, Laura Arnold, Mary Goss, Margaret Baker, and Edith Crist.
He worked for the American Viscose Corporation, Lewistown, for 37 years before retiring in 1964. After retirement, he worked for the Juniata Terrace Borough and the Big Valley Sale Barn.
He was a member of Lewistown Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Juniata Terrace.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. John Looney officiating. Interment will be in Upper Tuscarora Presbyterian Cemetery, Juniata County.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Connie L. Campbell
Born May 5, 1959, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late James Culhane and Constance (Gassaway) Kunkel. Her husband, Darry R. Campbell, survives.
Also surviving are: daughters, Joelene Rae Ann Campbell, LeeAnn C Campbell, Samantha LaRue, all at home; sister, Jamie S. Steffen, New Bloomfield; paternal grandmother, Ida Mae Culhane, Harrisburg; stepdaughter, Amy Jones, Newport; stepfather, Frederick Kunkel, Carlisle; stepbrother, Michael Kunkel, Newport and stepsister, Gwenda Hewitt, Maryland.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James P. Culhane Sr.
She had worked for Pennsylvania Supply, Newport and Felicita, Harrisburg.
She was a member of the First Church of God, where she was a Sunday school superintendent, an elder, and former secretary of the Administration Council. She was also a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and assistant E-1 Service Unit Director; past president of the Newport Garden Club; past coordinator of the Relay for Life, Newport; and a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Newport American Legion 177.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Newport First Church of God. Interment will be at the convenience of the family at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Newport.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the David Myers Funeral Home, Second and Walnut Streets, Newport.

Elsie Horne Canterbury
Born June 26, 1914, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late John J. Horne and the late Ethel (Philips) Horne Bader. Her husband, Clayton G. Canterbury, died in 1988.
Also surviving are: children, John W. Canterbury, Blue Bell and Mrs. William (Janice) Schulze, Hatboro; and four grandchildren.
She graduated from Technical High School in Scranton and was a member of the Sanctuary United Methodist Church in North Wales.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Davies & Jones Funeral Chapel, 135 S. Main Ave., Scranton, where friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be held at the Abington Hills Cemetery, South Abington Township, Lackawanna County.
Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. today at the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Derstine and Cannon avenues, Lansdale.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the Sanctuary United Methodist Church, 1346 E. Prospect Ave., North Wales, PA 19454.
Donald T. Carodiskey
Born March 9, 1942, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late J. Thomas and Ada (Gates) Carodiskey. His companion, Inge Albrecht, survives.
Also surviving are sisters, Anne Plank, Florida, and Peggy Manbeck, Mechanicsburg.
He served for three years in the United States Army.
He worked for 32 years at Standard Steel, Burnham.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a member of U.S. Steelworker Local 1940.
He was a life-member of Fame, City Hook and Ladder, and Brooklyn fire companies, and the Elks Club 663, Lewistown. He was an avid Penn State football fan, and a member of the Eastside Gang and the Nittany Lions Club.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family with the Rev. Ed Moore officiating.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown.

John W. Carpenter
Born Dec. 27, 1920, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Della R. (Houser) Carpenter. His wife, Erma B. (Bingaman) Carpenter, whom he married Aug. 27, 1942, died Dec. 23, 1991.
Surviving are: children, James R. Carpenter and Mrs. David (Susan) Stull, both of McClure, Charles W. Carpenter, Pleasant Gap, Mrs. Jeffrey (Cynthia) Yoder, Milroy, Mrs. Ronald (Heather) Bonson, Lewistown; sister, Miriam Gassert, Lititz, 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, John W. Carpenter Jr., in 1949, and a sister, Ruth Everly.
He was formerly employed at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Kinney Shoe Factory, Beaver Springs.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Juniata Memorial Park with the Rev. Donald E. Peters Jr. officiating.
The Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Chester C. Carper
Born Jan. 19, 1908, in Huntingdon County, he was a son of the late William and Mary (Hand) Carper. His wife, Ruth E. (Ritter) Carper, died Sept. 13, 1998.
Surviving are: a son, Lester L. Carper, 606 Maple Ave., Lewistown; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by two infant sons, two brothers and seven sisters.
He was a self-employed motel owner and prior to that he worked at the American Viscose Corporation.
He was a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church.
He was a life member of Highland Park Hose Co. and enjoyed camping and the outdoors.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Thomas B. Morningstar officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.

MIFFLINTOWN - Claude S. Camp, 87, of 405 Village Drive, Mifflintown, and formerly of Thompsontown, died at 5:05 a.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 1999, at Brookline Manor, Mifflintown RR1.
LEWISTOWN - Clyde W. Campbell, 91, of 326 Terrace Boulevard, Lewistown, died at 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, 1999, at his residence.
NEWPORT - Connie L. Campbell, 40, of S. Fourth St., newport, died of natural causes Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, at her home.
NESHAMINY FALLS, North Wales - Elsie Horne Canterbury, 85, of the village of Neshaminy Falls, North Wales, formerly of Lewistown and Scranton, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at the Luthur Woods Convalescent Center in Horsham Township.
LEWISTOWN - Donald T. Carodiskey, 57, of Rear 517 S. Wayne St., Lewistown, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at his residence.
