Born Sept. 7, 1927, in Spruce Hill, Juniata County, he was a son of the late R. Guy and Mary Ellen Walls Conn. His wife, Patsy Saylor Conn, whom he married June 5, 1981, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Carol Ann Conn Marquez, Newport, D. Steven Conn, Mifflintown RR1, Kimberly Dreibelbis and Sally Slautterback, both of Mifflintown, and Carole Reed, Indiana, Pa.; a sister, Martha Snook, Reedsville; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Benjamin Dreibelbis.
He was a graduate of Juniata Joint High School, Mifflintown.
He was an electrician, owning and operating Conn's Electric before his retirement.
He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Mifflintown, and the Lewistown Elks Lodge.
He enjoyed woodworking and was an active volunteer with numerous construction projects at the Seven Mountains Boy Scout Camp.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, corner of North Third and Orange Streets, Mifflintown, with the Rev. Douglas Compton officiating.
Friends may call Monday at Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with the family present from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be no viewing Tuesday at the church.
Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mifflintown RR4.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 109 N. Third St., Mifflintown, Pa. 17059 or to the Benjamin R. Dreibelbis Endowment Fund, Geisinger Foundation, N. Academy Ave., Danville, Pa. 17821.
Margaret I. 'Marge' Connare
Born Nov. 15, 1926, in Scottdale, she was a daughter of the late Abramo and Almondina (DeAmichis) Puglio. Her husband, Thomas J. Connare, whom she married Dec. 31, 1949, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Deborah Sitkin, Cumberland, R.I., and Maj. Thomas J. Connare Jr., U.S. Air Force; sister and brother, Clara Vento, Pittsburgh, and Pat Puglio, Satellite Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Fred, and a sister, Regina.
She attended Franklin Business College, Connellsville.
Early in life, she was employed by Robertshaw Thermostat Co., Youngwood.
She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Lewistown Hospital Auxiliary, Lewistown Women's Club, and a former member of the Lewistown Country Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Thomas Marickovic officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Heller- Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, where a rosary service will be conducted at 8:45 p.m.

Rodney G. Conner
Born April 13, 1952, in Lewistown, he was a son of Jean (Park) Conner of 69 W. Second St., Belleville, and the late Kenneth L. Conner, who died in 1992. His wife, Amy (Tate) Conner of 511 Whiskey Road, McClure, whom he married May 23, 1992, survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sammi May Conner, at home, and a brother, Bernard L. Conner, Oviedo, Fla.
He was a 1972 graduate of Kishacoquillas High School.
He was a member of the United States Marines.
He was employed at Kelly Systems Inc., Harrisburg, from 1997 to present.
He was a member of Three Rivers Union Church, Beaver Springs.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Heller-Hoenstine Burnham Funeral Home, 108 First Ave., Burnham, with Pastor Jack Moyle officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, McClure.
There will be no public viewing but family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Anthony D. Cook
Born Sept. 9, 1972, in Lewistown, he was a son of Lewis L. and Dottie J. (Wilson) Cook of RR1, Box 945, Richfield. His wife, Ann M. (Vasger) Cook, whom he married in 1991, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Tyler Baines, Jessica Cook, and Rachael Cook, all at home; brothers, Lewis L. Cook and Douglas L. Cook, both of Richfield; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Helen Wilson, 25 Lepley Lane, Lewistown; and great-grandmother, Rena B. Wilson, Ohesson Manor, Lewistown.
He was a foreman for Penn Fire Protection, Selinsgrove.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Enos Shelley officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
There will be no public viewing.
Lewis L. Cook
Born Sept. 11, 1943, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Raymond Jones and Margaret (Billheimer) Jones James. His wife, Dottie (Wilson) Cook, whom he married Sept. 9, 1969, survives.
Also surviving are: sons, Lewis L. Cook and Douglas L. Cook, both of Richfield; sister and brothers, Terry Fitzgerald, McClure, Ricky Jones and Rocky Jones, both of Milroy; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony D. Cook, and a brother, William Billheimer.
He was a carpenter for Enos Shelley Contractor in Richfield.
He was a member of Church of God, Mount Pleasant Mills.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown, with the Rev. Enos Shelley officiating. Interment will follow.
There will be no public viewing.

Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
Clair M. 'Pete' Coons
Born March 24, 1930, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Myrl and Ida (Piper) Coons. His wife, Miriam E. (Goss) Coons, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mark C. Coons, Middletown, Myrl R. Coons, Harrisburg, and Joyce D. Bevan, Myerstown; a sister, Mariam Coons, Reedsville; and four grandchildren.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Navy.
He had retired from Hershey Foods.
He was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Lower Swatara Township.
He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 190 Fulling Mill Road, Lower Swatara Township, with the Rev. Howard L. Garman officiating. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.

Edwin C. 'Ned' Cooper
Born Feb. 25, 1909, in Spruce Hill Township, Juniata County, he was a son of the late Francis L. and Gertrude (Crawford) Cooper. His wife, Lucille "Sis" (McCahren) Cooper, whom he married Nov. 20, 1944, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Francis L. Cooper, Port Royal RR1, Gary E. Cooper, Sedro Whooley, Wash., Patti S. Cooper, Mechanicsburg, and Jo Anne Cooper, Carlisle; sister, Helen Fanus, Gardners; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Jane Cooper and a brother, Thomas Judson Cooper.
At one time, he was a bus owner/driver, worked as an ammunition handler at Letterkenny, and as a plumber at the Farm Show Building, Harrisburg. He was also the caretaker of St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Nook, the Academia Cemetery, and the Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown for many years and was a dealer in cement products.
He was a member of the Beale Township Fire Company.
He enjoyed gardening and lawn care.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Guss Funeral Home, 20 S. Third St., Mifflintown, with Pastor Barbara Inch officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Nook at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call from 7 p.m. until the time of the services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Francis 'Jim' Cooper Jr.
Born Dec. 22, 1948, in Huntingdon, he was a son of Mrs. Don (Ruth) Singleton of Baytown, Texas, and the late Francis Cooper Sr. His wife, Toni Cooper of Baytown, Texas, survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Troy (Dawn Marie) Smith, Lewistown; step-children, Tom Isenberg, James Creek, and Mrs. Dennis (Traci) Sieber, Baytown, Texas; sisters and brother, Donna Cox, Nassau Bay, Texas, Linda Vingless, Baytown, Texas, and Mike Gerdy, New Jersey; and six grandchildren.
He was a driver for United Parcel Service.
Private family services were held Monday at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas.

MIFFLINTOWN - Daniel W. Conn, 72, of Mifflintown HC 63, died at 2:49 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident Wednesday.
LEWISTOWN - Margaret I. "Marge" Connare, 72, of 903 S. Main St., Lewistown, died at 3:25 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999, at Hershey Medical Center.
MCCLURE - Rodney G. Conner, 47, of 511 Whiskey Road, McClure, died at 8:13 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at his residence.
RICHFIELD - Anthony Cook, 27, of Richfield RR1, died of natural causes, at 2:18 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg.
YEAGERTOWN - Lewis L. Cook, 56, of 31 N. Main St., Yeagertown, formerly of Juniata County, died at 2 a.m. Sunday, May 7, 2000, at his residence.
MIDDLETOWN - Clair M. "Pete" Coons, 69, of Caravan Court, Middletown, formerly of Lewistown, died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Hershey Medical Center.
PORT ROYAL - Edwin C. "Ned" Cooper, 91, of Port Royal RR1 (Spruce Hill), died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital.
BAYTOWN, Texas - Francis "Jim" Cooper Jr., 50, of Baytown, Texas, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
