Born Sept. 26, 1926, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Harry S. and Nancy O. (Bennett) Durst. His wife, Kathleen (Habbershon) Durst, whom he married Oct. 20, 1947, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Thomas H. Durst, Orefield, Susan C. Maben, Huntingdon, Joyce A. Durst, Lewistown and Todd R. Durst, Somerset; brothers, John K. Durst and Donald L. Durst, both of Lewistown; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Whiteman and Blanche Billingham.
He was a United States Army veteran, having served during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.
He was employed as a truck driver for Masland Industries of Lewistown.
He was a member of the Paintersville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Paintersville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, with the Rev. George H. Mark officiating. Interment will be in the Paintersville CMA Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to: the Paintersville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 3195 Back Maitland Road, Lewistown, PA 17044.
Catherine E. Earhart
Born Nov. 28, 1907, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur W. and Laura May (Lineinger) Woolridge. Her husband, James Earhart, whom she married in 1953, died in 1964.
She is survived by a niece, Laura Emily Nicholas of Fort Mills, S.C.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Woolridge and Emily Mundt.
She attended Madison Avenue Elementary School and graduated from Avalon High School, Pittsburgh.
She retired in 1955 from Commonwealth Trust, Pittsburgh, where she was employed in the accounting/bookkeeping department.
She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church of Upper St. Clair and Charity Chapter 368 Order of Eastern Star, Pittsburgh.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at Faith Lutheran Church of Upper St. Clair, 29 Bartley Road, Pittsburgh, with the Rev. Charles J. Hartbauer officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh. Friends may call the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church of Upper St. Clair, 29 Bartley Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241.

Adam L. 'Butch' Earnest Jr.
Born March 17, 1942, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Adam L. Earnest Sr and Elizabeth (Cooke) Earnest.
He is survived by: a son, Adam L. Earnest III of 21 Eisenhower Blvd., Duncannon, a daughter, Sharon Geesaman of Lewistown; sisters, Blanche Narehood, McVeytown, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Patton of Lewistown and Mrs. Allen (Joyce) Baker, Belleville and three grandchildren.
He was a truck driver for Wilke's Transport, Elberton, Ga. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 29, at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Peters officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana. Friends may call the funeral home from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown.
Harvey S. Earnest
Born March 27, 1918, in Reedsville, he was a son of the late Harvey P. and Sarah (Bedlyon) Earnest.
His wife, Sarah Jane (Hughes) Earnest, whom he married May 31, 1941, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Mrs. Joe (Barbara) Alcala, Elizabethtown, Mrs. Richard (Sheila) Finegan, Palmyra, and John Marvin Earnest, Longfellow; brothers and sisters, Helen P. Snyder, Brunswick, Ga., Byron C. Earnest, Milroy, David L. Earnest, Reedsville; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
For 32 years, he was a custodian for Lewistown Presbyterian Church, where he was a member of Lewistown Presbyterian Church.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lewistown Presbyterian Church, 17 E. Third St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Bruce A. Hinderliter officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Diane A. Easton
Born Oct. 27, 1943, in Olean, NY, she was a daughter of Mildred (Blue) Aumiller of McClure and the late Donald Warden. Her husband, Milford I. "Med" Easton, whom she married July 24, 1966, survives.
Also surviving are: sons, Robert E. Easton, McClure, and Dale E. Easton Sebring, Fla.; sisters and brothers, Mrs. William (Donna) Page, Lewistown, Mrs. Garth (Beverly) Goodrich, Gainesville, Ga., Ronald Scutt, McClure, and Jerry Scutt, Portville, NY.
She was a homemaker.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Glenwood United Methodist Church, US Highway 522 North, Lewistown, with the Rev. William J. Danis officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
There will be no public viewing, but family will receive friends 6 p.m. until the time of the services Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Glenwood United Methodist Church, c/o 611 S. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Eleanor L. 'Nornie' Eaton
Born Dec. 29, 1937, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of Walter E. Harris, South Wayne Street, Lewistown and the late Stella M. (Peck) Harris, who died March 18, 1986.
Also surviving are: children, Mack Eaton and Stephanie Eaton, both of Lewistown; sister, Mrs. David (Mary J.) Kepner, Port Royal; and two grandchildren.
She had been employed by the American Viscose Cake Processing Dept., Skills, and 15 years as an aid at William Penn Nursing Home. She was also an Avon representative.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lind Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Bailey officiating.
There will be no public viewing.

Zella G. Eaton
Born Jan. 18, 1924, in Milford Township, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Jennie (VanSyoc) Gloss. Her husband, Carl L. Eaton, died April 30, 1988.
She is survived by: a son, Gerald L. Eaton, Thompsontown RR1; a sister, Hazel Allen, Ephrata; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Port Royal United Methodist Church and the ladies auxiliary of the Crawford-Brubaker VFW Post 5863, Mifflintown.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at East Waterford Cemetery, with the Rev. Maureen Wagner officiating.
There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 26 N. Brown St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Robert W. 'Bob' Ebersole Sr.
Born Sept. 18, 1946, in Huntingdon, he was the son of William B. and Helen (Ross) Ebersole of Huntingdon. His wife, Carol Ann (Armstrong) Ebersole, whom he married March 8, 1980, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Timber S. Ebersole, Robert W. Ebersole Jr., and Peter R. Ebersole, all at home; brother and sisters, Thomas Ebersole, Patricia Ebersole, and Joy Merritts, all of Huntingdon.
He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.
He was district manager/salesman for Creed Corporation, Concordville, Pa. Plumbing Supply Co. from 1996-present.
He was a member of the Pine Glen Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where he was treasurer of the Alliance Men for seven years, a Sunday school teacher for the primary department and served on the Long Range Planning Committee.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pine Glen Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Lewistown RR2, with the Rev. Jerry Wise officiating. Interment will be in the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church.

MIFFLINTOWN - Catherine E. Earhart, 91, formerly of 29 Locust Lane, Pittsburgh, died at 5:41 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, in Brookline Manor Convalescent Rest Home, RR1 Mifflintown.
HARRISBURG, Ark. - Adam L. "Butch" Earnest Jr., 57, of 69 Jim Parish Road, Lavonia, Ga., died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1999, in Harrisburg, Ark.
REEDSVILLE - Harvey S. Earnest, 81, of 82 Barrville Mountain Road, Reedsville, died at 11:37 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.
